Things I definitely will NOT do on my next WDW trip...

I will not waste my time on EM, whether evening or morning.
I will not bother eating at 'Ohana again.
I will not forget my deoderant and have to pay $5 for a sample size every 3 days!

That's about it. We have our trips down to a science. We never go commando. We always relax and take our time. Every day we hang at the pool for a few hours before heading out.

I will not forget about everything I want to do, just to please everyone else in my family! I'm always last on the list, and little things that I would love to do, get kicked to the curb. I'm the one planning the vacation, I need some ME time.

BOY THIS IS A GREAT THREAD IT GETS TWO :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I WILL NOT STAY ON THE DIS ALL DAY :surfweb: THINKING I MISSED A DISCOUNT OR SOME GREAT ADVISE ON OUR UP COMING TRIP IN AUGUST.... AND WHEN MY HUSBAND GETS HOME FROM WORK HE'S ASKING WHAT DID I DO ALL DAY :scratchin I JUST CAN'T HELP MY SELF

I WILL NOT WAKE MY FAMILY UP AT 5:30 IN THE MORNING EVERY SINGLE MORNING TO GET TO THE PARKS AND STAY ALL DAY AND NIGHT AND STILL NOT ACCOMPLISH WHAT I WANT.

I WILL NOT STAY IN THE SAME ROOM AS MY DSIL AND HER CHILDREN JUST TO HEAR HER CHILDREN AND MY CHILDREN BICKER AND NIT PICK WITH ONE ANOTHER :headache: NEXT TIME SEPERATE ROOMS ;)

I WILL NOT LET THE SMALL THINGS UPSET ME

I WILL NOT LET OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS CONTROL HOW MANY DAYS MY FAMILY STAYS AT DISNEY... BECAUSE THEY CAN'T STAY THE WHOLE TIME WE WOULD LIKE

I WILL MAKE SURE I PICK UP GIFTS WHEN I SEE THEM

I WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FAST PASS I'VE COME TO REALIZE IT IS OUR FRIEND :teeth:

I will not say what I will not do on my next trip but instead go, have a good time and enjoy each and every moment to the fullest. :teeth:

Oh, great thread!

I will NOT travel with people who aren't as "into it" as I am. If I am in Orlando with people who don't get it, we'll find something else fun to do together but will skip the parks.

I will NOT forget that *I* am also there to have a good time and I am not by default the tour guide who doesn't get a vote.

I will NOT bring my backpack so I don't end up hauling all of DH's stuff all day!

Next time I won't

1: Use my mug from the last trip.

2: Smoke in the non smoking room or non-smoking areas.

3: Stay in my seat on the bus when there is a disabled, or elderly person, or mother carrying a child, who is in need of the seat.

4: Cut the lines and give an attitude when people complain.

5: Let my child pee in the bushes.

6: Spend a ton of time in the companion restroom by myself.

7: Let my kids climb all over people on the bus.

8: Not pay attention while my kids run all over the place.

9: Fill my mug to the top so I can taste what "Pibb Extra" is and then dump it.

10: Rent a wheelchair even though I don't need it so I can get on rides faster.

11: Yell at the CM who won't let my 2 year old on Space Mountain.

12: Yell at the CM for not watching my kids.

13: Let my kids break things in the souvenir store.

14: Wear really low cut jeans so my butt crack is showing.

15: Let my kids jump up and down on the beds and make lots of noise at 3 AM.

16: Pool Hop :)

Other than those things, I'll probably do the same things I did on my last trip.

Other than those things, I'll probably do the same things I did on my last trip.

You forgot-park at Downtown Disney and take the Disney bus since you're too cheap to pay nine bucks.

I will not drive through Atlanta GA during any weekday during sunlight, or within 3 hours of either sunrise or sunset.

I will not stay 1/2 way home-last Oct we stayed at the holiday Inn Marietta, which has since burnt down.

I will not buy too much at WalMart that has to be thrown away before departure.

I will not let my wife visit the Joann fabrics on 192 to buy a cartload of scrapbook supplies.

I will not eat at Sizzler on Intnatl Drive.

I will never order the tabbouleh wrap at the ABC Commissary again, still have nightmares about that one. :teeth:

I will agree with everything that my 14 yr old DD says while on vacation, pick your battles. ;)

Will never stay off property again, it's too hard to get DH to go back after an afternoon break. :)

::yes::

You said just what I was thinking. Maybe you and I should go to DW together!!

I will not be so stressed about what and how everyone else is doing that I don't enjoy myself.

I will not let my adult 27 yr old brother scream at me until I cry in the line at the ABC commissary because he's having a vacation breakdown. (Sorry to anyone that was in line with us on Dec. 10) :headache:

I will not leave any sweets uneaten :goodvibes Or at least I'll give it my best attempt!

:guilty: :confused3 :rolleyes1  I will no longer allow others to "partially" convince me that it is weird for a 58 year old, divorced male to go to WDW by himself. Not just once but for the past 5 consecutive years.

I don't drink or gamble or smoke...why can't I do this without people trying to make me feel guilty about it. Or worse yet, my finding myself making excuses to people as to why I go.

If ya feel guilty c'mon with us next time- I'll lend you a son or two to follow around

4. I will buy things I see in gift shops that I really, really want but put off buying, saying, "I can probably find this on eBay or get it online later". NOT!!!!

2. I will make sure I have at least a few minutes each night before going to sleep to review the next day's plan and make adjustments

can't agree with these two more........i always get the game plan in order the night before for the next day. tidy up the room a bit, get my thoughts and food plan in order for the next day and then figure out what time to set the alarm for. (or if we get to sleep in :faint: )

i also seem to kick myself and say " why didn't i buy that?!?!?" i missed out on more than one thing that i can't find online and they no longer sell at the parks. from now on i will buy what i want when i see it. i have an entire list of things i hope are still there when i get back.

1. I will not justify to ANYONE why I have chosen to visit WDW again.

2. I will not justify to ANYONE how I can afford to go again (don't whine to me when I am sitting at my desk eating by brown bag lunch and you are standing there with your $5 mocha-choco-almond latte in you hand talking about how you HAD to order take out last night because you didn't feel like cooking).

3. I will not bring anyone along who does not add VALUE to my trip (if all you do is mope about and you can't do anything to make my trip enjoyable - you don't get to come with me).

4. I will go to the outlet stores and the $10 or less in DTD my first or second day in Orlando. That way I can get my bargain shopping out of the way and purchase in the parks whatever I see that I want and not worry that it may be somewhere cheaper.

5. I will remember to bring my rain poncho. Having it sitting in my suitcase back at the hotel does me no good.

6. I will keep my camera out at all possible times (other than rain or water or where prohibited) I am getting better at taking more pictures but I am still not taking enough.

7. I will not worry about everything being "perfect".

8. I will not skip attractions because other people say they are "lame" or "awful". I liked Tiki birds, magic carpets and sounds dangerous.

9. I will treat every trip like my last cause you just never know.

10. I will rent DVC points (at least for part of my stay) I don't care about daily housekeeping and you can't beat the price.

On my next trip:

I will NOT bring the entire marching band (Oh, wait, yes I will).

I will NOT stay in a value resort (Oh, wait, yes I will).

I will NOT let someone else plan my days (Oh, wait, yes I will).

I will NOT cry like a baby when my DD and DS swing around the castle and march down Main Street, playing Jingle Bells with all their friends and all the parents proudly cheering them on (Oh, wait, YES I WILL!!)!

Chaperoning this band trip is going to be the absolute anthesis of every DIS planning tip I've ever read or done. And I can hardly wait!

KC :sunny:

I will not....
go on mission space ever again

talk myself out of buying souveniers, if it's something we really like

We will NOT go to a water park again if it is too cold just because we have the options on our park hoppers and we feel we have to use them. Yeah, that's how we both ended up with colds!

We will NOT take the bus anywhere unless we absolutely do not feel like driving. I HATE THE BUS. Our first day there and what's the first thing we get to experience? After a 45 minute wait for a bus, a toddler meltdown on the bus. NO THANKS. We will always rent a car and come and go as we please. It allows us to visit other resorts as well. Also, we walk whenever, wherever possible. Taking the boat is OK, but NO BUS.

We will NOT ride things we don't even like just to say we did them. Case in point, Winnie-the-Poo. The line is always long and we don't even like it, so why would we waste a fastpass on it? Or worse yet, wait in line?

I WILL stay in the EPCOT resort area. You can walk to two parks and a bunch of fine resorts. DH and I stayed at WL a week ago, and we spent 5 out our seven nights in the Boardwalk area resorts....walking to MGM, walking to Epcot, eating at Beaches and Cream. I think we got the hint where we are meant to stay....whether it's a few hundred dollars more expensive or not!

Here are my ones

1 I will not wimp out of rides, I didn't try a lot of rides but I am going to do them this time.

2 Will not worry about how much the food is a resteraunt (ddp is your friend)

3 Will not trip over the cat hit my foot against the door frame and break a toe!!!!!!!!!

:scared1: :faint: :lmao: :rotfl2: :cool1: :surfweb: pixiedust:

I think every person who is going to Disney for the first time (or second or third) should read this thread!!!

I would love to condense all these into one big list to give to people when they tell me they are going to WDW and have no idea of what they are doing!
