Oh my, I go away for a few minutes to start supper and everyone has hats!

Woohoo :woohoo:

Kentucky Derby here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao:

Morning...wow.. I went away yesterday afternoon...and it turns out our Frankenmuth meet changed to Branson, Missouri and now suddenly Louisville Kentucky...or rather a hat wearing expeditition to the Kentucky Derby...did I get that right!!!!! :rotfl2:

BTW...I loved the movie.
A wonderful night out with my friends as well.

Was it a total girl movie or do you think my DH could watch it? He doesn't seem interested. :confused3

No it wasn't what I would call a total chick flick...more about Julie Powell finding herself and learning about her cooking idol Juila Childs.
But the majority of people in the theatre were women.

Meryl as always was FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Morning!

Lake- glad you liked the movie! It looks cute.

Sea- yep- I know-- I'll be paying for my haberdasher-ing ways for years to come.

Trixie... hey-- did they come get your car??? Glad you found your lid.

It's actually chilly here this morning. I'm outside on my deck right now, drinking coffee and I have a long sleeved shirt on. Is it Fall already??? How's the weather up your way, girls???

Continuing to pray for Malik and his family, Lake.

We have actually just had the 3 warmest days of the entire summer.
July skipped over us in the heat department...and august seems to be bringing storms and humidity rather than heat.

Thanks so much Jodi!!! I'm just terrified for this little guy. To be so young and not understand what is happening, and why your body is making you sick. I just wish there was something I could do.
For now it is in the hands of the doctors and especially God. Who we will trust to bring him through this procedure as the happy little boy we all know and love.

Trixie... hey-- did they come get your car??? Glad you found your lid.

Yes, they brought it to the dealership, which told us the problem was the alternator (okay...that may be part of the problem, but it certainly isn't ALL of the problem because the same thing happened before Christmas and they told us then that it running really bad was caused by a totally soaked throttle casing). And they wanted almost $800 to fix it!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: And I don't have an exotic car!

DH said, "NO THANKS!" He called around and found an alternator at a parts store for under $150 and another mechanic who will put it in for $100! This guy won't warranty the alternator, but we are going to get a new car very soon, so who cares??? DH has had it with this one!!!

So I still don't have a car...hopefully, MIL will bring me hers today. :rolleyes1

Speaking of cars...my is in need of an oil change.
I need to do it before we make the 7 hour drive to the cottage next week.

Catch up with you later I'm off to Costco to get it done. :)
