Thanks Jo. I just need something to look forward to, you know?

Who knew Post Phelps Depression would be so bad??? I thought only Disney did that to people!

TGIF Mayers and Happy Birthday Disneyland!

Yea, it is one of my favs of WD. He is walking into Fantasyland just before the park was opening that day. His head is turned toward the Peter Pan attraction, one of his most beloved rides. I wonder what was going through his mind...

Hi Sea!

Love that picture. Love it.

Afternoon MAYers!

Been out shopping most of the day. And stopped at the "Fun Center" (aka generic Chuck E Cheese) for lunch so the kids could play for awhile.

Shelly- your home is so beautiful! You have done wonders with it!! But I was especially fond of the Master Bedroom before.... why would you even think of changing it????:confused3

Jo

Thanks JO! I don't know why I didn't stick with the master bedroom the way it was ? ? ?

i'm in planning for pittsburgh mode today... only 2 weeks till we go to PA, and I just got a nice cheque back from the bank for reimbursement of money we had paid for the mortgage at the old house. More fun planning with a little extra $ in your pocket.

:)

YAY for the Pittsburgh Meet!! :cool1:

I am expecting a nice reimbursement from our escrow from our old mortgage too! :wizard: It will go straight into the Disney find! :yay:

Morning MAYers!

Quiet in here this weekend. . . .Guess everyone is out enjoying the weekend! We are having some unseasonably chilly weather here today. Only supposed to be 70. :confused3 Usually it is so stinking hot in mid-July that you can hardly breathe. Actually this whole summer has been on the mild side. A lot of days in the 70's & lower 80's. I'll take it! I'm just afraid it is going to be blazing hot when the kids go back to school in September. :scared:

DS10 is having his 2 BFF's over today. He hasn't seen them all summer because we have been so busy with the move. Should be a fun day!

I'll pop back in later and see if anyone is around.

TWO WEEKS until the Pittsburgh Moving MAYer Meet!!! :woohoo: (hopefully it will be a little warmer than it is today :wizard:)

wow...quiet weekend here.

Jason and I are celebrating out 12th anniversary today... a dinner out last night and we saw harry potter. then when we went to pick up the kids last night at grandmas' they were already asleep so jason's mom said she wanted to let them sleep over and she'll bring them home today. We got to sleep in...!!! :)

But I miss my babies...can't wait for them to get home.

Hello MAYers!

Sounds like a nice evening Lake! I know what you mean though, I am always in a hurry for my kids to get back home after a night away.

We did a little shopping last night and went to dinner at Chili's. It was very good! Today we are just working around the house. Of course.

Hey JO (or anyone else who has gone to WDW in November) - Do you remember what the park hours were like??? I'm trying to figure out our plans incase the November trip happens. I guess the hours will probably come out the first week of August. I need to call for my ADR's on August 9th. I'd like to have everything pretty much planned out this week though!

DH's friend/co-worker who is going in October called 90 days out and had a hard time getting what he wanted. Had to take the only day they had open for LeCellier at 8:30. :scared: So I'm a little nervous! Stupid 90 day rule. I really liked 180 days!!!

Okay, this may be a stupid question but - are they not showing Wishes every night at MK??? I was looking at the October park hours/daily schedules and it only shows Spectro & Wishes 4 nights a week. . . Spectro doesn't surprise me, I knew they cut that back, as well as Fantasmic. But Wishes? For October is shows Spectro & Wishes on Sun, Wed, Fri, and Sat. But neither on Mon, Tues, or Thurs. . . :confused3

In January I am pretty sure Wishes was shown every night, but Spectro & Fantasmic were only 2 nights a week. . .

Okay I just looked again. . . It appears that Wishes is not listed at all on the days that the park closes at 7:00. . .

Sulley - do you know anything about it???

Shelly-

MNSSHP is in Oct and the parks close at 7- so that might be why it's not showing Wishes on the calendar. On those nights, they show Hallowishes. The last date for MNSSHP is Oct 31st.

In Nov when we were there, both times- we left the first week, but I think the parks closed around 9. You know, normal times, not the early 7 pm close like in the winter.

Jo

Morning!~

So- where have the Moving MAYers decided to meet?

I'm having major Disney Withdrawals.
Have been for a few days.

I told Mark about the free dining and the pin code floating around out there. He told me to book a trip!!! But we can't take the kids out of school again for a long period of time. I'm so over the school schedule getting in the way of my Disney Time.:rotfl:

Maybe I should homeschool.......:rotfl2:

Anyway----

anyone know anything about President's day in Feb crowds? The kids get that Mon and Tues off.
I was thinking that if I took them out the week before that- on Wed, Thurs, Fri- we could come home on Tuesday.

Or maybe take them out the week of Presidents day- those three days. If I left late Fri night, we could come back home the following Sat.
hum. That might be better.

Which would you do?

Of course- all of this is hypothetical. None of it will probably work out.

Just trying to get the kids down there with us, and know nothing about Feb.

Well that makes sense then. I didn't think they cut back Wishes too, but you never know with "the economy"! Do they have the MNSSHP in September too? Sept has some 7:00 closings too. . . How about DHS? I see it's Oct schedule is all 7:00 closings with the exception of EMH. . . Wonder what November will bring. . . I really don't care if the parks close at 7, 8, or 9, I just want to know!! :yay:

Morning!!!!!

Shelly and RF... we'll see each other next week!!!!! :thumbsup2

YAY ~ :woohoo:

We are meeting at Station Square for dinner and some fun!! :yay: Wanna come??? You know where it is! :goodvibes

Hmm. . . Not sure about the Presidents Day crowds. . . Probably similar to the MLK crowds (busier than May, but still not terrible), but I believe you will be in "peak season" because of spring break beginning, so you will have those high room rates. :scared: I'm sure there will be some great special out though.

I would go with the second option - either leave on Friday night or Saturday morning and go back home the following Saturday or Sunday. :thumbsup2

The weather will be unpredictable. So you would need to pack some of everything and dress in layers. But it is fun to not be sweating your butt off the entire week! You can take it, you were a Pittsburgher - for a year or 2 anyway! :rotfl:
