Next year I will be going on a 7 day Disney Cruise (on the magic) with my family. This will be my second time cruising, but my first time being in the Teen Club instead of the Oceaneers Lab.

I had a blast the first time I went but I'm not sure what kind of activites are open to me since I will be 16 at the time of our cruise.

I'd appreciate the Help Thanks:)

There's tons of things to do. And if you go up there in the middle of the afternoon when it's kind of slow, you can ask the counsellors to hang out with you or play a game. They don't mind.. and it's their job xD Last time I went, one of the counsellors was Gez (Wales), and he absolutely loves to play card games. He taught me a couple of them, it was fun. He was amazing.

There's quite a few of trivia games. Like Gender Wars, to see which gender knows more about the opposite. Crowning of the Couch Potato (tv and movie trivia) and other games like that.

There was also a video camera challenge, where they give you a camera and list of things to video tape throughout the ship. It was fun.
I didn't really spend too much time up there, but I was there a lot more than I had been in the Oceaneers Lab (I went once when I was 12)

The video camera challenge is a ton of fun!
On the first cruise I went on I definately spent more time in the stack. There was plenty of down time if you wanted to just play games or watch movies.
But I'd also advise you to see the shows and experience the other things they have on the ship - don't seclude yourself in the teen club the whole time! Bingo is fun, as were the magic shows and comedians! Have a good time!!

How is it as to meeting people? Is everyone just like, hey how are you or is it a little more awkward at first?

Well, for me it was awkward. But I'm an awkward person, and I was only 13, and a lot of the people were older.
Usually though for the first day or so it's 'Hi, where are you from?'
I just ended up saying Canada everytime because they didn't know diddley squat about provinces. Anyhoo. With the trivia they always wanted my brother and I on their team. It was 'WE WANT THE CANADIANS' xD.
There was another Canadian there, but they didn't want her.

Thanks for all your help guys!

p.s On my first cruise my mom went to the cruise forum and found other people my age that i could meet up with. It was really fun and a cool way to get to know people.

next year will be my second time in the stack(teen club) it is a lot of fun, if you let yourself have fun, i had to admit it was a little akward at first, but you just have to b brave and not b too shy .introduce your self , thats wat i did and like an hr later i had a group of friends and it just got bigger. we were hanging out like we new each other it was nice, and we spent the rest of the cruise together,

wat cruise r u on, i am on the july 20-27 cruise , if anyone is on that one reply to this plz.

The first day, everyone is meeting everyone and being introduced to everyone. And usually there is always atleast a couple of teens who will be the most outgoing and they will ask you a whole bunch of questions (name, age, hometown, are you scared...stuff like that lol) and if they don't, then the counselors will help you find people around your age or your hometown. The counselors are really cool and very helpful if you become a little overwhelmed (like I did).:grouphug: :woohoo:

Well. First of all disney cruises are fun. I have been on 11 and enjoyed every single one. I meet people my age and lots more. If you like games and don't mind the price, the arcade on deck 9 midship is a cool place. If you don't want to pay, i just looked behind the game for arcade cards..:rotfl:

A second good place as tohers have stated is the stack. Many fun things up there, and you can meet a lot of people. Also, if you go on excersions you meet a family. Like me on the Med. Europe cruise. We met a family on a train on the way to Vatican city or something. I still talk to him in texts.

Back to the purpose, if you enjoy the cruises and disney places, a great idea would be to join the disney vacation club. It makes things a lot cheaper and seems more to enjoy all your vacations.

Another must see are the shows. You should know what times they are playing, what they are showing, and what theatre they're in. The main theatre for the shows are the Walt Disney Theatre. The movies are held in the Buena vista theatre.

Another great place to hang out is the lobby and such. On the third floor they have the large windows with seats. If you are bored or don't know what to do you could relax on one of those.

I hope my expierence will help you, and have a magical and Great cruise:wizard:

Thanks you guys! I'm going on the 2009 August 15th Tortala (sp?) Cruise on the magic with m two cousins who will be I think 9 and 10.

Hey, i am cruse-ing next year too, not sure which date

as a teen the must do's are probly just hang

the wildside is another must too, it is an excursion on bike to another side of castaway cay

If your going to use the arcade a little but not a lot it's fine to wait til thursday and go on free night

Do not get caught hanging on a staircase/in an elevator/jumping from deck 6 to deck 5 by the elevator(as much fun as it is)

don't avoid all the "family stuff" some (but not most) of it is actuly kinda enjoyably

as during must meals, i am saveing the desert of this post for last

GO TO THE MIDNIGHT DESSERT BUFFET

P.S. (do you guys understand my name now XD)

At first, i never wanted to go to the stack (teen club). After a while of seeing and hearing of some of the events they were having, I said this sounds like some really cool stuff. So eventually i found my way to the stack. There's also (on the magic) aloft, which is basically, the same as the stack.

IT's so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:jumping1:

p.s. i recommend going on the Castaway Cay excursion (biking, snorkeling, etc.) I personally found it fun and i rarely find things fun!!! ... hahaha
