The fifth Harry Potter movie.
I know there is like three other threads on the movie.
But I'm not a fan of the movies, and I'd like to list everything I found wrong with it. I don't want to hear: 'Oh they can only fit so much in.'
To me, that's not an excuse.

1. Near the end of the movie, someone uses the Levicorpus spell. This spell, was not mentioned until the SIXTH book and was written by Snape (the Half-Blood Prince). The person who uses the spell in the movie, I believe was Hermione.

2. They completely left Percy out of the movie. They don't mention that he thinks lowly of his family. You see him at the end, behind Fudge, but not doing anything.

3. They also left out the fact that at Christmas, Arthur, was not home. He was in the hospital and they visited him. During that time, they run into Lockheart, and Neville's mother.

4. They left out Harry throwing a hissy fit in Dumbledore's office at the end. They made a, what? 20 second scene? This part of OOTP, is probably the most important, and they left a lot of info out.

5. Harry does not envision Sirius when Fred & George have their fireworks celebration (this part happens earlier in the book, and they leave for many reasons). He faints during his History Of Magic OWL (which he failed because he never finished it).

6. They completely left out Quidditch.

7. They completely left out the fact that Ron & Hermione are Prefects.

8. The others never find out what Thestrals are, but seem to have no problem riding them

9. The Golden Coins used for the DA were missing.

10. Marietta was missing, and the fact that SHE WAS THE ONE who snitched about the DA.

11. The left out the House Points System completely

12. The Prophecy was actually broken the way it was shown in the movie.

13. They left out the part of Harry asking the ghosts if Sirius could become one.

14. Much of the battle between the students and the Death Eaters was left out. There were many more rooms, and in the book Ron gets attacked by something.

15. Petunia got a howler in the book that said 'Remember my last'. This was not shown in the movie.

16. [Added by Elyse] They left out Sirius's mother, and the fact that Kreacher said that Sirius wasn't in the house when Harry went to check.

There are more, if you can think of any, add some.
I dislike the movies, and think they're highly inaccurate, and they won't pull together nicely through the next two movies. If they do, it probably won't stay true to the plot.
This movie was probably one of the worst, other than the third movie, POA, which is still the worst.

10. Marietta was missing, and the fact that SHE WAS THE ONE who snitched about the DA.

That was the only one I heard about. I was slightly dissapointed but i'm ok now.

Thanks for sharing. Now I'll know what was cut out I won't be too awfully mad when I go see it.

*note. It might of sounded like this was sarcastic. This was not meant to be sarcastic whatsoever.*

Seriously. Thanks :].

I liked it, sure they left alot out, but you cant have a 4 hour long movie.

They could have put Quidditch in.
They've had longer movies before.
This book, was 870 pages, the longest book so far. And they made it the shortest movie.

I was really dissapointed about the Department of Mysteries..
They didn't have the spinning doors.
And I really wanted to see Ron be all crazy and say he say 'Uranus'
I still really loved the movie though, because some parts gave me chills, the details were so good.

The actual cinematography was fantastic. I loved the scene with the Patronus Charm.
However, sticking to plot, seemed to be hard for the director, screen writers, etc.
The part where Hermione says something along the lines of 'emotion of a spoon', she start laughing. It looks like the laughing was her own reaction to the line (which lasted too long) that they never bothered cutting out.

Yeah,
but really, if they had the movie cover everything in the book..
well that would be a very long movie.
I do think they could have added a lot more..
I would be willing to sit in that theature for four hours. :]

Ahaha, same. I'd sit longer than that.
But they could have done better.
I'm just one of those people who doesn't appreciate the movies as much, and would actually prefer that they had not been made.
Of course, Pottermania wouldn't be as strong as it is today without it.

You're not missing much.
If you've read the books, you're not missing much.

And the left out Sirius's mother, and the fact that Kreacher said that Sirius wasn't in the house when Harry went to check.

You know, every time a new HP movie comes out, someone does a "What was wrong with this movie and why it pretty much -cough- stunk" thing (no offense ment at all). I never see a "Good things that the director left in the movie and what made it awesome" anything (again, no offense meant at all). And every time I look at these things and decide that I don't want to see HP anymore, because they leave so much out. But once I get to the theater, I LOVE the movie and have all praise with a few complaints about it. So I find myself wondering "Why does everyone say the movie was terrible when it really wasn't that bad?"

Okay, bring on the flames.

Okay, bring on the flames.

Why do I not say it was fantastic, why do I not praise it?
Because I didn't like it.
Because I didn't think it does the book justice.
I've seen plenty of OMG IT WAS AMAZING threads.
Go on any or most forums, and you'll find some.
I'm loyal to the true, plot line, with all the facts. I just don't like movies that were books first.

I love the actress who played Luna, she was good.
And I loved the patronus scene, the rabbit and otter were beautiful.

I loved the movie too :D
I thought it was amazing, but I think it would be better, if they added some stuff.

Go check out the other threads.
This is just stating what they didn't like.
And if they decided they hated the movie. There is nothing wrong with it.
There is some people that love it and some people don't.
It's their opinion.

I am nitpicky.
I observe some of the littlest details in books.
And yes, I do sit through most of the movie going 'That's not write, what the hell are you doing?'
