Thanks for reading everyone!

Dre -

Would you like that in "loonies" or "twoonies"??? :rotfl2:

GRAM -

Sorry GRAM - I think I stuffed it into my little fanny pack. :lmao:

Next chapter to follow...

I SAID American money. I can't spend that fake stuff! :lmao: :lmao:

The YAKing started way back along the Poly Beach. You could hear us coming and we could hear our Maelstrom Friends. So could the people at the GF. And those trying to enjoy the Spectro parade. And possibly people at Epcot. But no matter!

Many introductions were given. And a lot of hugs and skipping and jumping!

And after a bit I handed out the loot bags.

To everyone.

But where was Kimmie?

Kimmie was there, but she didn’t get a loot bag?

One of Maelstrom’s great mysteries!

Anyhoo….

Here is our happy bunch at the Poly…..minus one!

Where’s YAK?

Funny I didn’t even hear GRAM calling my name.......

Immediately prior to this picture, I was asking where Sheridac went. I was told that they do not sell yummy Pineapple drinks at the Poly Pool bar and that you have to get them inside. Sher was in search for said drinks.

So I went to look for her. The Pineapple sounded interesting.

BTW Sher is not a good Marine. She has a tendency to leave people behind.

I got left behind.

And I got lost. In and around the Poly!

My last visit to the Poly was in the 70’s. I was confused. I was lost. This didn’t look like the 70’s. As you know I’ve been having problems differentiating between the 70’s and other decades throughout this voyage.

I finally found my way back (after purchasing a delicious tropical-fruity-type beverage) and caught up with the group.

But missed the Photo op!

So my dear sweet friend Jamal took this picture so I wouldn’t feel excluded.

PattiatPoly.jpg

(note the pinky....that is a Canadian thing ;) and I was pointing at Sher....nuff said :lmao: )

We all YAKed and laughed and took many pictures of the evening. (For more, refer to The Berg Bergs to WDW and Dorkapolooza TR’s)

The Electrical water parade soon happened by. I love this parade. I have many fond memories of watching it Poly-side in the 70’s! After a while “Wishes” started so some of us went down by the water to watch.

DisneyOct06031.jpg

I think Kimmie was a little upset in this pic because she didn't get a loot bag :teeth:

And special thanks to Mr. Ashclan for getting the chairs!

After the show, Frickles came by. (for more see The Frickles Family goes to Disney) It was so nice to finally meet her. We had a couple of YAK’s on the phone previously.

We YAKed some more. Took more pictures. Laughed. And generally had an excellent time with our new friends!

Finally it was time to leave. Lacto and Dre and their wonderful boys were leaving the next day so had to get back to their hotel. Some were planning to go to DTD to continue the fun and some were going to call it a night.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do.

K had called and they decided to forgo DTD and head to the MK to see Spectro and Wishes. I would see her back at the POP.

And then the dreaded, “VOICE OF REASON” snuck up on me (and a few others in our group)

The Voice told me that I would seriously regret it in the morning if I went to DTD. It told me I wasn't as young as I used to be. Shut up Voice! I'll just YAK not YAK! But if the truth be told, I don't like to feel bad at the happiest place on earth. Even if it cancels itself out because of the fun the previous evening.

The voice of my mother also invaded my head. She said, “Those who dance, must pay the fiddler”. I always heed to this advice, because I HATE paying the fiddler!

So I listened.

To both voices in my head. For the first time. :teeth:

Instead of going out I would return back to the POP for a nice quiet nightcap at the Hippy Dippy………(oooh….foreshadowing……)

So after saying our “goodbye’s”, Jami, GRAM and GRAMPS and I took a cab back to the POP.

While we were waiting for the cab, there was much action happening at the Valet parking kiosk! If you have read Frickles TR, you know what I’m talking. If you haven’t check it out. It’s a great read, and you won’t believe what happened to Frick at the Poly! And either did about 6 other Valet parking guys in and around the Disney property......(oooh more foreshadowing.... :teeth: )

(Don’t you just love how some of these TR’s intersect with one another!!!)

Anyway, off to the POP.

And a whole new meaning to YAKing at the Hippy Dippy!!!!

Up next: The bad YAK. A un-YAKing believable time at the Hippy Dippy!

I sooooooooooo love the look on Kimmie's face cause she doesn't have a loot bag :rotfl2: I might send her mine minus the candy, notebook, pen, straw and lei. That would leave the bag. Yep I am sending it. :rotfl2:

And the pinky pointing at Sheri :lmao:

And we went home for a quiet evening, so as not to pay the piper :rotfl:

Can't wait to see how you handle that :smokin: Been nice knowing ya :rotfl2:

Yipee Yak my dear!!! This is awesome! I'm finally all caught up and loving your tale! I do wish you would have gone out with us, but you're right, Paying the Fiddler at the Happiest Place on Earth is hard to do! Thanks for the TR plug girly!!!! I definitely used my goody bag goodies. In fact, that night at the Poly, Sher started taking TR notes on my little Disney notebook & pen you gave us! I used the rest of the notebook for my TR notes! You are too sweet!!!

Can't wait to finally hear about this Yakking at the Pool!!!!

Whole lot of YAKin going on at the beach....how fun! And YES I love how these trip reports are beginning to layer. Hope you don't end up paying the fiddler again. Great installment! ;)

The voice of reason. I am sure you will tell your kids the same thing and it will play in their heads too when time comes.

You all look like you had a blast. I want one of those pineapple drinks.I noticed you decided against it or did you drink it while been lost and get yet another drink :rotfl2:

Actually NAB, I'm kind of a fruity-punch type gal. The pineapple kind of worried me. So I went for the other. Then I tried Sher's......wow - Rum-city. Jack Sparrow would love the pineapple!!

Lex - luckily for me - I didn't have to pay the fiddler at all that trip. I guess the voice of reason is way too loud!! (Plus, I hate that YAKky feeling)

Frick - I really thought about going out, but my better judgement said no! Next time for sure! And glad you got to use the notepad. I now see why Sher can't remember anything. She didn't write it down!! She didn't have her notepad!

GRAM
Can't wait to see how you handle that Been nice knowing ya
Words. Chosen. Very Carefully!!!! :rotfl2:

And away we go........

The UN-YAK. YAK-SPLAT. YAKing at the Hippy Dippy. THE YAKey Family. This is too YAKing funny? Oh my YAK!

So, Jami Gram and Gramps and I decided that we would have a night cap at the Hippy Dippy Pool bar and discuss the day’s events.

Plus, I was really beginning to like it by the pool. It’s right by the 60’s. With all the really cool sayings on the tops of the buildings. Far out man! Peace, Love and Flowerpower. If you have never had the opportunity to stay at the POP you should. This, coming from a resort snob!!! The POP just makes me smile!!

Anyway, we found a nice table right near the pool.

It was a beautiful September evening. Not too late, but late enough that most little ones were already tucked in their beds dreaming of Mickey and magic!

We were having a simply wonderful conversation talking of which parks we visited and all the wonders of Disney World when suddenly we were interrupted by the awful sounds of a very loud extended family sitting close to the bar. Something was wrong with the pre-teen kids and I believe a fight was in progress.

I have seen some strange things at WDW in my time, poor behaviours, screaming kids, and people generally having meltdowns.

This got our attention.

Then just as we all looked over, the woman at the table with the fighting kids looked down and dropped a little something on the deck right beside her chair.

We weren’t sure at first if what we saw actually happened.

It was one of those things………did you see what I just saw?? :confused3

It kind of sounded like a small cough amongst the arguing and unpleasant noise.

But there was evidence of something on the ground beside her. And the interesting thing was that she did this and continued to drink, party and yell at her children.

Fortunately, one of the kids who added to the scene because she was very inappropriately dressed  got up and got a towel to cover up the evidence.

It was funny, but not.

And wisely, that was Jami’s cue to leave and call it a night.

GRAM, GRAMPS and I decided to stay because this could potentially be some good entertainment. I guess we are easily entertained. At Disney.

This is how our conversation went (or something like it)

Oh my, did you see that?
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Yes, did she really do that?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Right here at the Hippy Dippy.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
There was absolutely no reaction.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Wow, I think I’ve seen it all.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Where do you suppose they are from?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Probably from…….
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No they are definitely Canadian (BTW – no offence to any Canadians – that was said because I am Canadian)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Nah, they must be from one of those way out states….
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No, I’m sure their Canadian.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

And so it went. The more the woman continued to decorate the deck, the more we saw the humour! Not just once, many times. Oblivious to where she was and who she was with.

It was truly disgusting and sad and funny!

This was Disney World, for YAK’s sake.
A place for families to enjoy .

Go to your room!

And there is only so much YAKing at the Hippy Dippy one can take, so we decided to move tables. Out of sight and sound.

Because we knew that, “We have seen enough to know we have seen too much.”

And this brings me to the point of this little YAKky tale:

When you go to WDW there are lots of sights and sounds. Some good. Many great. But some are not so. Be prepared. Move closer the 60’s if you have to. But try to keep your sense of humour because it helps. A lot.

We saw the humour in this evening and as a result I had a fabulous time out with GRAM and GRAMPS. And SHER later, I think. And I didn't have to pay the fiddler in the morning! ;)

After a while way over in the 60’s we decided to call it a night.

But first, we had to settle the argument as to where this family was from.

I told GRAMP’s that I was going to swing by their table on the way back to Siberia and ask them.

I did just that. But never spoke to them. Because the men-folk were now in a very intense discussion that will remain a mystery.

Because this is a family friendly report.

And it’s not what you think. Think wild, wild west.

At the Hippy Dippy

In Disney World!

Oh YAK!

Peace Man!

Can you dig it!

:rotfl2:

Up Next: MK, HM Mini-meet and K and I go to her third park in 3 days

Hello , did you wash away with the rain.....

popcorn:: :hourglass

Oh, YAK! Don't know how I missed this installment?! Funny and digusting all rolled into one! I currently have 2 kids ill with a stomach virus and I sat here and ate a corn dog while I read your YAKin pool installment. Frankly, after the last couple of days, I could eat a corn dog with one hand and clean up....never mind. Too much information.

Didn't find out where they were from?? I was hoping you could rule out KY.....unfortunately, they always seem to be from KY. Hope you're having a great weekend! :sunny:

I'm pretty sure that is what happened. Aren't you sick of it yet? But better rain than snow :thumbsup2

YAK!!! You missed 8 Track 80's for this! :rotfl2:

What a hoot! That is seriously disgusting! I thought this was going to be about a child throwing up by the pool after swallowing too much pool water but  it is worse!!!

You are doing great girlfriend! Loving it!

YAK! Will you forgive me????

I have caught up...finally! I'm glad it was only 8 pages to read!

So fun to hear your perspective on this palooza!

And you are GOOOOd! I totally grossed out at the barfy lady as if I was there!

We toured this resort in Sept. and fell in love with it! Very fun for someone who was born in the (very late) 60's, childhood in the 70's, and "glory days" in the 80's!

Keep on Truckin'!

I truly must be out to lunch cause I had no clue what was on the deck next to their chairs.......OKEY pm me and tell me please.......ROFL.......I am dense....what can I say...
thanks for your report.......as usual you guys must of had a great time all together....

Ohhhh, the goody bags. Are we really bringing this up again?

Can you see me, in the background of this photo, wiping away a tear because of no goody bag? I need more goody bag! :rotfl2:

It's allright, because YAK has promised me the mother of all goody bags the next time we get together. I think it's coming from The Beer Store.
:teeth:

A two-fer, because I am behind on trippies.

O--M---G.

That is horrifying. So nasty. The experience, not the writing. You tell a great story, even when the subject is disgusting with a capital D.

And so suave of you, to deftly avoid saying where these people were from.

You should be an ambassador!

Canada's ambassador of YAK.

We love you, YAK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kimmie, see what you missed by livin' it up on the Boardwalk?

If I wasn't sick before that moment, I KNEW it was bedtime when Yak and Gram pointed out the YAKker. I am still amazed a security CM didn't haul her off property. Defacing the Hippy Dippy should be reason for expulsion.

YAK, my friend, I have been amazed by your writing and your excellent use of the handy word YAK. Who knew???

Keep it coming and please tell K I said Hello in a non-laryngeal voice.
