What is the best icecream you can get with the snack credit??????? Please describe popcorn::

It's got to be the ice cream cookie sandwich. We don't get them here in the uk.

They are huge and the soft cookie goes perfectly with the vanilla icecream. I'll be buying a few in September. :lmao:

Yeah, the ice cream sandwich is great. But there is one better - the Dole Whip at Aloho Isle or Captain Cook's at the Poly. Love the pineapple/ vanilla swirl. If I'm not there, I get the ice cream sandwich.

I like the dole whip floats .... mmmm!

You can also get really nice choco vanilla swirls at the Andapur Bus in AK.

Last year they were not giving out the ice cream cookie sandwiches as snacks anymore.

There is a snack thread that tells what is included and what is not. I believe it is at the top of the Free Dining thread. I go through it each year and make a print out, excluding things I do not care for or places I am not going to go and making it two or three columns wide to save space. It is a great resource.

It would be awful to get a snack one place and then find out they had something you liked even more just a few steps away.:lmao:

Slightly Goofy

Mrs. Potts' Cupboard: hot fudge. strawberry, or caramel sundaes, or brownie sundae, or strawberry shortcake sundae.

It's only the prepackaged Toll House cookie ice cream sandwiches that are gone (everywhere) You can't get them for cash either, they no longer carry them in the parks or resorts.

However, you can still get the made-to-order ice cream cookie sandwiches for a snack credit at Main Street Bakery and Sleepy Hollow in the Magic Kingdom. Cash price is $3.49, or use one snack credit on the dining plan. Saw people getting them for a snack credit on the 3rd weekend in May this year.

Here's the thread about confirmed snacks (it's a sticky at the top of this Disney Dining Plan forum

Coming back to POP after a long day at the parks and getting the Hot Fudge sundae with, peanuts, whipped cream topping and a cherry

Not sure about the tollhouse, but I just used snack credits for the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich at Kidani pool last week. It was really good. (Not as good as Dole Whip, but had to get over to Poly, which we only did once.)

OHHH NOOO! I loved those ice cream cookie sandwiches that were sold by the vendors!

I know, right! They were soooo good on a hot day, and they had them all over the place. Probably not enough of a mark-up on them for the profit sheets. It's nice you can still get the hand-made ones, but those are just at a few places, not all over all the parks :sad2:

Hmmmm I really thought there would be more replies to this.....Guess there is basically just the run of the mill cones and sundaes

Did you try looking through the confirmed snack thread...lots of ideas on there. And you can also see all the places in each park which carry ice cream, what kind (soft serve, hand scooped, etc.) as well as toppings/sundaes/floats availability. Worth looking at the first page. It's a long thread, but the first post gets continuously updated so you don't have to read the whole thread.

I personally don't care for the ice cream cookie sandwich at Main St bakery. I've gotten them twice & both times the cookies were rock hard.

I totally agree. The cookies were way too crunchy for my taste.

Our dessert at 'Ohana...we were a big group so they put a huge bowl of bananas foster bread pudding with vanilla ice cream in the middle of the table and OOOH THAT SAUCE!

It was the best thing featuring ice cream I think I've ever had at WDW!!!

It's not a snack..but it's good!!!

I love the double scoop hand dipped butter pecan waffle cone at POR. Last summer there was an awesome young CM named Chris that made the biggest cones I've ever seen in my life. My DDs & I got ice cream from him for the first 5 days of our trip. On day 6, Chris was sweeping the floors in the dining area. We joked that perhaps his cones were a little too big, cutting into Disney's profits, causing poor Chris to lose his ice cream dipping duties. :rotfl:

DDs also love the hand-dipped shakes!

There are lots of great ice cream treats that are not on the DDP! They do not qualify as snack credits--garbage pail at Typhoon Lagoon, No Way Jose at Beaches and Cream or most any sundae there for that matter.
