Things I would never have done without the DIS

Never dreamed that I would actually spend HOURS sitting in front of the computer reading about other's experiences at Disney!

Another question, now that I'm reading through the thread.

Where is the best place to see Illuminations? That is dh's FAVORITE .

On our last visit, I tried a location that someone on the photography boards suggested. Go to the Canada pavilion, go up the steps to the next level. You can lean against the wall and watch Illuminations. By the time Illuminations began, the wall was pretty well occupied.

So very, very much, but I definitely would not have:

(1) Made it to rope drop -- I wouldn't have understood how much it helps out
(2) Gotten DD's hair cut at Main St. Barbershop and then have it decorated with gel & confetti
(3) Eaten a Dole Whip at MK OR a butterfinger cupcake at DHS -- so wanting both right now btw!
(5) Drank a Grand Marnier slushie at Epcot-France
(6) Found the "shortcuts" in the parks
(7) Figured out how to avoid the crowds over Thanksgiving week
(8) Known about Tour Guide Mike -- I absolutely love his site for best park days
(9) Known about all the little things to look for -- hidden Mickeys, interesting info on rides, behind-the-scenes trivia, etc
(10) Known the best places to see the fireworks or parades -- I'm sure I would've figured it out eventually over a few trips, but I didn't even have to try ... I just went and enjoyed (Robo's maps really help with Wishes)!

I would LOVE to hear your Thanksgiving week strategy!

The annual passholders' free ridealong at the Petty Driving Experience ended March 31, 2010, IIRC.... sorry!!!

I'd never have known about the 'hidden' EPCOT museum with all the history of EPCOT. I love EPCOT so this was such a great find!!

I intend to try the cream cheese pretzels this year as I hear so much good stuff about them!

I also want to try some of the restaurants I hear so much about... Yachtsmans Steakhouse the one I'm most looking forward too!

It's a way to recognize/call you out to other Disers in the parks. A friend of mine makes a cutout and pins it to her purse.
