Afternoon MAYers! :goodvibes

I can't believe what I just read JO! :scared1: You will end up back at Disney. I say that everytime we come back, we really should try other places. . . But then we soon realize that there will be time for other places when the kids are older. For now Disney is the best fit for us - something for everyone to enjoy there!

The November trip is still up in the air as of now. DH hasn't been able to talk to his boss yet. My thoughts are if he can't get the extra day off then we will just wait and go in January. Five days is just not enough. So if we have to wait until January then we may take a long weekend and go somewhere in August. So we'll see. . . .

My son Chris went to the midnight showing with a friend -then woke up and went again with my wife and my other son Jeremy at 9:00 am! Oh how I wish I was on summer vacation!

Well, I'm assuming it was good then. LOL.

I miss summer vacations :guilty:

Stupid work

RF~have you read all the books?

No, I haven't read any of them. I am one of those weird people who have a hard time reading books after I see it in on TV or in a movie....

I think it's because I get bored, because I know what's going to happen.... That's why I hurried up and read all of the Twilight books before the 1st movie came out. :goodvibes

But I hear that the Harry Potter books amazing and soooo much better than the movies, (which I think are pretty awesome to begin with) so I may give them a try when I run out of stuff to read.

I just finished a book that was super cute - it was called "The Sleeping Beauty Proposal" very lighthearted and chick flicky. Not my usual pick - but it was still a good read.

I am starting on "My Sister's Keeper" - again - because I want to read it before I see the movie.

I've read all the books twice (#6 three times because so much happens) and I like the books so much better than the movies!

I'll probably see The Half-Blood Prince, but I can't say that I'm really looking forward to it...I think it will be difficult for me to see it up on the big screen.

But I'm the one who cries while reading books and watching movies.

What a sap! :rotfl2:

Afternoon everyone!

I've been messing around all day. :lmao:
Every time I say that to Mark he starts doing the John Candy impersonation "We're doin' the mess around..." from Planes trains and Automobiles (our fave).

You all know it.

And if ya don't, you really are missing out.:goodvibes

Anyway- let's see, I balanced the checkbook and paid bills this morning for almost three hours.

Yes I said three hours. Wowza! Nothing like doing the checkbook to really just twist the "You're back from vacation" knife a little deeper.:headache:

Took the kids to Firehouse subs- yum.
Went to the post office to pay the bills. yuck.

Took my very jaw dropping expensive dress to the cleaners (when I told Mark how much I spent on it he rubbed his temples, that's how I knew it was "expensive";) LOL!) that I wore for the first time to Mark's cousins wedding in Tennesee--- where it got RUINED by some ignoramous throwing an entire bottle of bubbles onto me, the bride and the groom. Hopefully they can fix it b/c I spent that much on it b/c I planned to wear it again to my cousin's wedding in Sept.

Grrrrrrr. The dress gods were not pleased with my friviolity, obviously.

Hope everyone is doing good.

NC- hope you are enjoying your vacay!

Shelly-------- I know I'll end up at WDW. I was looking at flights to Italy today----- for next Spring. Around $900 p/p. eeeeek!
I hope you get your vacation figured out soon.

Jo

Good Morning!!!!!

I'm home from my parents.
I'm a little sun burned and stuffed, but the kids had so much fun. It was a wonderful break.

Well, Harry sufficiently rocked my world last night. It was pretty amazing. :goodvibes I will probably go see it again this weekend.

OK.... So I am thinking of the part at the very end and I really hope hope hope it's not true... Do you know what I am talking about?

I don't want to ruin it for everyone - but I hope it's not for real. :guilty: Because that was the only part that I cried at. :sad1:

Hello MAYers!

Welcome back Lake! Yes, your ticker is moving very quickly. Can't wait! Do you think we can convince anymore of the MAYers to join us?! :yay:

Still cleaning and organizing here. What a job it is! Someday I will be done and we will be able to park in our garage and do something fun before summer is over.

DS10 is excited, he is having his 2 bestfriends over Saturday to see his new house and to have lunch and play all afternoon. Hopefully we will have nice weather. I have my doubts though, it has been nice out for so many days that I just know we are in for something bad soon!

Hello Mayers - I can't believe how fast this week has gone.

Started the morning doing a a software update on my BlackBerry that has taken over an hour.

Got a couple of conference phone calls this afternoon and working on some proposals for a new niche I have been developing the last 3 months. Starting to see some very good results. Now I want to see the money - show me the money! LOLOL. That is what my wife says. :rotfl:

Planning a dinner date with my wife tomorrow night. I think I will take her here:

Okay MAYers, I have been working on loading my "after" pictures! Will get to that in a minute.

For now here is a picture of the outside, this would be the before picture because we haven't even begun to think about working out there yet! Actually the outside isn't too bad compared to the mess we were left with on the inside. The landscaping is a little overgrown and the yard needs a little work, but the house is in pretty good shape on the outside!

The kids rooms still need curtains, but we are getting there!

Very nice home Shelly. You have done a lot work there. I especially like all that land you have around your home and across the road.
