it used to be that a friend of mine would come home from school and say to her parents, 'Guess what my teacher LEARNED me in school today?'

'Guess what my teacher LEARNED me in school today?'
Getting there/their/they're and too/to wrong are the ones which annoy me most.
I'm guilty of having far too many things I could list here ... but wouldn't it be boring if we were all perfect!!
Top of my hit list is, when saying the name for the letter 'H', so many people pronounce it 'haitch' when it should be 'aitch'.
And if you live in Hinckley then its pronounced Inckley
now i'm guilty of this one..![]()
i've pulled the chain
instead of saying flushed the toilet...
I would of done that, instead of I would have done that.
We were at a meeting with my sons SEN teacher a few days ago and she kept on saying 'pacific' instead of 'specific' It was all I had not to correct her.
I also don't like it when kids say 'I haven't done nothing (of nuffin)' which would surely means that they must have done something![]()
