JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT STUFF THAT WILL EITHER BE TO SCARY OR NOT TALL ENOUGH FOR.

Based on the reactions to some of the younger children in "It's Tough To Be a Bug" at AK, this might be one you'd want to skip. The bugs aren't all cute and cuddly (such a Flick) and at one point (I don't remember when) something sudden happened and about 10 young children started SCREAMING bloody murder. Lots of the parents ended up getting those kids out.
I had read ahead of time about to expect this to happen, but even with the warnings that Disney posts, some kids still get freaked.
:D

Just so you know though my kids 4 & 8 loved ITTBAB. They didn't find it scary at all, but they love stuff like that. It was neat. My 4 year old did everything he could do, which was almost everything except the big coasters of course. He also loved TOT. I guess it depends on the child.

Have fun

My 4 year old did everything she could too and only didn't like TOT. She didn't freak out or anything, just said she didn't like it. She did like ITTBAB, just not the spiders! She was upset she couldn't ride Mission Space and of course SM, when she's big enough!

we just came back from WDW and our children are 4,5,and 6. My 4 and 5 year old were able to go on most everything except space moutain at magic kingdom and few of the coasters at animal kingdom. At MK they enjoyed themselves on everything, they were able to ride everything else even splash mountain, big railroad, they loved meeting the characters the best though, and don't miss the night parade. At AK they loved the it's a bug's life, the were able to ride the kali rapids and just loved it, it was their favorite ride there, safari was okay, but you can't miss the lion king show, by far the best show of WDW I'd have to say. We did MK in two days, right side first, Fantasyland, toontown, and tommarrowland one day, and the other side another day.:jester: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:

Everyone's correct - really depends on the child. My DD, who had just turned 4 on our last trip, did not like the 3D shows (especially ITTBAB). However, she loved Test Track, Space Mountain, etc. (Yes, she is very tall - I'm 6'4"). She just informed me yesterday that she is no longer scared of 3D movies - so we'll find out for sure in Oct!

Why don't you ask them...

for the rides you are not sure of (assuming they are tall enough), explain your concerns about why you feel they may not like the ride.
-It may be a dark ride... Haunted Mansion
-Are there things that might jump out and startle/scare them (tough to be a bug)
If it explained the rigth way they may decide to give it a try or not. If they decide not then so be it.

The only one my DD couldn't ride or didn't ride was RnR at MGM because the height requirement is 48 inches but this year she's hoping she'll make it!

Ps....I forgot about Alien Encounter....she does NOT want to do that!

Instead of It's Tough to Be a Bug and Honey I Shrunk the Audience, take your kids to the Muppets 3-D at MGM. I'm not sure if I would do Tower of Terror at that age unless the kids really want to and are thrill seekers. I know some adults who don't like it.

It really depends on the child.
DS5 didn't like ITTBAB and Fantasmic at all! He liked most other rides.
DD8 will never go on PofC again. It freaked her out and she freaked on both HM (didn't make it into the ride) and ITTBAB (we were one of the families who had to leave!)
However, she loves most of the other rides. I think it is the "human" realism that gets her. We haven't done Hall of Presidents either. I've told her all about it and she still is reluctant. If it's animated characters, she's fine - but human robots - she doesn't like!
We still have avoided: Alien, Dinosaur, TofT, RnR coaster, Snow White Scary ride.
My advise is to get a book guide book or check out www.wdwig.com and let them decide.
Just be prepared, they may want to opt out once you stand in the line (DD at HM).
