I'm sitting here about to have heart failure!!! Our October cruise has been paid in full since MARCH and I just called DCL to get an address to prepay shipboard credit and they told me my reservation had been CANCELLED!!! They said it was part of a group booking and I needed to call my travel agent with ALL SEASONS TRAVEL immediately. I did that and couldn't get a straight answer and someone is suppose to call me back "this morning". We had stateroom 6120 already assigned and they have probably given that room to someone else!!! PLEASE someone give me some reassurance!!! I feel like I'm about to hyperventilate or something (which I've never done before!).:(

What do you mean by a group booking? I also have a cruise date in October that I booked through All Seasons and I received the group rate. Maybe something different. I haven't received my conformation from them yet as they are back logged because they have been booking so many cabins lately. I was getting nervous because I know Disney hadn't received any money by the cut off date but my agent said that we were locked in. I usually book myself but they gave me such a good deal that I decided to let go and let them do it. I just booked this month though. I'm sure they will work something out so you can still go even if they have to give you a suite. I've only heard good things about All Seasons. What date in October are you cruising? Good Luck!!

We're on the Oct. 12th sailing. It's just my family of 4. My husband is a disabled veteran and our room was right across from the elevators making it much easier on him. All Seasons Travel said they purchase large numbers of rooms as a Group booking.......I guess to get the lower rate. We've been paid in full since March and have a $50 shipboard credit (but no big deal!) for booking with our new Disney Visa. I'm just sitting here with my palms sweating waiting on the phone to ring. We had to rebook this cruise because our kids school year was extended due to snow days. If this falls through again they will be sooo devastated! So will I! I cannot believe this is happening!!!:(

WOW, that is strange. The Oct. 12th sailing itself is definitely NOT cancelled. Hope you get it straightened out and good luck!

We are on the Oct. 12th cruise too...

When you say your cruise was cancelled, I assume you mean your booking, and not the voyage itself??

You're scaring me! :o

Okay. Now you're making me nervous. I wonder if they over book like the airlines do sometimes. I don't want to bug the agency but I like to see things in writing as soon as I book. I haven't gotten my e-ticket from the airlines either as they are backed up from bookings but I am confirmed for sure. If I call DCL directly they can't tell me anything because I have to go through my travel agent. Let's say a prayer for the both of our families. My brother is traveling from Japan with his wife, my two nieces from Georgia, my mother from North Carolina, my sister from Mississippi and my daughter and myself from California so it's a big deal. If the ship is not full they can probably move people around to accom. your husband.

I just meant OUR booking. I posted that right after I called AST and just wasn't thinking straight.

This sounds awful. I hope you get it worked out. I wouldn't wait for them to call you back. I'd keep bothering them until someone will talk to you. They have what's likely several thousand dollars of your money, and you deserve an explanation. Are they saying you don't have a room on the ship at all, or that you don't have that particular room?

Please let us know how All Seas handles this. I hadn't heard too much about them, and as a result booked our latest cruise with Dreams Unlimited. I hope they do right by you.

All okay now...I couldn't stand it any longer and I called them back and spoke with Dana who tried to explain to me about the large volume of business they do with DCL and why I had been pulled into their "Group" category and thus my confirmation # changed. I told her that it was very unpleasant to find out about it this way instead of from them first. Naturally she apologized and we still have our same stateroom and shipboard credit. All is okay except for my nerves.....Does anyone have a REALLY STRONG Bahama Mama or something to share?!?!? ;)

YEAH! It makes me feel better too about my rese with AST. I knew they were good folk. Enjoy your cruise. I can't wait for mine. First Time Cruiser!

Thanks Elaine....sounds like your family really has a special trip planned. I hope you and yours have a WONDERful time too. I've heard so many good things about AST but this is the second time during this booking that I've had a problem:confused: Hopefully that is all behind us now and it will be smooth sailing from here on out!;)

Funny how it just all kind of "falls into place" isn't it?

Happy Cruising:)

oh my God you scared me!
I dont want anyone to ever go through what the 11/30 cruisers went through
Been there and its not fun

I have really given alot of thought to how I wrote my original post and I can see how people could start to freak out (Like I did!) and I just wanted to apologize. I was SOOOO upset when I wrote it and I just wasn't thinking straight. I'm sorry if I offended or pissed anybody off. I was just looking for a little support............Maybe someone learned something from this, like better communication.........I know I did.

So glad that you still have your room and ressie :). Had I been you I would have chewed off all of my nails from the stress. I don't think anyone would be upset with you, you were stressed when you posted. You might be able to edit the title of your post to say your booking instead of cruise, that would make it clearer. Best wishes for your cruise.

Hey Strawberry, thanks! I can't believe that I didn't think of that...but then again I'm not a natural redhead.:p Thanks for posting.;)
