Huggie- so ggood to hear form you- it's been a very long time-- glad you're back with us. Sorry about your doggie. They have a way of tugging at your heart. Hope everything else is going well with you.


Shelly- I can't wait to see the pics! I love vaulted ceilings as well. They make the house look so dramatic and elegant.

RF- hope the closing went well. Crack open some Champipple girl!

Lake- are you buried in boxes up there? Should we send out search and rescue???

Sea- I hope you are doing okay. God and I had long conversations about you and your family while I was in Maui. I think for some reason He heard me better b/c it was so pretty and peaceful there. You can't be in surroundings like that and not want to talk to Him. Anyway- I hope you are fairing as well as possible given the circumstances.
I am glad you're going to WDW in Nov. You need a vacation. And as far as your forgetfulness--- ( Happy Anniversary, BTW-) --it is always expected when someone goes thru a tragedy. You will find yourself very forgetful for about a year, and then your brain starts working again. Any nurse will tell you so. Don't beat yourself up. It happens.

So I slept last night for 12 hours and I feel soemone pushing me, so I open one eye and it's Mark with a cup of coffee for me. I could've slept another 6 hours.

Been to the pool all afternoon with the kids.
belle has taught herself to swim!~!!!!!

yay for her.

I'll talk more later about the trip. It was fabulous--- ziplining-------ummmm..... Sea- of course, you know i have a story to tell about that. Wait til you hear it.

Wow, things are moving fast for you. That is great!

I got both of the boys rooms painted!! When I left this afternoon the painters had almost finished their first coat in all the rooms they are doing!

So that leaves me with the master bedroom and the master bath, and all the closets in the bedrooms.

Hopefully we can get everything done before they come to do the carpet/floors on Monday.

Good morning MAYers!

Another chilly rainy day here. That's 2 in a row! But it is supposed to be nice all weekend!

I decided to just stay home today and get some more packing done here. It's too hard to work over at the other house with the painters there. So we'll head over there tonight and get some more work done!

Last night I heard one of the painters say to DH - boy you guys will need a vacation after you get all this done. AND DH SAID - Yes, we're hoping to go see Mickey this fall!! So, I'd say it is looking good! He has never really given me the go-ahead on the November trip. But we have talked about it and he knows that I already booked it a few weeks ago. But we have just been waiting to see how things look financially after we get all this house business taken care of. Oh - and we sold the extra lot!! Not a great price, but the guy has cash and wants to close next week, so we took it!

Have we heard from RF since her closing??? Hope everything went well for them!

So what's everyone up to this holiday weekend? You know what I'll be doing. We would like to take a break at some point this weekend and take the kids to do something.

I think we're done travelling for awhile, after this whirlwind vacation month.

It's been really fun- but I will be happy to get back to my house and enjoy being at home for awhile before the kids start school again.

Today we are doing the pool thing again, and then going to one of our favorite restaurants- California Dreamin'. It's Drew's choice tonight.
Tomorrow we're going to the beach- the kids are pumped.

Shelly - Sounds like you guys are making progress! Wow! My dining room needs to be painted. I will probably hire it out. It has a chair rail, two door way type openings, a huge window and crown molding. There is just so much edging I don't think I can paint it myself. I am not a very good edger.

We like Benjamin Moore paint, and that happened to be the paint that the painters prefer too. But of course he had to use the most expensive version of it - nearly $40 a gallon! We mostly did the same colors that we have in this house now. Spice Gold, Stonehouse, and Everlasting. All very neutral/tan. I'll post pics! DS10 wanted the Spice Gold in his bedroom. I thought he'd want something a little more exciting. DS7 went with a light/medium shade of green. It looks pretty cool!

Where do you think I booked for November??? Anyone want to guess? I'll give you a hint, we went moderate for now. (Still trying to talk DH into a deluxe, but that's probably not going to happen. And he's probably right, it wouldn't be the smartest thing to do right now ) So there you have it - 4 choices. First correct guess is the WINNER!!

Yes, progress finally!

I actually don't mind the edging. I'm not too bad at it either. It's the rolling that kills my shoulders and back. I have had both of my shoulders operated on in the past, so they are very weak.

Oh darn so close.....

Well my stepson is doing ok. He is at home now.... we have a problem though he has insurance in NY i think medicaid or something like that so he can't get his pain medication filled in NJ... so it won't be until at least fri before he can get it.... they gave him perquisite (I don't know how to spell it) but he set up shop in our living room... he has to get the cast put on in 2 weeks then he will have it on for 12 weeks....
