I have a question.

I've heard many of you referring to timeshares that either you own (?) or family members own...can you please tell me the names of the companies they use??? I know all about DVC, but nothing about any others.

Got the confirmation on some bad news a little while ago. My mother hasn't been feeling well the last few weeks. After undergoing a lot of tests, the doctors have confirmed that she has ovarian cancer. She is going to have surgery this Tuesday or Wednesday. At this time, it appears to be localized and treatable.

My mom is very positive, strong and is ready to fight and take every action possible to overcome this. She is not going to give up.

I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers for my mom and our family during this time.

We are off to the soccer tournament here in a little bit. DS10 is double elimination and DS7 is single elimination. We could end up there most of the day!

Yesterday we went to the new house and measured and took pictures and got all the info we could. Then we went to Lowe's last night to price carpet, paint, doors, etc. Looks like we will be closing on June 30 and moving on July 10. So things are going to be pretty crazy around here for the next 5-6 weeks!

I was digging around my files looking for something and found these pictures and thought what perfecting timing to show you since Leno retired from the Tonight Show last Friday night.

We were in Las Vegas for my birthday back in 2002, having a bite to eat at INO Burger around 10:30 pm. A limo pulls up to the front door and out comes Jay Leno! He orders his food and a I decided to see if he would take a picture with me. He was very gracious and even offered a autograph too.

Morning! I have to go back and catch up on some stuff, but I wanted to tell you guys that we went and saw the house again and we (and all of our family) love it! So, tonight we are going to give a check for hand money to our realtor and make an offer!

Wish me lots and lots of luck! I just hope we have enough money saved up for all of the upfront costs. That's what I am most scared about right now.

I completely understand about all the upfront costs..dealing with that right now myself. But it is all worth every penny in the end to have your own place. I hope it works out for you.

Shelly and RF - any chance you would want to do a meet this summer at the outlet in Grove City or maybe even the Pittsburgh Zoo... Jason and I have some hotel points to use, and I'll need to do some back to school shopping in late august. DS has outgrown.. everything!!!!! this year.

So we thought maybe we could use our points in PA again... we loved our visit last summer, and after all the move is done and we are feeling settled, a getaway for the four of us before school starts in Sept would be a great thing to do. Plus the fact of no tax on clothes is a big bonus too...

We did the zoo, and heinz field, the science centre, and the children's museum and the natural history museum... yep jammed it all in there.
We really liked the zoo... so we'll probably do it again... ??? what is Kennywood like???? or Sandcastles even ???? (I'll go back online to visit Pittsburgh.com...they sell tickets to everything at very reduced rates there.)

I do know we'll stop at the outlet this time, on the way home likely. Do a night or two in Pittsburgh, and maybe the last one in Grove City across from the outlet.
