Things to do in line

what about madlibs? those are usually good and can be funnhy - you can theme them too - like teverything has to be Cinderella themed or Frozen themed when they give you words to fill in, etc...

DH and I did madlibs while in line and waiting on shows to start - people around us started throwing in words too - so it gives everyone something to do :)
I got my kids Star Wars MadLibs to take on one trip and asked why they weren't playing them. "They're fun!" I said. DDthen11 said "they're not fun, they're English!!" LOL. Can't sneak any learnin' in on my kids.....(d'oh!).

In line, we usually snack and chat about what we've done so far and what else we're going to do that day. But like another poster, we usually don't get in any line longer than 30 minutes. ( We did wait 2.5 hours for Jack and Sally at DTD, but DH and DS bailed and went to WP!! Haha)

I usually start a story with my daughter and encourage others to jump in. Everybody gets to say a sentence then the next person adds another sentence (or partial sentences). Some versions have it where you have to repeat what was said previously, but we don't do that. It always ends up getting loads of laughs and makes the lines go quickly. Plus the relieved looks on some parents' faces that their children are being entertained make me feel so good that I can make their day that much easier. And some of the lines the kids come up with can be hilarious!

Occasionally we take turns telling short stories about fun or interesting childhood memories, or our parent's/grandparent's memories that have been told to us. Even DD 12 has "childhood memory" stories of her own to tell. Some stories are favorites and get told over and over (and possibly embellished a bit each time).

Well we usually talk to each other or even get to know some of the other people in line. We also depending upon the ride look at the que and talk about the ride and attractions.
