Hi everyone,

My friend and I and her husband (all in our late 20's) will be spending 2.5 days in San Diego. My friend will be there for a conference, but it is only half of the day each day, so she will meet up with us for the afternoon. Any suggestions on things to do while we are there? This is the first time to California for all of us. We will not have a car, and we will be spending 2 days in Disneyland after her conference.

Thanks so much for your input!

Perfect!

Then I would highly recommend the Old Town Trolley Tour. There is a stop at Seaport Village, just a very short walk from that hotel.

You can buy tickets from the driver, and the tour takes you to several stops in SD - Horton Plaza downtown, Old Town, the zoo, Balboa Park, and Coronado.

You pick up the tour at any time, and you can get off the bus at any of the stops, and catch it again at a later time. The driver will give you a schedule.

It's a great way to see the city without having to drive yourself. I believe tickets are around $25/person, but IMO it's worth it.

You may enjoy walking around the Gaslamp District downtown as well. There are tons of bars and neat restaurants.

Seaport Village is a nice place to spend a few hours also. Both of these are within walking distance to your hotel.
