They'd Better Get Ready on the East Coast!! May 2009 **TR started on TR boards!!**

I love "The Office" too. One of these days I'm going to have to watch the BBC version.

Yay for you for starting to pack. I've got to get going on mine too.

love the sunglasses! great find! I am jealous! I cannot do contacts (long story that ill spare you) and I have the cutest :lovestruc pair of sunglasses that i love and adore! Of course I cannot wear them because I cannot see well without my glasses. I have tried doing the Rx sunglasses but then it becomes more of a pain trying to keep up with sunglasses and glasses and changing back and forth is a pain. ok sorry bout my lil pity party for one there. :rotfl:

i also love your macbook in the background there! after my laptop was killed by my cat (literally... my cat knocked it off the desk) i have been dreaming of a macbook. :cloud9:

i cant believe our trips are sooo close! :cool1:

I joined a gym last year and so far, I'm really liking it.

I renewed for this year and got the deal, if I signed up for 3 years, my monthly charge was $20 less! So, that's what I did.

I went crazy there in the months before my March trip. So, going all over the parks was never a problem.

I also signed up for a personal trainer - gotta do something to kick me into gear! - for 4 sessions and I already did 2. That bosu ball thing is hard!

Maybe you can join a local center - like YMCA or a civic center- that has exercize classes vs. joining a gym?

If you have a local University, they also offer recreational activities for a fraction of the price and also free. The one that I work at does. I'm heading out on one of their hikes in a couple of weeks. We did "Robin Hood Forest" a few months back!

Cute sunglasses -- what a great deal!! I'm definitely getting trip envy, I can't believe you're just 3.5 weeks away!!!!!:yay:

Hey girl, we ended up not going to the movie!

Aww, what did you end up doing instead?:goodvibes

Cute sunglasses! And bravo on the plans to work out for the trip. I am working on that too. I was doing really well before I left DC, but then I was packing, and moving, and then I was home, and yadda yadda yadda. I am getting back to it. The weather has been nice, so I've been spending time in the pool which is always a great workout, and my second favorite way to work out, after dancing. Anyway, I will be a fitness cheerleader too! Good luck! :)

I love swimming too! I'm trying to find a nearby pool that has open swimming times. I like workouts that don't feel like workouts. How have you been adjusting to Texas?

You should TOTALLY go dancing at some of the places near you!! We would usually go in a big group (lots of guys and girls) but sometimes I would just go with a few people. My DH and I LOVE to dance! :) The first time we danced together (just a few weeks after we met, a year and a half before we started dating), we were at that salsa restaurant and while we were eating (we were with about 15 friends) he wrote "will you be my dance partner? check yes or no." on a napkin and slid it to me. Then he made his palms wet from putting them on the outside of his glass and said something corney about "being so nervous to ask me". He was such a dork! I just laughed. I SOOO wish I would have saved that napkin. But who knew then that we were gonna get married a few years later?! :confused3

Wow. That was long. Sorry for hijacking.

On a YOU-note, YAY for getting back in shape! :yay: Please keep us updated on how it goes! I'm taking a weight lifting class (I have to have it to graduate) and it talks about how important weight lifting is to tone up and lose weight. You can't get your desired results just doing cardio. This stunk for me bc I love cardio workouts so much more. So if you have a gym membership, you should look into lifting. If not, there's always soup cans! ;) Good luck!

Aww that is such a cute story about your DH!:lovestruc I love little things like that... thanks for sharing! And I think we have a set of free weights somewhere around the house. I took weight training in HS as a physical education elective and hopefully I can remember some of the exercises! What are you majoring in that weight lifting is a requirement? Or is it a university wide thing?

I love "The Office" too. One of these days I'm going to have to watch the BBC version.

Yay for you for starting to pack. I've got to get going on mine too.

I've never seen the BBC version! I have friends who claim to be "Office purists" and they refuse to watch the US version but I love Steve Carrell! And Pam... and Jim... and Dwight... and Phyllis.

Love the glasses, and 25 days is so soon!

Thanks! I know, the trip is getting so close so fast! :scared1:

I love the sunglasses!

Thank you!:goodvibes

Aww I'm sorry about your sunglasses. If it makes you feel any better, I've always wanted to be a glasses wearer! I love glasses and I wish I needed them! Wanna switch?

I got a really good deal on the MacBook so it was really worth it! Because I had university ID I got a free printer, a free iPod touch and $100 off the computer! It was awesome. I'd never used a Mac before but I would highly recommend them now.:thumbsup2

Congrats on the workouts! Wow, I could use a gym buddy with motivation like you. I'm going to look into a local YMCA perhaps, because my university's gym isn't so great. How are you liking your personal training sessions

Cute sunglasses -- what a great deal!! I'm definitely getting trip envy, I can't believe you're just 3.5 weeks away!!!!!:yay:

Ahhh I know! I am getting kind of stressed out though LOL. I almost wish I had more time! I also keep thinking that the closer the trip gets... the closer it is to being over. Maybe I just need to stop being such a pessimist.:rotfl2:

Aww, what did you end up doing instead?:goodvibes

We were going to go the movie. We went to Ruby Tuesday's first and ended up getting done early and the next time for the movie wasn't for another 2 hours!

By the way, how the heck are you getting all those tags?!

I know exactly what you mean! I'm always a bit sad when the trip is so close. I start thinking about the sad feeling of coming home and feeling that post Disney depression. :sad1: BUT...you'll be going back the next month so hopefully that will help! :thumbsup2

Did the tag fairy get you again? So exciting!!

I can't believe you are only 3 weeks away!! That means I am right behind you!!!

Did you schedule your photo shoot yet? Did they give you a hard time about the $25 price? I've been reading on the photo shoot thread that some people are getting CM who are not honoring it.:confused3

Good golly, I've been gone from your trip report for awhile!

I love your Couch to 5K program! Best of luck.:goodvibes

Can you believe we're only 3 weeks away? I'm starting to get nervous, too, and thinking about the end of the trip. You want to know my secret for getting out of it? ... Planning your next trip! :thumbsup2:rotfl:

I just noticed your butterflies tag. It struck me as so funny. My "unofficial" symbol is the butterfly - it stands for hope! I have tons of butterfly pins, earrings, pendants, decals, etc. SP is getting a tattoo on her hip of a butterfly that has my initials built into the design to honor me. Isn't that sweet? :lovestruc Maybe someday you'll change your mind about their character! :lmao:

You did get a new tag! Yay! :cutie: That's too funny btw! Where are you posting these tag worthy items? :confused3 I am jealous! I want to be tag worthy! ;)

I think it's probably a movie I'd rent on DVD instead of seeing in theaters anyways. And I don't know! There were 2 threads I posted on that apparently the tag fairy took a lot from... but I'm not complaining! The recent one was the Silly Fears thread.

You're right, I will have another trip to look forward to! I haven't been doing much planning for it so it has sort of been pushed to the back of my mind. Plus I really hope doing a TR will help with the post Disney depression!:goodvibes

Well, I called Disney and tried to book it but since I wanted to schedule it for May 9 they told me I have to call 30 days in advance of the actual day of the shoot, not the first day of the vacation. I did talk to the CM though and she told me that as long as we had a printed copy of an email with the $25 offer at the bottom, the price would be honoured AND we could book the session at the resort of our choice. I hope everything works out once we get there! We did a photo session in December after the price had been changed officially, but we had no problems at all getting the $25 price. :thumbsup2

Haha I can't really explain my butterfly fear! I have no issue with drawings of butterflies or cartoons... as long as it doesn't look like a "real" butterfly. It's something about their wings maybe? Or their long, skinny legs? Ughh I used to have nightmares about being chased by giant butterflies and them trapping me in closets and flying around in my face with their fuzzy wings. We used to always find dead butterflies with their wings fallen off when we went to our cottage in the summer so maybe that's what freaked me out? I don't know. But I do really like the idea of the butterfly tattoo! It's only REAL butterflies that freak me out.

I've been spending some time on the Community Board (as if I don't waste enough time on the DIS already:rolleyes::rotfl:) and there were a few threads that ended up being heavily read by the tag fairy. I get so excited over them! When I first signed up here I had no concept of tags and I thought people were soooo strange writing odd things under their username. Now I finally get it and I think they are so fun.:rotfl2:

Thanks! It was pretty funny at the time. We have to have 2 kinesiology credits to graduate--no matter what your major is. One is called "Fitness for Living" and we get to choose the other. I chose weight training bc it was the only thing offered online! :rotfl: Yes--weight training online.

It's all going good. I haven't gone this week at all. I seem to have picked up a bad cough, so I didn't want to go to the gym with it.

I have a training session for tonight, so I figure I'll go to that. She does 'big muscle' for training sessions since it is only for 30 minutes.

I did have 2 buddies that I went to an old gym with, but when I 'upgraded' to this gym, they didn't want to come with me. I wanted cardio machines, sauna and classes, but they didn't. Ah well.

How far do you have? Is it almost time???? :dance3:

subbing so I can catch up. Few more weeks to go!!!!!!:cool1:

Hi and :welcome:

I loved your TR so it's great to "see" you again!:goodvibes

Haha, I just posted on that one...and then quoted you on it too!:)

Good luck! I hope you get tagged soon!:wizard::wizard:

Aww I hope you're feeling better soon. And I totally would've been up for any gym with a sauna. Hope your training session went wel!

Okay, I've got a mini update... I feel like I'm lagging behind so much. I'm going to try and get a good, long update with pictures done before the weekend is over.

Right now, I'm just in a fabulous mood. It is an absolutely GORGEOUS day here today. Sunny and warm, no clouds in the sky... wonderful.:flower1::rose::flower2: Spring is finally here!!

Our family has a great Good Friday tradition where about 50 of my closest family members get together at my dad's cousin's house and have a big party. We do egg tosses and water balloon tosses in the park (yes, all of us:laughing:) and chocolate hunts for the kids... it's so much fun! I'm bringing the camera today so hopefully I'll have some pictures to share once we get home. Last year my dad's cousin was traveling (she does broadcasting for figure skating competitions on a Canadian TV station) so there was no get together. That means everyone is doubly excited for this year!

And what I'm most excited for is:

:dance3::dance3::dance3:20 more days until WDW!!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

I am just so excited. I keep on having Disney dreams. Last night I dreamt that Stormalong Bay was moved inside and we were so bummed that it was just a small indoor pool.:rotfl: It'll be time to get packing soon! I think we'll dig out the suitcases this weekend and start doing laundry. Woo hoo!

Right now it's time to get moving because I have to finish getting ready for the Good Friday get together today. But I do promise to have a better update soon!

I hope all of you have a joyful, beautiful holiday weekend.

Hooray for a nice day! :goodvibes Today is seemingly better than yesterday here. We had a tornado last night and I was only a few streets away at Wal-Mart trying to get home! :scared1: From the insane wind and hail I was :scared: so scared! I hope this weekend will be nice...

Your big gathering sounds like so much fun!! :cutie: Please do take lots of pics to share with your DIS friends!
