They'd Better Get Ready on the East Coast!! May 2009 **TR started on TR boards!!**

Beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing those!

Hooray for finding the lost pins!

Hey girl! I'm so behind! Okay, here's me catching up!

* Disney on Ice looked like sooooo much fun! The Little Mermaid scenes looked so pretty! Also, I love that you were quoting the WDW monorail on the way there and your brother had to hide! :rotfl2:

* Your mini TR was a lot of fun! What a gorgeous city! I love historical places like that where you can practically taste the history in the air. Your pictures really captured the beauty of the place!

* Eek for you Disney troubles! Thankfully Janet was there to take care of you! I'm glad to hear it all worked out okay! That's the worst feeling when the CMs tell you that they can't find your reservation.

* Your Veras are SOOOOO cute! I love them!

* :woohoo: for getting APs! They are sooooooo awesome! :thumbsup2

* Your ballet pictures are GORGEOUS! You had such lovely lines. :goodvibes While I enjoyed ballet, I was never graceful enough for it. I was better at jazz and tap. That's so cool that you're going to take a ballet class! I thought I might take a tap class at college in the fall. I could dance AND get credit for it! You've definitely inspired me to look into it more.

I can't believe you're just over a month out! You're getting so close! I'm so excited for you! :yay: :cheer2:

those pictures are fabulous! you are so beautiful! thanks for sharing with us. :lovestruc

your pooh journal is so cute! we had a disney store here a loooong time ago and it closed down. le tragic. :confused3

Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL! You look so, so graceful. I think dance is just amazing. Thank you for sharing!!

For pictures of pictures they aren't too bad! Thanks for posting them.

What a great find! I wonder if any of the pins are particularly valuble now?

Oooh that would be so exciting if they were valuable now. I took some pictures I can post later... hopefully there's someone knowledgeable about Disney Pins reading who can tell me if I'll end up making hundreds.

Pretty pictures! I never made it to that level. We were to start point when we were 11 (I think) but I dropped out when I was 9.

I think we have sort of opposite stories in ballet, I didn't end up starting until later because when I was younger I actually took karate lessons! I joined just as some of the girls my age were starting pointe so I had to work super hard to catch up. I always wished I'd started when I was younger.:goodvibes

Lovely pictures, thank you for sharing them with us! :goodvibes

I can't wait to see your "forgotten" pins. :thumbsup2

I've got them all loaded on the computer, just got to upload them to Photobucket. And thank you!!

Beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing those!

Hooray for finding the lost pins!

It was such a nice surprise to find them! I had completely forgotten about them. And thank you, I was a little nervous about posting them because they're not great, but I'm glad you guys enjoyed them.:goodvibes It's nice to be able to include some of "me" in my PTR!

Awwww I missed you while you were gone, I'm glad you're home! I cannot wait to hear all about your trip. It's what will keep me going over the next month!!

You should TOTALLY go for the tap class! That's so neat you could even get a credit for it. Ugh, my university doesn't offer anything like that. We don't have any fine arts majors.:guilty: Taking a tap class for school sounds like so much fun.

I'm glad you like my Veras since they were inspired by YOU!

Oh, thank you so much!:goodvibes That means a lot to me. And oh no, I would miss the Disney Store so much if it closed! We used to have 2 in Toronto but one of them closed a few years ago so I think there's only the one now. It's always pretty busy when I go in though, so I hope they keep it open.

Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL! You look so, so graceful. I think dance is just amazing. Thank you for sharing!!

Thank you! Am I remembering correctly that you are/were a dancer too? Thanks for the compliments.:lovestruc I was so excited to read in your PTR that you're going to DOI. You're going to have a great time.:goodvibes

Okay. I'm going to try and get the pin pictures up ASAP!:yay:

Okay, here is my collection!!

So uh..... anything there worth millions?;) The YOMD pins we won last July getting off Splash Mountain.

And I have to do a happy dance because...

Tomorrow we will be....

ONE MONTH AWAY FROM WDW!!!!!!!!!!
:dance3::cheer2::cool1::banana::yay::woohoo:

I love your dance pictures! I miss ballet so much; my permanently damaged feet are worth it, though. I'm hoping to have a little girl that wants to dance one day!

Yay for the pins!! I've not done pin trading as I'm afraid I'll get way too in to it and want to spend beyond too much money. That'll be an after law school addiction to pick up!

Lovely pics, missy! I have a few pics from when I was in The Nutcracker....not sure where they are though....one year I was in the party scene...and one year I was in the Chinese Tea dance. :)

I'm not a pin expert so I can't comment on the current pin prices but I'm sure it was a trip down memory lane for you when you discovered them.

I love finding old stuff from previous trips.

I know, it was so much fun- especially since I don't have any pictures from that trip. It's nice to have something.:goodvibes

Oh, I hope at least one of my children wants to dance. I'm going to have to work on my stage mom tendencies NOW though, before I have kids!:rotfl2: I still don't think I'm going to get into pin trading, I'm just going to put a few of them on my mini hipsters for "decoration". I'd be too sad to give them up!

I would LOVE to see your Nutcracker pictures if you have them! I never got to do Chinese and I was always sad because the costumes were amazing. And when I think party scene I think curlers.:scared: Yikes! LOL I was never a fan of those.

It really was! That's why I don't think I can trade them, I get overly sentimental about little souvenirs and mementos like that.:rotfl: I specifically remember picking out the Dinosaur pin with my dad, we had just gotten off the ride for the first time and I LOVED it. I think we rode it about 5 times that day. It's still one of my favourite AK rides!:thumbsup2

Just a quick update on some little trip-related things!:surfweb:

First of all, I've decided that we're going to skip the water parks. Because we're staying at the Yacht Club which has Stormalong Bay, I'm thinking we won't really need a whole separate water park experience. Plus my mother hates water slides and most likely wouldn't ride them, so the only things she would really enjoy are the wave pools and lazy rivers. With the extra price of the admissions, I think it works better for this trip to just cut them out. Especially since I doubt we would have spent a long time at them anyway. Plus, this frees up more time for us to do the other parks which is a good thing with the new crowd predictions!

Also, we got our new set of Magical Express tags in the mail and it looks like everything is all worked out. They say All Star Music on them, thank goodness, but they have the reservation number from the Yacht Club. I'm going to call to confirm everything is completely straightened out but it's looking good! It's so much fun to get all the ME tags, makes me feel like the trip is really getting close!

Because we have an extra $80 now (from the water park savings), I'm trying to decide whether I should book an extra little something or whether we should just save the money. We're already doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour and have 4 TS meals booked (we don't really need any more than that...) so I was thinking maybe something at a spa... or a boat rental... or a special souvenir or something. Anyone have any ideas?

Finally, I've been putting together a list of "must sees" for every park. Because the crowd calendar has upped our whole trip to 8s (I don't totally believe it, but I'm getting prepared just in case!), I want to have a concrete list of the things that I HAVE to do or I'll be totally bummed when I get home. I had to try my hardest not to just add every attraction at WDW and call it a "must do". I'm going to talk to my mother tonight and see if there's anything she wants to add to the list but here it is so far:

Magic Kingdom:tink:

*Jungle Cruise
*Pirates of the Caribbean
*Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse (I know this isn't super popular but I love it. Such wonderful views, plus I've never seen it with a wait so it won't take up much time!
*Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
*Splash Mountain
*Haunted Mansion
*Dumbo (I've never ridden this. Really. I HAVE to do it this trip!:scared1:)
*It's a Small World (I have a love/hate relationship with this ride. I hate it and yet... it's not a trip to WDW without it!)
*Mad Tea Party
*Winnie the Pooh
*PhilharMagic
*Carousel of Progress

I also really want to do Fairy Hollow!

Animal Kingdom:simba:

*Festival of the Lion King
*Pangani Trail (I LOVE the AK walking trails!)
*Dinosaur
*Primeval Whirl
*Finding Nemo: The Musical
*Kilimanjaro Safaris
*Expedition Everest
*Maharaja Trek
*It's Tough to Be a Bug

Epcot:figment:

*Mission: Space
*Spaceship Earth
*Test Track
*The Seas (we've ridden Nemo and seen Turtle Talk with Crush, but I want to explore the rest of the pavilion!)
*Soarin'
*Living With the Land (never done this one!)
*Gran Fiesta Tour (another we've never done!)
*O Canada (we would be bad Canadians if we didn't go see this!)

Disney's Hollywood Studios:smickey:

*Beauty and the Beast
*Rock 'N Roller Coaster
*Tower of Terror
*Backlot Tour
*American Idol (I will admit, I really want to see this!)
*The Magic of Disney Animation & The Animation Academy
*One Man's Dream
*Toy Story Mania
*Indiana Jones (another thing we've never done!)

That's all for now! I'm dead tired and am definitely looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow! I've had a sore throat all day and have been taking lots of vitamins hoping it won't turn into a cold or anything. I'm so happy tomorrow is the first day of April, although I'm a little wary of April Fool's Day! I'll be watching my back all day.:rolleyes1

You definitely don't need to go to the water park with SAB. I LOVE that pool! The lazy river at SAB is the best! It's super deep and warm! MMmmmmm! We originally booked the BC because we loved the pool so much last year, but we wanted to try something different this year, so Poly it is!!

I've been putting together a list too! Mine are mostly thinks I've never done before like Storytime with Belle! I'm getting soooo excited. I can't believe you'll be there in a month!!! :woohoo:

I love your pins! They look so cute especially the one with the mice from Cinderella.

I think cutting out the Water Parks is a good idea, especially since you will be able to enjoy Stormalong Bay. :thumbsup2

Your park lists look good. I find having a list with me when I am there is a good way to keep me focused. I usually don't do everything on the list but at least I can remember what I wanted to do while I was planning my trip for months and months! :lmao:

You list looks good-actually quite similar to mine. I'm a little bummed that Space Mountain and the people mover (okay the transit whatever it is called now) will be closed while we are there. Oh well, it just means we'll have to go back.

I think you made the right decision about the water parks. Better to have more time to enjoy stormalong bay in a relaxed manner than visit the water parks. At least this trip. Again, another reason to go back (as if we need an actual reason, but now you have three anyhow).

I've had a minor throat irritation since monday night myself. It hasn't broken out into anything full blown but is just sitting there in my throat taunting me. There is lots of strep going around at my school and I'm hoping to avoid it. Here's hoping we both fight it off!

First of all, I love your pins! How fun to find them! :thumbsup2

Secondly, it looks like you have GREAT plans!! Good idea to make a list of must dos! And it's awesome that you're trying new things too!!! :woohoo:

I don't know if you have Tour Guide Mike or not, but I would TOTALLY recommend buying his services for this trip. I've only had it for a week, and I'm just blown away. He'll tell you what days to go to what parks (or rather, what parks to stay away from each day) and even gives you a sample itinerary for each day in the parks based on what attractions you selected. I've heard from multiple DISers that they've never waited more than 15 minutes for a ride (even in July!) using his tips. So you might look into it.

Lastly, no...I wish I was a dancer, but I wouldn't do it when my mom tried to talk me into it as a little girl, and by the time I wished I'd danced, it was pretty much too late. But I do LOVE partner dancing like Swing, Salsa, Country... So fun!!

Oh, bummer. I'm sad you're not doing a water park. I was going to live vicariously through you. DH isn't a fan of water slides, either. It sounds like you made the right decision. Plus, with Stormalong Bay you'll have plenty of fun anyway.

I can't believe your trip is next month...CRAZY!!!!! I'm so excited for you guys.

Glad to hear how much you liked SAB.:thumbsup2 I'm really looking forward to it, especially the lazy river and slide!

Aww I bet Emily will love Storytime with Belle! I remember there was a TV show similar to that when I was a kid (I think it might have actually had the same name?) and I loved it! I hope you post your list on your PTR!:goodvibes

Exactly! If I didn't make a list, I would probably get home and THEN realize there were a bunch of attractions that slipped my mind. I am horribly unorganized if I don't force myself to be (does that make sense? lol). I even put little check boxes beside each attraction so I can keep track as I go.

Oh, I am so sad about Space Mountain and the TTA! The TTA is actually one of our favourite rides.:guilty: I'm really going to miss both.

And you're right, I will be back at Disney, so leaving the water parks for a later trip will just add to excitement in the future.

I hope your throat is feeling better! Ugh, I hope I don't end up with strep, I would have to take 2 weeks off from the hospital.:headache: My throat is feeling a little better but still kind of scratchy and sore. Lots of vitamin C today!

First of all, I love your pins! How fun to find them! :thumbsup2

Oooh, you do Swing and Salsa? Those look like so much fun to me, I've never tried either! Are they very difficult to pick up?

And actually, I don't have a TGM subscription. I've read so many good things on the boards, but I have a touringplans subscription from last year still (which is probably about to run out). I like the fact that with TGM you can pick which attractions to include though, I didn't know that! You can't do that with Touring Plans. I will look into it, thanks for the tip!

Sorry about the water parks! I guess we'll have to find someone else we can BOTH live vicariously through!

I know! 29 days today!!!:scared1::scared1: My ticker is still set from May 2nd- 9th (and still shows DxDP:rolleyes:) so I wish I could change it to the dates we have set now but I don't want Mickey to have to start all over at the beginning.

And I just noticed your ticker is at 4 months 22 days! It seems like yesterday it was reading 6 months! You are getting closer too.:goodvibes

I am the exact same way! I can be really organized but I have to force myself to be. It doesn't make sense when you say it like that but it does make sense to me! :lmao:

I got the RideMax software. It did ok, but one cannot plan things down to the minute.

If you would like of me to input your rides at a park and come out with a tour plan, just let me know. :goodvibes
