Hey guys-
I'm having to take Belle to the Dr-
she spiked a fever- and has sore throat, cough, sneezing, runny nose, chills, headache, stomache ache and body aches.

I'm worried it's the swine flu. She has all the symptoms.

I'll be back later with a report of what the dr says.


Lake- how did Malik do yesterday-- any news??

I hope Belle doesn't have swine flu. Did you hear Camp Ozark was shut down this year due to swine flu? I heard one rumor that a bunch of kids at the camp had it and then another rumor that camp was closed due to swine flu.

I was just glad that
A - my kids went to Brookhill
B - that they went before the Camp Ozark swine flu break out
C - that my kids went early in the year period

I always think that the camps are not as germy if you go the first or second week.

Anywho, I hope Belle is ok.

Afternoon MAYers!

Went to WalMart this morning and then stopped to visit with some of our old neighbors. Picked up some lunch and came home to do more laundry.

Oh no JO! I hope it's not the swine flu. Let us know what you find out. I hope it's nothing serious. I know everything I have watched has said that they expect the swine flu outbreak to be terrible this fall once school starts. That's scary!

Thanks y'all! Her appt is at 1:15- so I'll know more then.

I gave her Advil and it seems to be helping her to feel better- but dang the cough and sniffles.


NC- I'd heard that about camp.

I just looked and there have been 12 confirmed cases in our county-- but the CDC Dr said it is everywhere in our state.

yuck.

Okay- I'm back. Good news--- just a virus! Whew! The Advil I gave her is taking the fever and aches away- as I was getting my keys to get in the car to go, I looked and she was standing at the pantry door, holding onto the handle and doing this little jig of a dance, where she shimmies all the way down to the floor and back up again..

I was like-- "What the crap, Belle?"
ANyway- I knew right then that it wasn't the flu- b/c no matter how much Motrin you take with that- you still feel like heck. ANd she was just a jiggin'.



BUT--- the Dr said they had dx'ed a little boy that morning with it-- and four patients last week. She said that when school starts it's gonna be all over the place.


So- that's all that's going on here.

Shelly- I'm not RF- but i'll try to work on some of my DL TR for you. Will that help?

Hi guys. It's been a busy day at work so far.

I just found out today that more than likely I will be going to Cleveland for a week for work during the G20 Summit. They are shutting down almost all access to the city and there are supposed to be crazy riots.

It's scary. I know this is supposed to bring 'positive attention' to Pittsburgh - but so far it's just been a headache.

I volunteered to go - since I don't have kids or anything. And it may be fun to get 'away' on the company's dime.

Jo - I hope Belle is OK soon! Did you find anything out?

Shelly - I keep saying I am going to do it. I just need to find where I put all my notes from the trip. I'll look tomorrow. I can't do it tonight - It's the first

Let's seeeeeee...

Oh yes- we had left DL and walked over to CA Adventure.

When we got there- it seemed more crowded than DL. It was about 11 am by the time we got there- maybe a bit later than that. I really needed some water- my jet lag was gaining momentum--- and I just knew I was gonna crash pretty soon.

Ha ha- Award Wieners!!

We got water and after getting our bearings- we sat right on the main road there and people watched.

They put on this little show- that had characters in it- MM and others- Woody, Maybe? Can't remember. Went into this art shop looking for the picture of the Black Pearl I loved. Didn't have it, couldn't rember the name of it-- Darn! Great shop, though.

After a bit of time, we got up and walked a bit more- there's Muppet Vision- but passed on it 'cause we don't like the one in DHS! Shhhhhh!

Decided we had to go on Monsters Inc ride. Cute area.

While standing in line for the ride--

Cute ride- the kids would've really liked it. At the end-- there is Roz that talks to everyone-- saying funny things to them. She told me I had really big ears.

When we left there- it was truly melt down time. I needed to eat---fast. Mark wasn't much better.

We walked past the Hyperion Theater-- Aladdin was showing that day, later on. It would have to wait.
Big mistake. *sigh*

And on past TOT-

Couldn't decide where to go-- sort of spiraling out of control was my Hypoglycemia.

Don't even know what most of these pics were, LOL--

This is a bakery-- over at the Pacific Warf area-

We went into the Pacific Warf cafe- but nothing sounded good.
(Can you see how bad this was getting?)

Ended up at Cocina Cucamonga Grill, where we both ordered the Fajita tacos.
They were just okay. Not good enough to go back to, IMO.

At this point I realize that I am out of control exhausted and can't enjoy anything. So reluctantly I tell Mark that we have to go back to the hotel so I can get some sleep before the evening.

It was about 2:30 before we got back in the room and I crawled into bed. Mark however, being the workaholic that he is, decided to go do store checks in the vicinity. I waved bye to him and conked out within 2 minutes... only to be awakened by very loud stomping, screaming children and doors slamming.

Oh no. Bad thing, being right above the pool area.

After about 2 hours of just lying there, snoozing on and off- Mark returns and we get ready for our evening at DL.

Up next DL at night, POTC, Blue Bayou and Fireworks!
Or.............maybe not.

Hey all....

I know i've been MIA for a while. Last time I checked in I mentioned that me and my DH were going through some problems. We are going to try counseling and spending more time together. Let's see if that works. Lately we had just been fighting a lot lately about the smallest things. He finally broke down and told me it's because he was jealous that he had to go to work and I stood home with Marissa all day. I told him it's not as easy as you think. But that is one of the reasons that he said he always argued and was never home. Please wish me luck MAYers. We both still love each other very much but sometimes love isn't enough. We have a lot that we must work out and i think going to therapy is one step forward. We are also going to have 1 night out of the week that we sit and talk if there are any issues we need feel should be bought up. It's hard but i know having you guys to talk to helps out. And another thing remember that my DStepson had his GF pregnant well the baby was born on July 31st he's the cutest thing but i do not see a resemblence there of my DSS but he is totaly in love with the kid. And he unfortunetly signed the birth certificate and everything so even if it is not his child he is stuck until he can afford to hire a lawyer to get his name off. So that is another reason my DH has been stressing out so much. We'll see what happens. I will check in more regularly now....

On a funny note....

One of my cousins kept calling me for like 4 days like 10 times a day and i just wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone so i ignored her calls and come to find out she needs me to help her plan a WDW vacation for Feb... It's so funny everyone in my family told her to call me since i'm Mrs. Walt...

Jo - I'm glad that it isn't looking like Swine Flu for belle.... My sister got swine flu from work. It's crazy all they did was give her some medicine and sent her home. They told her not to go outside the house.... So needless to say i didn't see her for about 2 weeks.
