Things break in threes, so something is coming!

Last night I woke up at 2AM and came downstairs--DH was mopping! Said the dishwasher leaked! the door was shut (it won't start unless the door is locked) so I think the dishwasher has had it. It has failed to drain a few times in the last year but we have been able to unclog and fix it. I don't know if it came with the house, but it's been here for the 4 1/2 years we have--the house is almost 10 years old, so if it is original we are definately due.
So, I think, time to look at dishwashers.
Then, I drop my car off at the auto mechanics classroom at the school where I teach. They will change the oil during the day and only charge for materials. The teacher (bless him) calls me and tells me "I'm putting two tires from one of our vehicles on your van because you can NOT drive on them". One of my sidewalls was split open. I had 57000 miles on them and knew I was coming due, but didn't expect it to be TODAY.
So after school I spent $321 on four new tires. Guess we'll be washing dishes by hand for a week or two.
In the meantime, I know these things come in THREES...so I am just waiting for the third shoe to drop, so to speak!

Don't jinx yourself! I bet you'll have to buy all new shoes for the family since you mentioned shoes.

Sorry you've had a run of bad luck. I hope you get your washer fixed or replaced soon.

Replacing 4 tires on my van was our third incident of bad luck so I'd better be done!!!! This happened on Friday and I can't complain.....they were the original tires and the van has 75,000 miles on it but we also didn't expect it to happen now.

The previous Friday we woke to no hot water and a small but steady leak from our water heater. It was 10 years old but we didn't expect it to happen now.....because we had just replaced our main TV.....after it started shutting itself off periodically.

DH & I are trying to decide who gets to claim the water heater as their Christmas present...the other one claims the tires........and the TV is our family gift.....Fa La La La La La La La La!
