Things I definitely will NOT do on my next WDW trip...

1. I will plan more carefully (no, make that, I will PAY ATTENTION to my existing plan MORE carefully) so that I do NOT end up wasting 5 CS meal credits and 5 snacks (couldn't find rice krispie Mickeys anywhere at Epcot on our way out of the park to the airport). That was painful for a cheapskate like me. However, it really WAS fun to treat that unsuspecting couple at Seasons to lunch on our last day! I kept waiting for people to show up who were NOT on the dining plan so I could buy their lunch and not waste our CS meals!

2. I will make sure I have at least a few minutes each night before going to sleep to review the next day's plan and make adjustments (see number 1 above).

3. I don't think I will rent a car next time. I know that sometimes your own transportation is cheaper, but NOT when you keep getting lost every night on the way home from the parks! (Sheesh, and in the midst of all that signage, too. :bitelip:

4. I will buy things I see in gift shops that I really, really want but put off buying, saying, "I can probably find this on eBay or get it online later". NOT!!!! :sad2:

5. I will NOT try to keep up such a breakneck speed next time. :Pinkbounc

6. I will be a little more insistent when my dd cries, "Let's ride it again!" to try another, different ride. I feel like I rode "Soarin" for about half of last week. And although I loved it, I realize that I really missed a lot of other rides because we kept repeating the same ones over and over. (Soarin' six times, Splash Mtn 4 times, Dumbo 4-5 times...you get the idea...) :confused3

7. I will not pass up so many PhotoPass photographers. We got some really great pics from those folks, and could've gotten more. :thumbsup2

8. I will NOT pass up opportunities to do the parks with just my dd and me. A couple of times, my mom was just too pooped to join us, and I was reluctant to face the parks with my little one alone (she tends to roam!). But when we did go just the two of us, we had a blast! :wizard:

9. I will make even better use of Fast Passes! They certainly are your friends!

10. I will REMEMBER my sunglasses!! :cool1:

What about you?

3. I know what you mean about driving around WDW. It always takes me a day of getting lost before I finally get it figured out!
4. I know what you mean. When we were DD, I saw the 'bookcase' decorations for Epcot with each decoration an Epcot theme such as the globe. I didn't buy it thinking I could order it from the Disney store. No such luck. Next visit I'm definitely buying it.
5. Not me. I'm always going fast no matter what I'm doing. It's just the way I am. However, my DD slows my DS and me down.
9. Fast Pass is your friend. But, hopefully (he says selfishly), only the Dis board members use them!
10. You did buy some, right?

Whoa! Forgot the number 1 item:

**I will NOT take a purse or backpack with a magnetic closure to the parks! My ticket/key card got demagnitized because of this several times!

I will NOT be upset if my family wants to do something other than what I planned... we will be spending more time at the resort, and taking breaks during the day.

I will also try not to overpack... this goes for my upcoming trip to Key West also... but then again, I say this before any trip and I always end up packing things I never use/wear!

I will not be afraid to be a kid again and take in the magic!

I will not wait in line for an attraction for more than 30 minutes.

I will not let DH ruin my magic. :wizard:

I will not feel like I have to see everything, because I WILL BE BACK!

That in my #1 promise to myself!

I'll take the combo....not let DH ruin my magic and not be afraid to go with DS's alone!

:guilty: :confused3 :rolleyes1  I will no longer allow others to "partially" convince me that it is weird for a 58 year old, divorced male to go to WDW by himself. Not just once but for the past 5 consecutive years.

I don't drink or gamble or smoke...why can't I do this without people trying to make me feel guilty about it. Or worse yet, my finding myself making excuses to people as to why I go.

i will NOT attempt to eat a dole whip :crazy2: hehehe ;)

my big lesson from last time - i will NOT 'take it easy' on the last day. last time we did DTD last and it was SO depressing, it rained and my friend wasn't really into shopping and i really wished we had decided to go to a park. this time we'll be spending our final day at MK before a late night flight so i won't have any time to sit around ruminating about how the trip is almost over!

I will NOT ride Tower of Terror
I will NOT wear sandals
I will NOT eat chicken fingers -(at least I'm not planning on it). :)

I will NOT eat at Tony's!
I will NOT go on Mission Space twice in a row!

HAVE A GREAT TRIP !!!!!!!!! ;) MOTHER AND SON

DH AT HOME FINE WITH ME !!!!!!!!! :)

I WILL NOT forget to put sunscreen on the tops of my feet at Typhoon Lagoon!

I WILL NOT got to Donald's Breafastosaurus in AK. Terrible service and almost non-existant character interaction

I WILL NOT waste a day at Disney Quest. Great for DH and the kids. For me, not so much. If they want to go, I'll go shopping! :yay:

Oh no! I have to take my diaper bag backpack on this trip and it has a magnetic closure! Anything I can do avoid the demagnitization while using this bag?

I will not eat at Sci-Fi

I will not go another year without seeing Illuminations(15 trips and I have yet to see it)

I will not go home

EVER

OK maybe that is not true....

but I wish it were true!

Tell them you're staying in Key West - just leave out the "Old" part. :lmao:
Or you can know even use "Saratoga Springs". Oh and even better - you're going on an African safari - to AKL :goodvibes. People that rain on your parade don't actually deserve for you to be honest with them. :teeth:

Back OT: I will not tell my in-laws about the trip prior to going. If we surprise them with a quick visit and dinner, then my mooching BIL can't magically show up with his tribe and expect me to foot the bill. :teeth:
