We stayed in the cabins in December, while we love the cabins, the transportation stinks. If you are used to it then there is no problem, but I want to walk out front and board one bus to take me to the parks or DTD and not have to take an internal bus to one of 2 locations to wait for a bus to the parks. However, we loved the boat to the MK, couldn't use the boat to the Contemporary because we have
ECV's for mom and myself. If we didn't have those, it might not be as bad, but I still don't like the internal bus system (personal opinion), because you have one set that goes to one location and another that goes to a different location, then you have transport to the park or DTD. Having that much room is great and the bathroom was really a nice size. Loved having the kitchen, especially for water and sodas and leftovers (never cook when on vaction).
We didn't use the pools as it was too cold, but there was one right at the end of our loop and there is no theming at all.
If you are on the end of the loop the walk to the bus is not bad, if you rent a golf cart, you don't even have to use the internal buses, because there is an area by the main buses to park the cart. The walk is not really bad from any of the cabins to the bus stop, unless you have your hands full of packages.
You can use the
DDP when you are in them, we did, that is why we had so many leftovers for late night snacks.
There is a television in the bedroom and in the living room. The one in the living room has a VCR/DVD or one or the other. The bedroom can be closed off so not to disturb any one in the ligving room. In the bedroom there is a ful size bed and a set of bunk beds, a closet and a little vanity area, there is a pull down full size Murphy bed in the living room. There is a door to the outside from the bedroom and the kitchen area, a deck with a grill and picnic table.
There are alot of activities for the children. There is a nightly campfire with Chip and Dale (weather permitting), they can see the horses in the stables at the front. Unfortunately the petting zoo is gone. There is a playground near the boat area and the food at Trails End is really wonderful (had breakfast and dinner there).
If I can answer any other questions, please let me know.
