Okay friends I need some help remembering how the disney dining plan works.
The dining plan is purchased and attached to the number of nights you have a hotel reservation for and not how many days park ticket you purchase...right???? It's been a while and I want to make sure I am correct. From what I have read and remember I should beable to use the DDP OVER 3 DAYS.

For instance. We have a two night stay, checking in January 1st and checking out January 3rd.
We arrive at WDW at 2 pm on the 1st and don't leave for the cruise until 12 pm on the 3rd.
We only wanted to get tickets for MK for on the 2nd.
Would we be able to use
1 TS FOR DINNER ON THE 1ST.
2 CS WHILE AT THE PARK ON THE 2ND
1 TS FOR BREAKFAST ON THE 3RD BEFORE LEAVING.

That way it gives us more of a disney experience (character dining) and keeps us occupied and not worrying about not being in a park.
I am worried about when the dining plan would expire...and then making the right reservations.

We have an additional day after the cruise to visit a park again.

HELP let me know that I am remebering this correctly.

Also... I am pretty much sticking to reservations at restauarnts at resorts...as to not tempt and tease the kids with parks we will not be visiting until the next time.

Anyone prefer breakfast to dinner or vice versa at chef mickeys or anything.

I know that you get credits for each NIGHT of your stay, so if you are staying for 2 nights, 3 days - you would get 2 days worth of DDP. So, to me your ADR's look good. In the link I gave you it says that "all dining credits must be used by midnight the last day of your stay, otherwise they expire." so I would assume that you are fine with that last ADR at a TS.

And I have never done CM at night, but we really enjoyed breakfast there.

Yes Mari, it was such a fun trip! Lake did a great job of summing it up, we were running around like little kids and we had a blast!!!! That bridge after the water ride was the funniest part. We were SOAKED!

And Darrie is right, Disney was discussed and compaired a lot. LOL. I guess we can never escape the fact that we all LOVE it so much! I'm almost under 3 months!!!!!

I've been working hard on our trip planning today as I realised that if we do go ahead and do the DDP, then the 180 day mark for ADR'S is very soon. Less than 2 weeks away.

We are going to be going in the christmas holiday rush, so I want to be ready to make my reservations that day. We are at the cottage till that night, but I'll get it done online perhaps, or call from the cottage even.

I just want to know we have a place to sit and eat and enjoy ourselves away from the crowds. I also had to figure out if we would have enough time for a character breakfast before the DCL bus came to pick us up for the cruise transportation. It looks like we will... so operation DDP will be in effect. haha

I hope everyone has a good evening and day tomorrow. I will be field tripping with Ethan and three 2nd grade classes, so much fun.
