They CANCELLED "Invasion" !!?? .....

I was just getting into Invasion and then ABC started shuffling things around so much I lost track. I was hoping I could catch up over the summer if it came out on DVD.
I hate the way ABC keeps messing with their schedule.

My DH is sick about this too as this was one of a few shows that he really liked.

My DH and I were upset about this also. I hate that the networks let you become vested in a show, yet they don't really let a new show stay on long enough to develop a large audience. They are too quick to pull the plug if it's not an instant hit. Meanwhile, the season (and probably series) finale was great and now we may never know what happens. That stinks!

Shoot. When I didn't see it on their fall schedule I was hoping it would at least be coming in as a mid year show. I hate when they cancel shows without finishing the storyline.

Another one that stinks is that they are not bringing Everwood to the new CW network but are going to do another year of 7th Heaven. And all because of how many people watched the last episode. That show is WAY past time to go, kill it already.

What?????? I didn't know they cancelled Commander in Chief?!?! I loved that show. DH will be upset about Invasion. I couldn't get into it, but it was one of his favorites.

CW is the new station combined by UPN and the WB. I am curious to see what happens to the WB shows after the merger.

One thing ABC doesn't know is it is not HBO!! It can not keep their shows off for months at a time (like HBO does with Sopranos)and bring it back thinking everyone will continue watching it!!! People forget about it, start watching something else in its time slot, or frankly can't remember that it's back on (what I did with Amazing Race this year--they moved it so much) ABC messed up with Commander in Chief and Invasion-both of which had strong ratings at first. What must the CEO of ABC be thinking? Hopefully he/she fired someone and they won't do that again!!

Someday the networks will learn to run these shows with continuing story lines without interruption. The took Invasion off for a month to show The Evidence, which was a poor substitute for Invasion.

I'm so tired of everything being set up for sweeps periods with no thought given to a programs' continuity.

Shaun Cassidy has produced two really interesting programs now that are cancelled after one season: first American Gothic and now Invasion. I wish he could find a network that would cater to his particular storytelling. What a loss - we'll probably be stuck with yet more reality programming.

Kind of, but not really OT, can someone tell me that happened in the last 16 minutes of Invasion? My TIVO locked up, and the ABC website doesn't really tell.
