Things to do at Ft. Wilderness

We have plans to do Hoop-Dee-Doo one night and want to arrive early and check out Ft. Wilderness.

What kind of things can we do there and when are they open? I saw mention of pony rides, would that be open late enough for us to check it out before Hoop-D ? Other things we can do ahead of dinner? We don't mind getting there as early as necessary to spend some time doing whatever there is to do there!

Rent some bikes, we had a ball doing this.

I just enjoy the atmosphere. I love walking around FW and taking in the feeling of everything. Rocking in a chair on the porch of Crockett's Tavern, walking around the beach near the marina. Depending on when your ADR is, you could even stay and try to catch the Electrical Water Pageant on the lake in the evening.

if you have the early hoop de do try catching the chip and dale sing along especialy if you have smaller children. its really kinda nice and the kids get to make smores(you have to buy the kits but they arent much) and then they play a disney movie on an outdoor screen or we like to go down to the beach and watch the electrical water pagent and the fireworks from magic kingdom are nice from the beach too. have fun
