I'm not going to go on and on because I feel like I'm beating a dead horse and I know you're all sick of reading about my runDisney obsession, but there is one last thing that I want to say.
One of the things I love about runDisney races is one of the things we all love about Disney in general - they're so inclusive. I'm by no means a runDisney expert, but I've done 3 rD races over two race weekends, and I've paid attention to other participants. There are participants who finish before I even start the race (because I tend to start in a later corral), and participants who finish quite a bit after I do (and I take a long time on these races). There are participants who have done many other races (both Disney and non-Disney) and participants who are doing their first race. There are participants who are skinnier than me and participants who are heavier than me. There are participants that are older than me and participants that are younger than me. There are participants who love running, and participants who run for the bling. runDisney participants are such a diverse group, and I really don't think you can lump them all into one age/shape/fitness obsession.
I have full confidence that every single member of the podcast team could train to walk or run a runDisney race (unless someone has a health condition for which that much walking/running is counterindicated ... in which case, they really shouldn't). There are members of the team who could probably do a runDisney race tomorrow. I'm not saying they all have to do a runDisney race (not everyone is interested in walking/running a race, and that's perfectly fine), but I know of no reason why anyone on the team couldn't.
That said ... the team will cover what they think is most important when they think it is important to cover it. I think they know from this thread (and a few others that have been started recently) that there are a few of us who want them to talk more about runDisney, including mentioning registration dates. Whether or not they do that is up to them. We've put the request out there, and now it's up to the team to decide if it's important enough to spend a few minutes on it.
