Holy cannoli! You drive 7 hours to your cottage??? :scared1:

yes mam... we are the farthest from it. It's a family cottage.
My sister is 1 1/2 hours..my parents 3..and we are 7. But that's because I moved to the windsor area.

I guess my brother is farthest ..he lives out in Alberta and flies in for a week every summer.

Good morning! :goodvibes

WOW- you guys were chatty last night! :goodvibes Apparantly, I am looking fab in a KY Derby hat! It doesn't look like this one does it ??? - - - > princess:

I can't wait to get home so I can see the pics!

Still praying for little Malik. :guilty: You'll keep us updated right Lake? I hope everything goes well with his surgery. :grouphug:

So, I bought another gallon of paint last night. I am getting my hair done at 3:30 and we will be painting the dining room after work tonight!

Morning MAYers!

Still praying for Malik Lake. Hope all goes well today.

Nothing much going on here today. Gave the boys haircuts this morning. That's about it. Another soccer try-out tonight.

We have actually just had the 3 warmest days of the entire summer.
July skipped over us in the heat department...and august seems to be bringing storms and humidity rather than heat.

That sounds a lot like our summer. Very cool June and July. I didn't mind though. I'd rather have 70's than 90's! But we're paying for it now with the heat, humidity, and thunderstorms. :scared1:

I just saw that one of the 1st headlines on the Dis is that they are going to start releasing park hours 180 days in advance and that they're going back to ADR's 180 days out!!!!!!!

 :worship: :yay: :woohoo: :yay:  :worship: :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :worship:

That's great news!! :cool1::woohoo::banana::yay: When is it supposed to happen? Last I heard it was October.

Too bad about this trip. I just tried to change my LeCellier day last night and no such luck. Only 90 days from the day I wanted too. :sad2: Oh well, guess I'll just stick with what I have and be happy!

Excellent news!

Off to get a haircut for Chloe!

Yep. That's when I heard.... I *think* Oct 27th is what it said.

I really missed the 180 days this last trip. :guilty: I know that it doesn't seem fair to people who aren't as....um...... let's say enthusiastic... (It's not the same as obsessed...I swear) about Disney as we all are. :rolleyes1

I do sometimes feel bad that some people who are just planning their first trips are at such a disadvantage, but at the same time - I want my ADR's!

2 of my supervisors at work are going to WDW in October. They both came to me for planning advice. :rolleyes1 One of them followed my advice, booked all her ADR's 90 days out at 7 am... joined TGM to get some touring advice.... and the other insists that she can walk into the places that they want to eat and didn't make any ADR's.

Hmmm, I wonder who's going to have an awesome trip - and who's kids are going to be miserable and hungry and tired all week.....

:confused3

Well that will be wonderful for when I plan my MAY trip next year.:goodvibes

Speaking of which...
I need to rejoin TGM.

I know, at least 3-4 times every trip we see people walking up to the podium telling them how many are in their party and expecting to get in right away, only to be told that there is nothing open ALL NIGHT. And I always shake my head and say - why didn't they plan better? :sad2: And DH always says - maybe they aren't as "organized" as you. I know he really means obsessed! :rotfl:

Jo

Are you still going in MAY? For some reason I was thinking you had dropped that plan. :confused3 I don't know, we all share so many Disney plans & ideas that I get confused! :rotfl:

I am thinking that we should plan for a MAYer reunion at Disney next November! :snooty: Isn't that when you are going anyway RF? And it will be a year from my trip, so we will be ready! (If we like November :wizard:) And it's one of JO's favorite times to go. Maybe Trixie's DH will be ready to head back by then. Anyone with me here???

Oh heck I don't know-

I am planning in the back of my brain to plan the trip for May- our friends from SC are going then still----- and if the last three years have given me any indication as to how Marks brain works-- I KNOW that come April he is going to be completely brain dead and need a trip in May.

And then he'll say plan it- we leave in two weeks and once again I'll be scrambling. He's just that way- I can't get it out of him. Soooooo not a planner. He's a last minute-er.

So I'm seriously thinking that I will go on and book it when a groovy deal comes out. ANd then he can't sneak attack me with his idea.

Our only problem, if you'd call it that, is that winner's circle next year is once again- they think--- in Hawaii. And if that's the case- we'll once again (if he qualifies-) extend the trip b/c I can't go out there for only three or four days. It's too quick.

There haven't been any announcements yet-- just some rumors. There were 4 places on the ballot and they all had to vote. No one that went to Hawaii this year voted for it for next year--- there were two places in Canada, Lake- one was Banff, the other, I can't remember the name of it, but it was where the Bachlorette was filmed partly. ANd then Hawaii was on the ballot as well as Palm Beach Florida. We all voted FL--- we wanted to take the kids with us.

IDK about a Nov MAYer meet next year---- it would have to center around a home FL game.:cutie:
And then-- we'd have to see.
But it is soemthing to think about for sure.:santa: We could all do MVMCP together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:santa::santa:

Jo

Sorry guys! I don't think that we will be there that late in the month next year. :guilty:

I thought that we would be, but I talked to my aunt this weekend and I think that she wants to hit the end Wine & Food at the beginning of Nov instead of the the end of Nov and the Christmas decorations.

I was really really hoping to see the Osborne lights. :sad1:

But, it's her birthday! :wizard: I am just really excited to go with my family again. It's been just Bob and myself for the last 2 trips and it's always fun, but I haven't been to WDW with them for so long that it will be super fun no matter when we go.

Plus Bob loves them, so I know he's really excited about it! :goodvibes They are total Disney people too. I think they're who I got my.... enthusiasm... from.

I'll let you guys know the exact dates, but MVMCP is probably not going to happen for us. :guilty:

How early do you think you'll go RF? This year the MVMCP and Osborne lights start on November 10th.

I'll be sure to give you a crowd report for that week! :goodvibes Hopefully there's not much to report!

Well poop.

But hey- FOod and WIne fest is AWESOME. It's one of my fave things. I loved both times we went.
Just be careful you don't go when it's Jersey Week. It. Is. CROWDED.

Squish!

Jo

Looks like this year the F&WF ends on Nov 8th and the MVMCP starts on the 10th. So maybe you could time it to hit both! :goodvibes Not sure how you would do that though and miss Jersey Week. . . :confused3

New Jersey's convention for 2010 is Nov.4-5. So that will be Jersey Week.
