They Don't Make It Easy

same here been trying for the last 4 hours - upwards of 700 attempts and just a busy tone :(

I've been trying all day every couple of minutes, still busy. At least now I know to take a break until i get home from work since the hold time would be longer then I'm still here. ( Family business, so I can't get in trouble calling from work)

I am on hold but they don't tell you expected wait time. They just said "longer than 30 minutes" which could mean anything..I could still be here days from now.

I called yesterday right at 8. CM picked up at 10:28. Get used to the speakerphone playing the Disney songs. At least it isn't muzak.

Yep, I think I will be singing these songs in my head for a few weeks...

This is just silly! If they want to offer pre sale they need to have the staff and phone system to cope. It’s hardly the magical customer service that Disney prides itself on! Excuse the frustration but I have also now made well over 750 call to hear the busy tone.

Your frustration is shared! I've racked up more than 2500 attempts in the last 5 1/2 hours and still no closer than I was at the start!

Still on hold listening to Disney songs - a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, the medicine go down [just kill me now...please]

I am so disheartened - its been 6 hours almost of the busy tone. How is this a perk?? Our last cruise was 4 years ago and I have been waiting to rebook for the best part of a year. looks like its online booking for me tomorrow

You dialed 450 times every hour for five and a half hours?

So got through finally. It was 4 hours to get a connection and get in the queue and about 2 hours 20 minutes in the queue. Good luck to those still trying.

when I have tried to get in on the Platinum opening day ressies, I have had 2 cell phones and a land line and i cycle through each until i get a "hit", and then that phone gets the charger attached to it so the battery doesn't die while waiting for another 2 hours for a 5 minute conversation to book the cruise i want.

I think that I am different that a lot of people, i figure out what cruise or 2 that i want, and the category of room and then "book'um Dano". On, make my request, give them the Credit Card number and hang up. Then I think about the price afterwards - and sometimes cancel because of the price. It seems to me there are a number of people that want pricing for 10 different rooms on 6 different sailings and are on the phone for way too long!

This whole thread is the reason why Disney does their business model. The feeding frenzy by those willing to devote that kind of time and energy allows them to release dates later than any other cruiseline and charge the prices they do. From a marketing standpoint it’s pure genius.

I am usually a control-freak about planning vacations, but this is one area where I am more than happy to let my TA take care of things for me.

I sent her a short email on Saturday telling her what I want, and I received an email back yesterday afternoon (I’m Gold) with reservations made.

My time investment was approximately six minutes to draft and send her the e-mail.
