Okay, I pride myself on being able to buy great clothing, household stuff, pretty much anything we need at the lowest price around. I usually never pay full price for anything.

Now, my dilema....

We are leaving for WDW(yeah!) on July 25th for a week's vacation. We will be returning on August 3rd. The first day of school is August 9th. I am planning on doing some shopping this week for back-to-school - backpacks, lunchboxes, paper, crayons etc. The stores have started stocking these supplies but the sales have not started yet. I am think I will not have much time between when we get home ane the first day of school(plus the selection will be limited).

So what is your opinions? Buy it now and not worry about missing the sales? Hold out until we get back and hope that there is still stuff left, not to mention we may have missed the sale week.

Thanks in advance for your input.

If you are driving, you may be able to hit the sales in Florida, so you could bring things home easily. If you are flying, it may be harder. WalMart had a great sale last year and we did buy some things really cheap for DD-we drove last year so it was easy to bring things home.

Disneymomma-

You bring a huge smile to my face:) ! DH hates to shop, he would not ever consider shopping while on vacation. As far as he is concerned... we are driving, checking into our cabin, spending a week at WDW and heading home. I even go to DTD with the kids while he relaxes in the cabin.

It is frustrating. I cannot count how many outlet malls we have passed while on the road. No chance of stopping at all. While he does appreciate my money saving shopping, he is the type that would pay extra for conveniece.

Thanks for the idea:D

Well, I know the supply list so well ahead of time, I usually buy extra, and "save" it for the following year. Some things you can buy, and use. I personally wouldn't buy school supplies on vacation. I also am going away, and will be back 2 days prior to school starting.

I've already bought backpacks (on sale at LL Bean). I bought the backpacks the first week of vacation. I still need to clothes shop, but I have some time. They both need shoes as well.
