Hey all sorry i have been MIA.... well my weekend was great..... On Sat i went to my bro and nephew's baseball game then to moms for a BBQ.... Sunday I had a bday party to go to so we were in NYC most of the day.... Monday basically just hung out in my mothers house... we had a bbq something VERY last minute... Had GREAT weather over the weekend but today it started raining... it's suppose to rain until Friday BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to run.... kind of late.... will catch up on the thread in the AM.... Good night all my MAYers.... I have to tell you guys about a idea my DH had..... will write more in the AM... but i could already tell it's gonna be a HUGE headache....

Good question! Oh well, it was a good run while it lasted!!

Actually it's supposed to be in the 70's today, just rainy. Scattered rain in the forecast for the rest of the week and weekend. We have too much outside stuff going on for this rain! Tomorrow morning is that awards ceremony where DS is getting his awesome award, and it's outside. Friday is field day at the school. And Sunday is the soccer tournament all day. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no rain for those things!!!

Seriously I could care less. But boy is this a huge topic on these boards. People actually book their stay there based on Icee's. . . I don't get it.

Hello Mayers! Can't believe it is Wednesday already.

The President is coming into town today. He flies into LAX then takes helicopters over to Santa Monica Airport, which is right about 3 blocks from my home. From there he will take a motorcade to wherever he is going. Maybe I will get a glimpse of him today. We saw Ronald Regan many times when he came into town, because he had a home in Pacific Palisades. He would wave from the car.

Hopefully, this won't mess up traffic too bad around here - we are going to see UP tonight!

I saw both President Bushes. Actually, George Sr. spoke at my college back in the day, and George Jr. waved at us as he drove through my town. So fun!

I know - I can't believe sometimes the topics on these Disney message boards. Some people must not have any kind of life at all if all they care about are Icee's or how the toilet paper hangs in the bathrooms.

Unfortunately yes.

With DH's income being cut nearly in half just recently I am looking for any way we can get to Disney next year.

So here's what I have narrowed it down to:

If things get back to normal at work (not likely) - YC or BCV

If things get almost back to normal (again, not likely) - WL or OKW

If things stay the way they are - POR or CBR-pirate room

If things get any worse - ASMo or POP

And this is all based on getting a great deal and hoping that we get to go at all!

Well, here's my story--when I was teeny, I saw President Carter in a parade in Charleston. Only for a second.

Then, when I was 3, King Hussein of Jordan came to the Citadel- the men's military school in Charleston- to speak. My Mom begged me to go down and ask for his autograph- and I said No. Imagine that?! My Mom was shocked- so my cousin- a very shy girl- said "I'll do it" and so she went down there and the bodyguards tried to keep her away-- but , just like Jesus in the bible, the King motioned her forward- so they pushed her on stage with him, he bent down and Kissed her on her head.
And the next day, her picture was on the front page of every newspaper worldwide.
We always referred to him as her King. She cried when he died.


So that's my non story about not myself.

I did see King Charles once, but he didn't see me.

He was very Kingly.
