They'd Better Get Ready on the East Coast!! May 2009 **TR started on TR boards!!**

I love your sad pretzel face!! That is priceless. :rotfl:

I think it's great that you can take advantage of the 4/3 deal and stay at a deluxe. :thumbsup2

Yep, I can be embarrassing to travel with!:lmao:

And I was so thrilled with the 4/3 deal!! It worked out so well for us, getting 7 nights at the YC for only 2200! That's only 1100 each.:cool1:

And wooohooo... I got the room at ASMu BOOKED!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I don't think I'm going to bother requesting a room or anything since it's only for one night but... I'll have to wait and reevaluate once it's so close that I get REALLY obsessive.:rotfl:

You will absolutly love the YC. It is so peaceful and relaxing. We stayed at the BC last May and this time we're excited to stay at the Poly.

I'm going to be heading up a photopass share if you want in. I haven't actually posted on the budget board yet, but I think I'm going to be doing so soon. I can hold a spot for you if you like. So far, it's us & kgle, but I'm sure there are others who would love to join. I'm only going to share with people who are traveling during the first part of May because I don't want to have to wait too long to get my photos! If it's open to the whole month, by the time everyone is home and photos are edited, it's the middle of June before the CD is ready. Does that make sense? Let me know!!

Here is a little prayer for May hours to be released before Feb. 1st!!

Oooh, I would just love that!! You're wonderful for heading one up! I am definitely in.:goodvibes

I love this one!

Ahhh that sight is one of the reasons we fell in love with the YC. I can't wait to see that view in person!!

Great, you're in! I'm hoping to get the photpass share going this weekend, but I'll let you know when I've started the post and all that jazz!!

I wanted to come check out your PTR, and I'm loving it! Glad you were able to find a great deal on airfare -- and that you were able to fix the date snafu. Sounds like you find a great deal for California too. My BFF is obsessed with DL and they always stay at the Grand Californian. Oh, it looks so nice! I hope you guys get to stay there!

Those pics you took at the YC & BC are great.

You know you're obsessed one day off seems like a year.:rotfl:

:lmao: No truer words have been spoken on the DIS! DH does not understand how hard it is for me to go one day without talking about our trip.

Welcome!!!:grouphug: So nice to have you here!! And yay, you got me to my fourth page! WHOO HOO!:cheer2:

I would absolutely looovvveee to stay at the Grand Californian... I am just waiting on pins and needles to find out which hotel the conference is at! I'm hoping to be able to book the California air fare soon as well. I'm trying to convince DDad to stay a few extra days (hmm... do I sense a pattern here?:rotfl: ) but I know I'm lucky already that he's letting me hitch a flight to Cali with him, so I shouldn't push it too much!:lmao:

Oh my gosh, I just realized I haven't introduced the entire family yet!!

I forgot our little pup. Well, he's actually rather old. And large. But still a pup to us.:goodvibes This is Edward (Eddy), our beloved Chow Chow. He's nine years old, and although Chows are known for being a little... aggressive? He is as sweet and docile as they come. On our last trip, because the whole family was gone, we had to board him at a "Puppy Hotel". Well, when it came time for Puppy Play, he was so afraid of the other dogs his size that they put him in with the small dogs! His favourite activites include napping, sleeping and relaxing.:rotfl: Anyway, here are some pictures of our favourite little guy. :lovestruc The ones with the hose are from when he got sprayed by a skunk and we had to give him a bath. Took him forever to dry, poor little guy!!!

So now you really have met the WHOLE family.:cheer2:

Luckily we won't have to find accommodations for him this time, because the whole family isn't going. Phew!! He doesn't really like being away from us.:goodvibes

Well, I'm off now... got to call to cancel our ADR at Cinderella's Royal Table and book our Magical Express times. I love little Disney things like this to do every day that keep me busy! I'm wearing my Splash Mountain T shirt under my sweater today, so I'm even wearing a little bit of Disney!

HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE!!!

Oh, ADRs. What strange and confusing creatures you are.

I'm not even at my 90 day window yet...

But I'm all discombobulated.

I think we might cancel the DxDP. Honestly, I don't think it's worth it for us. Neither of us are huge eaters. Nor do we want to eat at a Signature every night (especially after a not so great experience at Narcoossee's).

It would feel strangely freeing to pay for everything OOP, I think. Just think all the meal sharing we wanted!! :rotfl:

Hmmm....

Eddy is a cutie! I LOVE dogs! We have a black lab named Will or Bill or Mill or Bilbo Baggins or William T. Jefferson! I should add him to my PTR!!

I do love Canada and am a proud Canadian, but I don't know how much longer I stand this climate. Right now I am sitting on my laptop, under my covers in sweatpants, two sweaters and two pairs of socks. University dorms are quite chilly brrrr!

I try to fit a little Disney into every day so I don't go crazy with the wait, so right now I'm listening to my "WDW Playlist" and on this site:

http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/sounds.html

I am guessing you are in eastern Canada since you are flying out of Buffalo. Our very dear friends just moved back to Utah from Burlington.

:worship: That link is awesome!!!!

I just got back from bathing suit shopping and I can't find my camera, so I'm going to have to upload a picture from the website. My suit is almost exactly like this one:

pSPDO1-4752224p275w.jpg

A little boring, but I'll have a T shirt over it and it is supposed to be very durable in the chlorine. Soo... we'll see!! I'm really excited to get started.:goodvibes

Very cute swimsuit. :goodvibes

Eddy is darling as is the rest of your family. I cannot believe you got them to give you a refund! That's worth bragging about! :thumbsup2

WOW you are a fast reader!!:rotfl: And WELCOME!!!

Actually, it wasn't me who got the refund from Priceline... it was my DM. I just sat there and bit my nails down to nothing while she worked her magic on them. I tend to be a little panick-y in those kinds of situations... I probably would have just sat on the phone and hyperventilated.:rotfl:

And yep, we are in Toronto!! The most hated part of Canada.:rotfl2: But I'm not originally from here, so I can say that.:p

(and sweet! A reply to reply to!!:cheer2: :upsidedow )

Where are you originally from? My friends are from Regina, Saskatchewan. My friends calls Regina hell. ;) Tracy, on my thread, lives in Langley. I really do love me Canadians! I have another gf who lives in Williams Lake.

Oh- well I am originally from ON, but from a teeny tiny little farm town. I know Burlington fairly well though, I have some friends there. I don't know if I could handle the prairies... while they are beautiful, they are just too cold for me!! I'm hoping to move out to the west coast some time... soon-ish. Likely once I finish up with school. The mountains and ocean together are just so darn gorgeous.:lovestruc

Hi Megan :wave2:

Followed you from Jenny's pre TR, you're so lucky to be going on 2 trips and staying at the YC no less, the pool there looks fabulous! I love your family photo shoot photos, we had one done at the Poly in August and they came out great! Love the Stitch present one too must get that done in December when we visit :thumbsup2

I agree about the DxDDP it sounds way too much food for me, how about the regular one?

We were actually lucky enough to do the Stitch present one on the first day they did it!! I love the photo shoot sessions, I've seen so many beautiful ones. We almost chose the Poly because that's where we stayed, but ended up at the GF. I would love to do a Poly one in the future though!! I'm thinking of maybe just budgeting and doing the whole trip OOP but the whole idea kind of stresses me out! Oh well, I have lots of time to decide!

I called Disney and cancelled the DxDP:scared1: and we'll think about adding the basic one. We did the basic one on our last two trips and enjoyed it, but because we wouldn't usually order dessert/drinks, I'm not sure if it would actually save us money. We also like to split entrees or have appetizers as entrees... I think I'm going to be spending lots of time with menus and calculators today!

Hi!:wave2: Joining in from Jenny's thread. I'm so jealous right now that you're going to WDW and DL within a month of each other!:p I've only been to DL once back in 2002, but hope to get back there next year.

The YC looks awesome!:thumbsup2 I'd love to stay there sometime and experience SAB. We stayed at the Boardwalk last June and loved walking over to Epcot.

Can't wait to hear all the details unfold! I'm glad you got the airfare taken care of and your rooms booked. We'll miss you by one day! My family will arrive on the evening of the 9th and Jenny is arriving the next day.

We hope to visit Toronto this summer. My husband and I were there January 1998. He had gotten me tickets to see "The Phantom of the Opera" at Pantages theater, which is now closed I believe. We also went to the ROM. We want to take the kids to see the ROM. And of course, Niagara Falls on the way there. My in-laws live in Western PA so it's only about a 5 hr. drive from their house. Let me know if there are any must-do's.

Looking forward to reading more!:flower3:

Hi Jenna!

Aww, yeah, our flight back home is at 4:30 on the 9th. I guess we'll be passing the DIS torch on to you.;)

Oh Toronto, exciting!!! I would love to help you figure out some fun things to do. I love my city, and there is a TON do do. Especially in the summer, it is just gorgeous! You can take the ferry over to the Toronto Island and visit Centerville (a mini amusement park with lots of stuff for kids, parks, pony rides, etc), the St Lawrence and Kensington markets have great shops and foods, there's the whole Harbourfront area which is just gorgeous... the Beaches with a beautiful long beach and view of the CN tower, tons of sports games at the Rogers Center (formerly the SkyDome), the Art Gallery of Ontario that just got totally redone and is spectacular... oh my gosh, I could go on and on!:rotfl:

Over the summer my brother is a tour guide, so although I don't know as much as him, I do know some fun things to do!! Let me know anything you'd like help or advice with!! I'd be thrilled to help.:goodvibes

Wow! Great! Thanks for the advice! I'd love to see Toronto in the summer. Like I said it was January when I was there and cold! Plus on our drive back home, there was about 2 ft. of lake effect snow in Buffalo. I'm sure I'll have some questions as it draws closer. First, I gotta concentrate on the Disney trip.;)

So I won't derail your thread any further.:p

pixiedust: that those May hours will be posted soon! We are waiting too!

Oh yeah, Toronto in the summer is wayyyyyy different than Toronto in the winter. Lots more to do. And absolutely, let me know when you're getting closer and want more info!!

I had a great evening today. I saw Hairspray and it was AMAZING! I saw the Broadway version back in 2004, but I enjoyed this one just as much! I grew up in ballet, so I just love live theater. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures because I forgot my camera at a friend's apartment last weekend...

We ended getting the tickets just today, so they were single seats... but in the third row!! And then we added some class by stopping at a Taco Bell on the way home. I haven't had Taco Bell in years and years and I must admit, it was so delicious!! I wish I hadn't discovered that.:rotfl2:

So now I'm home and watching SNL. I should go to bed since I have to be at church early tomorrow but... I can't stop watching even though it's a rerun I've seen already!!

And FINALLY, a little bit of Disney news:

I was chatting with my dad today and we've decided to add a few days to our Cali trip! Probably four-ish, but I'm so excited! We're hoping to spend a few days at the beach, extra time at Disneyland and some time driving up to SF. I'm getting more and more excited for the June trip. Originally I had kind of put it in the back of my mind, but now I realize I have to get planning for it too! I should quit my other jobs and school and just do this full time.:rotfl:

Just because I prefer reading TRs with pictures, I'm going to add a few pictures from our MVMCP this year. They don't exactly fit, but they're so pretty!:goodvibes
