Things that gross you out in WDW!

I agree about the smell on the monorail! Ew.

One of the other big gross-outs for me is touching the edge of a table or a chair and finding it sticky. :crazy2: Ugggh. This seems to happen particularly often with highchairs, not surprisingly -- do they EVER clean them? I keep wet wipes on me for these (among other purposes).

There's another one that I'm pretty sure I'll be alone on; fortunately, I seem to have finally gotten over it. I used to be nauseated by the smell of...churros! My husband considers it absolute sacrilege, but I couldn't help it -- when I was a teenager, I spent a summer working the games area at Busch Gardens in Tampa. Imagine being outside in the 90+ degree sweltering humidity of Florida summer, stuck in a carnival game booth, and smelling nothing but that churro smell all day. Blerg.

I'm afraid I'm on the list of those grossed out by cigarette smoke, although for me, the smell of someone who's recently smoked is almost worse. It's so concentrated. It's particularly bad in lines and other close-packed areas. I get migraines, and I'm triggered by smells sometimes -- this is one of the worst.

Close standers. Really, do you think you are going to get on the ride faster by making sure that you are breathing on me? It grosses me out and seriously agitates me when people invade my bubble unnecessarily.

And handrails - or any frequently touched surface for that matter (menus, ketchup, door handles, etc.) But my friends tell me this is a personal problem:laughing:

The thing that grosses me out the most is that my kids MUST run their hands along EVERY railing they come to! Seriously I can tolerate everyone else's grossness but it drives me INSANE when my kids do this. WHY, WHY, WHY must they do this????!!!

Word.

And besides, obesity here in the US is just as bad as smoking. Funny b/c if you made the same post searlproud did, only replacing smoking with obesity, you'd probably get torn apart here. However, everyone has an opinion but there are ways of stating what you think without being too harsh.

To prove your point:
Except, of course, overeating never caused a bystander to launch into a full-blown asthma attack unless the overeater flung chopped peanuts about the line in POC and some landed on an allergy sufferer. And no one has died from second-hand, white chocolate-topped, vanilla cupcake aroma....although I came close last March.
;)

You actually took the time to take a picture of this? for what reason? so you could look back and remember the time you saw a woman and her child enjoying the park in clothes you don't feel is appropriate? That makes NO sense..

As for what disgusts me at WDW...

Overly critical people who find fault with everything.

:surfweb:
OK, I thought it was just me..I didn't think the outfit was that bad.:confused3 Not my style(I'm not into the whole "Jersey Shore" look)but she doesn't have anything hanging out and the kid has leggings on underneath her skirt. Give me this woman anyday over the ones who weigh 250+ and are wearing a sloppy t shirt, ill fitting shorts and $1.00 flip flops from Walmart so everyone can see their cellulite and corn chip toenails.:rotfl2::scared1:

I was fine until I got to this part.

May I never look at Fritos the same way again......ugh!

Thankfully, I myself, got my "going to Disney" pedicure on Tuesday.
Sorry..;):lmao: I like to get a pedicure(or give myself one) before and after Disney..I may even try to get one while down there, maybe midway through the trip.

I have thought long and hard about responding to this thread. I have been reading this for a couple of days now. I have had to shut my computer several times and just walk off. I never in a million years would have thought that people could be so rude, so inconsiderate, so downright ugly to other people on a message board - especially a Disney message board! I come here to find out information, to share my knowledge, and to just have a generally good time and I would hope that is why everyone else is here as well.

I have given just about all of my friends the link to the Disboards and after reading everything that has been said in this thread, I am not only apalled, but ashamed of ever giving out the web address! I certainly hope that none of my friends read this thread - Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but come on, this is supposed to be a happy place on the web and yes, there are taboo subjects, but there isn't any reason to attack someone else.

If you are a smoker, please respect the non smokers and stay in the DSAs- non-smokers, don't berate the smokers just because they are doing something you don't approve of! Don't go in the DSA and make rude comments.

If you're a mother who wants to feed her child, go ahead, just understand that some people aren't comfortable and they will gawk and stare and some it makes uncomfortable. Personally, I would have loved the option to breast feed my daughter, but my milk never came in. I didn't have a choice.

Now that I have gotten that off my chest ----- Things that gross me out ---

Snotty nose kids.
Turkey Legs - Although yummy, they look gross!
Bathrooms - Why do people "hang out" in there? Do your business and get out! AND Wash your hands!!!

At the water parks one word sums it up for me....

:scared1: SPEEDO'S! :scared1:

When I went in '97 with a friend we spent a lot of time at the water parks and many of the guests were International visitors. We saw a lot of swimsuits that left little to the imagination, especially on men with beer bellies!

Banana Hammocks lol.. I am with ya.. and what is worse is when you are on the stairs waiting to go on a slide and you are face level with the Speedo...

and those turkey legs...

:LOL, "face level with a speedo" and "banana hammock":rotfl:. Add one more thing to my list, excessively hairy men..a little chest hair is nice but when a man has a pelt, time to go get waxed or have someone shave you down. Back hair really grosses me out, especially when sweaty.

OT but we need a puking smiley..

I wasn't being PC..

There is a pic on these boards of me with BLUE HAIR. I am a 38 year old man with BLUE HAIR,:scared1: and have been mistaken as my 12 year old sons older brother. We wear each others clothes. We like the same music, e both play video games.

I wonder how many people stopped and took MY picture while i was at the park so they could show it to their friends and say "OMG how Inappropriate that this man is embracing his individuality, and recapturing his childhood while at Disney!!!"

Not being PC, just cannot believe how rude and condesending some people are.

(Oh and for the record.. I am a suit and tie business man Mon-Fri 9-5, respected and acknowledged for my skills and knowledge.. with BLUE HAIR)

I <3 you. :)

EMBRACE YOUR INDIVIDUALITY! :cheer2:

Three people passing the same ice cream back and forth while waiting in line -but you could tell from their voices that one had a VERY bad cold...(the next day, 3 probably had a very bad cold).

That could very well be me and some of my family. I have horrible allergies, which can sound like I have a cold. But I am not contagious.

Or it could just be that one person did have a cold, but after spending many days on vacation together the other people probably figured they would get it anyway, so sharing ice cream was no big deal.

OK now I know what not to do at Disney.

The horror that I could open a post and read that I've grossed out someone.
