Uuuummmmmmm! Sloppy joes!!!!! Thanks for the dinner idea! I make mine from scratch. :lmao:

Thay are a piece of work, those two.

Just get Bob to call them the day before your next birthday and say "We're having Heather's party at your house tomorrow- she'd like a three tiered birthday cake- chocolate with a Kaluha creme center and for dinner she wants grilled tenderloin with a side of shut the heck up and make it already.
'Kay, thanks.
Buh-bye."

:rotfl2:

Hey, I found a tupperware lid in my driveway yesterday. Do you think maybe?...

Wonder Twins.... ACTIVATE!

:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

Wow RF. My biggest pet peeve - Ungrateful people. :furious:

I try so hard to teach my kids not to be like that. It doesn't always work. The other day DS10 was whining that he didn't have a BB-gun like one of his friends. Then he started - I don't have anything. . . Boy did I let him have it!! I chewed him out for a good 15 minutes. I told him to take a good look around him and look at ALL the things he had. And that he should be thankful to be healthy and to have a brother and a mom & dad that love him and that he gets to go to Disney almost every year and things like that. I told him just what I thought of his ungratefulness and sent him to his room!

He came out with a whole different attitude and apologized.

Apparently "the twins" mom never tried to teach them this!

 You're a good Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My kids are so spoiled rotten it makes me sick when they start in on the "I never get to...", or, "I don't have x-y-z like peter down the street..."

I'm like.... take a look around. You've never known one second of your life of being deprived of one thing. I just get very irritated when mine start that, too.

Jo

Trixie- did someone say Frankenmuth Meet??????:lmao:
I always need a little get away...:rotfl2:

Oh yeah, I'd be up for that one!!! :cool1:

Maybe we really should consider that! :yay:

Lake~it must not be too terribly far for you, right?

Shelly~how long did we decide it would take you? 5 hours or something like that? I'll go check again!

ETA: 5 hours 39 minutes, Shelly.

Jo

Thanks JO!

I know, it is so very irritating when they start that crap! DS7 hasn't done it much yet. DS10 goes in spurts. I think it irritates me so much because I didn't have 1/4 of the stuff they have when I was growing up and I was perfectly happy!

I say the same exact thing - TAKE A LOOK AROUND YOU!!

I just hope all my chewing them out is doing some good and they don't grow up to be ungrateful adults!

hmm...I may have a mayer meet to plan... anyone else want to check out Frankenmuth , Michigan later this fall.

Absolutely. let's do it! :woohoo:

Trixie - post up all those links you sent me on Frankenmuth way back when!

I think I can do 5 1/2 hours in the car with the kids. That's about my limit though! :rotfl:

We probably couldn't go until next spring though with the Disney trip coming up and Christmas and all.

Hey--- I was just thinking---

Mari!!!

"Whhhhhere aaarrrrrreeeee yyyyoooouuuuuu?":goodvibes

You haven't been on here in awhile. Where are ya girl? Hope your summer is going good.

Check in when you can!

Jo

I was thinking the same thing yesterday so I messaged her on facebook.
She said to say hi to everyone, and that she would check back soon.
She and her Dh are having a rough patch and have been trying hard to keep things together. So keep thinking of her and send her good thoughts.

Thanks for letting us know Lake. She has definitely been on my mind lately.

Thanks Jo and Shelly...I don't think we'll be camping for a while! :rolleyes1

Next up is our trip to Chicago to see the Harry Potter exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry. :woohoo: I'd also like to do a bunch of other stuff while we're there, so I guess we'd need a couple of days. I guess that's coming up next week already! :scared1: I need to get working on that!!!

Wow- that Potter Exhibit sounds cool.... I'll have to check that out.

I plan on tagging along with Jason on one or two of his trips to Chicago this fall. :)
Grammy and Grampy have volunteered to come stay with the kids.

Spring sounds great to me!!!!!! :)

RF- So glad you got them, and that Bob liked the surprise.
If he wants more let me know.:lmao:

You and Bob have to come to Frankenmuth too!!!!!

Okay, so how many days do we need for Frankenmuth? Just 1 night/2 days or more like 2 nights/3 day?

Is there anything for the kids? Keep in mind that I have 2 boys who do not enjoy shopping all that much. :rotfl:

:yay:
