~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

Turns out - I've found the professional photographers printing website... I've registered and and I've been messing around with it a little bit this morning... I can get TRIPLE the wallets, Plus the 11x14 matboarded, plus the 5x7s I need for the grandparents (and a couple extra for us) matboarded as well, for $150 total!!!!

That's amazing, I say go for it! Why not save all that money and still get what you want!! Good luck!:thumbsup2

Yes it is! It takes place at EPCOT during different dates and times around the holiday season. They always get a famous guest speaker for each show.

Unfortunately, we are leaving well before Candlelight Processional starts :( I think it starts Nov 26th this year.

I think we need to plan a family trip together and not tell Suzi the details.. I think she would blow a gasket not knowing.. LOL

LOVE YOU SUZI!

Yes, Suzi would most definitely blow a gasket. Could. Not. Deal.

Have fun at the festival this weekend. If you really like Allison's pictures better get those. They mean more to you.
Work has settle down. The wireless printer is still not working, so no cell phone contracts right now.
This week in tax free weekend on school stuff. It should be busy.
The kittens have settled in. We took them to the vet on Wednesday. Jack is almost one pound heavier than Salem. They spend their time chasing each other around. I still put them in their room when I go to work. Who know what they'd do if I left them out by themselves.
Hae a good day.
Liz

Thank you Liz... I didn't end up going to the festival... I'll explain below.

As of right now, I've cancelled the big portrait via email - but I have not heard back from the photographer.

Yay for tax free weekend on school supplies - we dont do that around here.

Awww... Glad they are settling in nicely. :lovestruc

Thanks you too!

I can totally understand that you would rather have a picture that Alli took than a picture that another photographer took. Crossing my fingers that you can cancel that part of your order.

I hope you and V have a great time at your home town festival weekend.

Today I have gotten my suitcase out. So now I'm going to start packing. It's a lot of stuff I want to have with me. Even if I'm going to do laundry while on our road trip I still have to have a lot of stuff with me. On Wednesday I started to get travel sick ( I don't have a clue what you would call it in English but in Norwegian we often say that we get travel sick when we are so excited about going on a trip that we don't know what to do. Symptoms of travel sickness is that you can't stop thinking about the upcoming trip, talking about it to others and some people can't even sleep because they are so exciting about going on the trip) I'm still able to get to sleep, but I cant stop thinking and talking about the trip.

yes, I sent the photographer an email to cancel that portion of our order, but I have not heard back from her yet.

Sadly - we did not end up gonig to the festival... I will explain below.

Yay for beginning packing! I have my suitcases out already and all of my outfit stuff (that I have so far) set aside. I think I have travel sickness all of the time! I love that you have an actual name for it - we need that here! I am so excited for this trip for you! Only a few more weeks! :woohoo:

Tips for your first 5K:
- don't start out too fast. You'll be tempted to go faster than normal because of the excitement, which is fine, just take it back down to normal as you run.
- go ahead a take some walk breaks - no one cares
- plan to run across the finish line. You want to save enough energy to run that last bit - partly because it feels amazing to run across a finish line and partly because everyone will be watching you at that point.

And have lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for all of the tips Sue... I didn't end up doing it. We had to stay home this weekend - I will explain below.

Buuuut... I do have my eyes on a 5k next month that I would like to participate in (and also an 8k in November)... The girls have no interest (well, V does a little - but not Alli) - so I might do a post on FB to see if any of my local friends would like to join me.

I would cancel it all...I am so glad my son did not want all that. He had to be forced to take the senior pictures for the yearbook. I did buy the minimum of those. But I was lucky...he did not want the "casual" pictures nor did he want a class ring. It will be interesting to see what he decides next fall when he graduates from college. Although I don't see him wanting anything then too. I am just hoping he will actually walk at graduation...since they are given a choice in college.

I talked to Allison and she still wants the wallets... So, I kept the wallet portion of the order... but I emailed her to cancel the framed portrait... I have not heard back from her yet - hopefully today or tomorrow. Thankfully - the girls have no interest in a class ring - I still have mine, it's been hanging on my key chain since I could drive... I used to have my name engraved on the inside, but that wore away years ago from all the rubbing on the O ring. ::yes:: I hope, for your sake, that he walks at graduation - such an accomplishment!

That's amazing, I say go for it! Why not save all that money and still get what you want!! Good luck!

Thanks - I've emailed the photographer, and asked her to cancel the portrait portion of our order, I have not heard back from her yet - hopefully today I will know something.

Unfortunately, we are leaving well before Candlelight Processional starts :( I think it starts Nov 26th this year.

Yes, Suzi would most definitely blow a gasket. Could. Not. Deal.

Hahahaha... Poor Swoozie... I am kind of enjoying this "being surprised" thing... I feel like a kid. :woohoo:

Good investigating!

Thanks! ::yes::

********************************************************************************************

I am going to try to make this short...

Thursday night at dinner, Josh said his stomach was bothering him, so he left half his plate of food and went up to bed. He tossed and turned, keeping me awake most of the night. I was kind of surprised when he went in to work on Friday - but he works at a hospital, so I knew he was probably going to go see his Dr at some point.

Around 11am, I got a text, saying he was in for an appt... Not to go home this weekend for the festival, because they were running blood-work, an EKG and CT scan on him... Thinking it was either his appendix or gallbladder. So, I dropped everything and drove up to the hospital... Depending on the outcome of the tests, the Dr. was prepping him for the possibility of emergency surgery.

Victoria was very disappointed that we weren't going to the festival - so was I - but both of us knew that Josh was more important - obviously.

I spent the day with Josh at the hospital... He was in a LOT of pain. And it took a VERY long time for the pain meds to kick in - once they did, he was a little better, but for the most part they weren't touching the pain. We had to wait ALL DAY for the CT scan, because they were trying to fit us into their existing busy schedule - we were the last ones for the day. By then, his Dr. had left - which we were really annoyed with, because he said he was going to stay. We hung close to the hospital anyways, because we were trying to figure out how to get Josh's truck home - or at least somewhere not at the hospital, because it would have been towed if it was there overnight. While we were waiting, his Dr. called - He had looked at the test results and all of the tests were inconclusive... Grrr... So, they sent Josh home (in a LOT of pain) with pain meds and prescription TUMS, essentially.

BFF drove me up to the hospital that night to get the truck - it's still parked at her house.

Josh spent the weekend in a LOT of pain... He slept approx 42 of 48 hours roughly... Getting up to sip water and twice he tried to eat something.

We had planned to take him in to the hospital again this morning - but he woke up this morning feeling "100% better" according to him. I can see it in his face and just his overall "awareness" - he was kind of out of it all weekend.

The Dr. wanted to do further tests on him this week sometime - not sure when he's planning to do that? But for right now - we are not going into the hospital.

I am just so thankful he is feeling better - I was very worried all weekend. I stuck very close to home, and the few times I wasn't here - there was always someone here with him... Aka, the girls.

*****************************************************************************************

So... I spend the wekeend at home. Being lazy. I didn't even go into my sewing room - I really could/should have, but I've been putting in a lot of hours up there recently, and I felt like I deserved a weekend off - which I took and enjoyed.

I spent most of the weekend in my recliner researching running stuff... I had fun doing it.

My good friend Nicole sold me her old Garmin Forerunner - so now I have a GPS watch to help me with my running.

I only ran once this weekend - yesterday morning... It was good run... I think I am going to modify my run route a little bit next time... I think I am going to run further out, so when I am approaching that HUGE hill at the end - rather than trying to run up it - I'll stop my run early and walk up it... It's a short hill - but it's very steep and it really takes everything out of me to climb it at a run. Maybe later in my running I"ll start running up it again - but for right now, I am going to go with walking. ::yes:: Anyways - yesterday's photo...

2015-08-09_11.49.26.jpg

I am really enjoying running and I almost feel like I am borderline obsessed with it - LOL... I really look forward to doing it like you wouldn't believe.

While I was bored this weekend - I was shopping for winter running clothes... I was lucky enough to find a winter running jacket (this one: http://www.amazon.com/Sugoi-Womens-...F8&qid=1439215215&sr=8-3&keywords=sugoi+versa) regular price was $120... I got it for $38 shipped! :woohoo: I am pretty excited about this... Now I need to find some winter running tights and other gear... but I fully plan to run outside this winter - however - I won't be doing it around here... I've been scoping out some running trails that are hopefully kept clear in the winter in town. ::yes::

************************************************************************************************

Disney stuff

Also, while I was bored this weekend - I spent a lot of time chatting with Suzi, Mo and Ariana...

Suzi - the good friend that she is, decided to send me a hint about where we are staying... Now tell me - from this hint - what is your guess???

received_10207235279099409.jpeg

I am getting super excited about this trip... I have my suitcase out and ready... I have all/most of my clothes set aside, so I know what I am bringing.... I do have a couple more things to buy - but they are minor. :woohoo:

We are UNDER 100 days now, so I am very, very excited!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Prayers and pixie dust go out to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

Such a scary weekend, I was thinking about you guys the whole time. I am so glad Josh is feeling better today and I hope the additional tests can figure out what is going on.

Yay for being under 100 days! I know you are getting super excited. I'm glad I'm not the only one who starts laying out stuff for a Disney trip that far in advance. ::yes::

Poor Josh. I hope they find out what is wrong. I'm glad to hear that he is feeling better.

Wow I can't believe you have your suitcase out already and set aside the clothes you are taking with you.

I'm almost done packing now. I'm leaving for the airport very early tomorrow.

I'll try to get on the DIS while I'm away, but I don't know how often I will be able to get on here. See you in September

Hope Josh is feeling better! That had to be scary.

Great hint. I love having a washer dryer during our trip.

When I used to run, I got great cold weather gear at target. Including a great hat that you can stick a pony tail out of. One of my girls stole it from me for soccer but Ii still times wear the warm gear under my clothing during cold soccer games.

Wow! Glad to hear Josh was feeling better today! I hope it was just a random virus of sorts and nothing further for him to do.

I'm with WoodNymph...I could narrow it down to two handfuls of places and ALL would be AWESOME!

Glad you are enjoying running! My sister in law runs (actually does triathlons and wins in her category quite often), and loves it too.

I got it!!!! You are staying in the laundry room!!!!

Glad Josh is feeling better, those kinds of things are scary

Do you really want me to guess - because - I can tell by the picture and narrow it down to about 5 or 6 places. :) And if my guess is right then it will be awesome. :)

She knows it is DVC....only because she had to narrow it down for running map purposes.

I got it!!!! You are staying in the laundry room!!!!

:rotfl2:
Well, at least it would be warm in there....and I wouldn't need a noisemaker!

I'm glad Josh is feeling better. Hope they figure out what the problem is.
I have no idea where you're staying other than a laundry room.
Lazy weekends are nice. I worked Saturday. Sunday my daughter and I went for a hike in the lagoons. It's a local park along the lake Erie shores because of the high lake levels most of the beach and bluffs are gone. Most oof the park is woods with hiking trails and they're still there.
I can't believe that you are packing already.
Have a good day.
Liz

I love clues. ;) If you picked a resort that had places to run then it would eliminate a couple of my guesses. But I do know exactly what the picture means and it will be awesome. :)

Oh my goodness I am soon glad Josh is ok! A washing machine, what? Thats like the best hint ever. Lol the newbie in me has no idea what it means but Im uber excited for you still! You will love your winter running jacket! I buy the UA running tights that are for coldest temperatures they make. I think I got them at Dicks in Minneapolis. They keep me really warm, its normally my face that has the biggest issue running in the winter. I made a promise to run in honor of a friend who can't at the moment, so hopefully thats all the motivation I need to get moving!

Yay!!! I cannot believe we are under 100! Soooo excited!

Hehehe... I am just a little excited! LOL

I cannot believe you are already here!!! Your trip came up really fast! I hope you had a great flight and a good trip so far.

Oh your hint!! Lol

LOL I know...

Hope Josh is feeling better! That had to be scary.

Great hint. I love having a washer dryer during our trip.

He is feeling better now, thank you.

LOL It will be nice - but I am not used to having one, so it should be interesting.

When I used to run, I got great cold weather gear at target. Including a great hat that you can stick a pony tail out of. One of my girls stole it from me for soccer but Ii still times wear the warm gear under my clothing during cold soccer games.

I sure hope they have one of those hats this year... I did order some running tights on line yesterday that had really good cold weather ratings... On deep discount clearance for $19.99. :) I hope they are as good as their reviews.

Do you really want me to guess - because - I can tell by the picture and narrow it down to about 5 or 6 places. And if my guess is right then it will be awesome.

I'd love to hear your guess... I've narrowed it down to about 9 resorts. ::yes:: :thumbsup2

Thank you - I've been worried about him.

Me too - LOL I think I have it down to about 9 resorts... ::yes:: LOL

I do love it - I am really having fun with it. I am at a point in my runs, where if I stay running where I am - I have 3 different directions I can go and ALL of them have a HUGE hill... I've been doing big hills all along - but these are HUGE and steep... A little nervous about that. I guess I'll pick the less of the 3 evils and go from there?

I got it!!!! You are staying in the laundry room!!!!

Glad Josh is feeling better, those kinds of things are scary

Probably! LOL

Thanks - it was scary!

She knows it is DVC....only because she had to narrow it down for running map purposes.

Hahahaha!

all star sports. and all that white noise in the laundry room will help SWOOZIE

It will - for sure!

I'm glad Josh is feeling better. Hope they figure out what the problem is.

Thank you - me too!

Me neither, LOL.

Sounds like a great weekened - what a fun place to hike!

Not really "packing" but setting stuff aside, so I know what I still need to get. ::yes::

Thank you - you too.

I love clues. If you picked a resort that had places to run then it would eliminate a couple of my guesses. But I do know exactly what the picture means and it will be awesome.

I am excited to learn for myself where we are staying... There are only a couple of resorts that don't have dedicated "running trails", but even those resorts have paths - so I think I could make it work. I am only planning to run twice - maybe 3 times while we are there. Knowing me - it will happen once, just so I can say I did it. LOL

Sorry I haven't been by your new PTR... Planningto do that tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Thanks you... I am gald he is OK too.

LOL - I am excited for it too... Not sure I will use it much? But it will be nice to have. ::yes::

A good running friend of mine told me of the UA outlet in Eagan... I think I"ll head up there sometime over the next few weeks to try some on - I did order some yesterday with really good reviews, but not a brand I recognize - so I am a little nervous about them. I am a big freeze baby - so I want to be warm this winter. I know - I need to find something amazing for my face! Not sure what yet - some sort of baclava, or something? LOL What great motivation!!! I hope you are able to get out there for her/him. :thumbsup2

Super quick update today...

Josh is doing much better. He saw his Dr. yesterday and his Dr. is thinking it's an ulcer. Which would make perfect sense... Josh tends to be a little stressed out much of the time, and he doesn't always eat the best selections. He is going to be working with a GI specialist over the next week or so to get an exact diagnosis and treatment plan. I hope this is the kick in the rear he needs to start taking better care of himself. I worry.

I've been busy sewing like crazy... Nothing new or exciting there.

We went to Valleyfair the other night... V didn't want to be in any pictures... But here's Alli and Gus. Can you believe they have been together for almost a year now?

20150810_194304.jpg

I went for a run last night, it was a good one... I really enjoyed it. I am getting to the point that no matter which direction I go - there is a big huge steep hill to tackle... So, I will need to get brave. I tell you one thing though - there's no half a hill here, it's the whole thing or nothing. :thumbsup2 I just need to get brave and start it. ::yes::

2015-08-11_19.54.11.jpg

Today is a Target day.

Oh, my AP voucher came yesterday. :woohoo:

20150811_095459.jpg

And also my new shirt for AK... They had a really cool theme this year at VBS - and the shirts are perfect for AK - so I've been begging the volunteers for their shirts when they are done with them, and I finally got one. ::yes::

Here's the "pile" of outfit stuff I have set aside for our trip... I know it looks a little disorganized... but it's all folded and clean. ::yes::

20150810_111648.jpg

That's about all... Nothing else exciting for you all. :thumbsup2

I hope you all have a fantastic day! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

Well, I was going to guess AKV but there isn't any place to run there. But that would be an awesome resort that Bradey would love.

I will eliminate VWL due to construction, BLT and VGF because they are expensive and impossible to get. I think that the "clue" might eliminate the Poly villas, but not sure. Which leaves BCV or BWV if you want to run. So I think it is one of the three - AKV, BCV, or BWI but I'm leaning toward AKV in spite of the lack of running paths.

Oh, my AP voucher came yesterday. :woohoo:

You can also redeem your AP voucher at the International Gateway at Epcot which would be very convenient if you happen to be staying at BWV or BCV. The line is much shorter at that gate then at the other park gates.

Cute pictures of Gus & Alli.

I hope Josh gets some answsers soon...I know you must be very worried.
