hi everyone...

We just checked into our hotel downtown, and we spent a wonderful morning at the zoo and aquarium. Etvan came away with a stuffed shark and Emmy a black bear.

We have now seen 2 other ontario plates...and our USA plate count is at 27...:thumbsup2 ..even Alaska.

All is going really well...weather is great and as usual wonderful friendly people in the Burgh.

I'm now going to go grab a shower, an get all cleaned up from playing at the zoo...I want to look good for my Mayers afterall. We're heading to station square, taking a bit of a walk around, and then heading to dinner at houlihan's.

Can't you just hear it now.......Mayer..party of 10...Mayer!!!!!

Next report...after dinner!!!!!!!! See you soon! Darrie-Ann and family.

I just need to say this to get it out of my system...

MP is the man!!!

Take that, Cavic! Neener, neener, neener!

We will now return to our regularly scheduled programming...which you will all once again understand and care about. :lmao:

Hey everyone...My mother-in-law just passed away about a half hour ago. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I know I can count on you guys!

Seacrest

Sea I am so sorry.
This has been an incredibly trying and difficult time for you and your family.
Wish there was something more I could do for you.

Many prayers and thoughts go out to you all.
As always there are many shoulders here for you when and if you should need them.

:flower3::hug:

Morning all. :surfweb:

I'm so sorry Sea. :grouphug: You've had such a rough couple of months. :sad2: You know that we're all here for you when you need us.

Well Lake - how did your kids sleep? Mine slept until 9:30! :cool1:

Needless to say we missed church this morning. "Out" too late partying with the MAYers I guess! RF and I got a kick out of how Lake says out!

DS7 is eating his maple syrup lollipop right now. That was so nice of you to bring them! :goodvibes

I need to get busy uploading my pics from last night. Yes, we even took pictures of the food for the MAYers! :rotfl:

Hi Mayers! Thank you for all your kind words and prayers. We are doing very well. Thanks for being there for us.

So, how was the Mayer party last night. Gosh, I so wanted to be there! I can't wait to see your pictures and hear about your meet up.

Sea

Hello Sea. How are you holding up?

The MAYer meet was awesome. We wish everyone could have been there! We really do need to try to all get together sometime. It would be so fun! :snooty:

My pictures are loading right now.

Doing OK...getting ready to go to church.

Glad to hear that you had a blast - yes, it would be awesome to meet all of our Mayer friends.

You are all the BEST! :cool1:

Okay, so who is ready for some Awesome Moving MAYer Meet pictures??? :snooty:

We arrived at Station Square around 4:00. We walked through the Freight House Shops quickly and then went outside and had a seat by the fountains for a while. Around 4:40 we decided to go in to the restrooms and wash our hands before heading to Houlihan's for dinner. As we walked back inside the Freight House Shops someone yells - Hi Shelly!! :wave2: It was Lake and her DD! So we said a quick hello and she went off to look for her DH and DS and we headed to the restrooms. About 5 minutes later we met up at Houlihan's. We were seated quickly in the outdoor seating where RF had asked for when she made the reservation. We made all of our introductions and figured out where everyone was going to sit. Somehow DH and I ended up being separated from our kids! I think all the kids wanted to sit together. But it was fine, they were right across from us where we could keep a good eye on them! Lake and family gave the boys some Canada magnets and some Maple Syrup lollipops. So nice! After a bit RF and her DH arrived! Her lucky DH got to sit by DS10! Who BTW never stopped talking (and singing) the whole way through dinner. Let's just say that RF and her DH will probably not be wanting children anytime soon! :rotfl2:

We had a very good dinner. The kids all ate well. We sat and visited until about 6:30 until the kids couldn't take sitting still another minute! Then we headed out to the fountains to let them run off some steam! They all had a blast. Then we walked over to the other side of the fountains by the river and looked at all the city buildings and saw where RF and her DH work. The kids were still running back and forth and playing in the water and playing tag!

We sat there and visited for quite awhile. Learned a lot about Canada. Very interesting!

Then we headed up to the Landing. A neat overlook of the river, the city, and Station Square. On the way back down from the Landing the men and children decided they would take the stairs while us ladies took the elevator and we would see who got there first! They beat us by a mile. It was funny, we could hear them running down the stairs and yelling and laughing while we were inside the elevator! :rotfl:

Then sadly the night was coming to a close. We stopped for a few more pictures and said our good-byes. Lake and family headed to where they had parked and I think they were going to go for a ride on the Incline before going back to their hotel. http://incline.pghfree.net/ RF & her DH and us headed for the parking garage where we had parked. As we were exiting the parking garage we got behind on truck in our lane. He apparently didn't know how to work the parking garage machines and hadn't paid his fee prior to exiting. :sad2: Good grief, we sat behind him for what seemed like forever. We saw RF and about 28 other cars fly by us in the lane next to us. RF was probably home before we ever exited the garage!

The kids waiting patiently before dinner.

And I can't believe this, but we all dug into our desserts before taking any pictures! :scared1: I know!! We were a little into our desserts when I yelled - oh my gosh we didn't take any pictures for the MAYers!! So, sorry for the half eaten food pics. :guilty:

DH and I had Smores Fondue, Lake had Creme Brulee, I'm not sure what RF had, but it looked very good! Her DH had some italian style donuts with dipping sauces - also looked very good!

Thanks JO! My kids could get along with anybody! And Lake's kids have the same type of personality! Very outgoing and friendly. But of course, they are MAYer babies. :snooty::goodvibes After we had been over at the fountains for quite awhile DS10 kept saying he was tired of being in the same place and wanted to go do something else. But we just kept on talking and pretty much ignored him.:rotfl: Pretty soon I see him playing tag with Lake's DD. I say to him - I thought you were bored. He says - well I was, but I've gotta give the people what they want!:lmao:

I wish you could have been there too. I still can't believe you left PGH. Has it really been a year already? Wow, time flies. So when's your next move? :rotfl:

Okay, it is August 2nd and nothing! No November hours!! :headache:

I remember the good old days when you could get park hours and ADR's 6 months in advance! :rotfl: Now, less than 3 months until November and no hours yet! :sad2:
