When I got to my OKW studio, my room key card would not work! I jiggled the door handle and made several unsuccessful attempts pushing my KTTW card in and out of the slot. I was so frustrated.
At this point I was just about to call the front desk from my cell phone, when I noticed the suddenly unfamiliar room number -- I was at the wrong door!! OMG, my studio was the next one over!

I shouted a "I'm sorry, wrong room" and quickly made my way inside studio #3120.
I prayed I didn't scare the people in the other room.
As I leaned against the door, recovering from my unintentional attempt to illegally enter some other guests' room, I was greatly surprised by this:
Wow! The OKW staff sent over a Lilo and Stitch card and balloons to greet Sam a Happy 5th Birthday!!! I was soooo excited! I arranged the swords and Stitch laser gun around the the card/balloons.
Here's a closer look:
I loved that the staff took time out to do this for Sam. I love how Disney goes out of its way to make things a little more magical for everyone.
I get a phone call from DH saying they are already on DME, and headed to SSR first before OKW. I hear the DME video playing in the background, as well as the excited chatter of the boys! DH says he decided not to have DME deal with their bags, and instead he and the boys picked up the luggage from the carousel and brought it on the bus with them.
I watch a little Stacy on the TV as I await their arrival.
Then I hear loud running footsteps outside the door, and I open it to find Jake and Sam broadly smiling at me. They ran inside the room, and found the surprise waiting on their bed:
DH walks up with the bellman, carrying two suitcases. The boys walk around the room, exploring the huge interior of the OKW studio. I ask them to change into pj's and get to bed as it was nearing 1:45 A.M.

We had an early morning scheduled tomorrow, and I didn't want to deal with tired grumpy kiddos. They were so happy and excited to finally be here, and it was difficult to get them settled in bed, but about 30 minutes later we all fell asleep.
A few hours later, I wake up and start packing up. This day we are moving to another resort/hotel as this was the Rehab conference's first day. Originally, I had a room at the Omni Orlando, but switched over at the last minute to:
The POP!!!
I wake the boys 45 mins. later, and feed them granola bars, juice, and muffins for breakfast. DH was still very tired and wanted to sleep-in, so we decided that DH would stay behind and be in charge of the final packing-up and bag transfer to the POP. Meanwhile, the boys and I would go to the Grand Floridian so the boys could get on the Pirate Adventure Cruise!
I get the boys dressed. Here they are at the patio of our studio:
Oops, the camera fogs up again. I wipe the lens, and take another photo:
Jake, Sam and I then walk to the OKW bus stop and get on a bus to the MK.
Here are the boys in front of the train station:
Our plan is to hop on the monorail to the Grand Floridian.
The GF in the background:
The boys are thrilled about riding the monorail again, and are smiling from ear to ear while pointing out to the sights all around us. Most of all, everyone was looking forward to the Pirate Cruise! However, I was getting somewhat worried about the time --the boys were supposed to be at the GF boat dock at 9:15, and at that point, we barely had 8 minutes to spare!
All of a sudden, the driver of our monorail announces he was ordered to park the vehicle for a few minutes at the CR because of a back-up of monorails ahead of us.
Will the boys make it to the ship on time???
Stay tuned for the answer!
