What would you guys do....

i just tried and got a ADR for Le Cellier for lunch on the 11th... should I cancel Coral Reef (a restaurant we haven't tried) or Le Cellier (a restaurant we LOVE)

Le Cellier is our fav! I have never been to Coral Reef, I am sure it is fabulous, but if I just scored an ADR at Le Cellier, I would be celebrating and doing a happy dance.

It is so fun to try something new as well. But I would have to go with Le Cellier just because it is my ultimate favorite!!!

Good news is that you can't lose either way!

Just learned of Art Linkletter's passing today. 97 years old!

He was a good friend of Walt Disney. He was one of the TV hosts that Walt picked for his opening day show of Disneyland.

Unfortunately, Walt was so cash strapped at that time, he couldn't pay Art to host the show, so Art made a deal with him. He got all the film and camera concession sales at Disneyland for the first 10 years! I think he made a great deal!

Morning all....

It gonna be a great day today.... Yesterday i received a hint of what it might be like in WDW when we go... it was 94 here yesterday and it was HOT.... but i'll deal with it when we are in WDW.... Today i don't have anything planned... just hang around the house... clean up a bit then just Dis plan..... i'm still trying to get breakfast with Donald in AK... we'll see how that goes....

I wanted to tell you that I'm about a third of the way through the Walt Disney book by Gabler. I'm at the part where they are working on Fantasia. It's such an interesting book and I am learning so much from it! Just wish I had more free time to enjoy it. I watched Snow White with a whole new appreciation after reading about all that went into making it.

We're almost finished!!!!! We just have to hang a smoke detector and put child locks on the cabinet doors/drawers. I should be able to call Monday to schedule my final inspections. I have to have the room approved by the Fire Marshal and my state licensing agency before it can be used by the kids. Right now I am using it to heat bottles and make myself cups of tea LOL. It will be so nice when the kids can be allowed to use it for meals and art projects. Right now they can use it as an egress to get outside to the playground but that's it. Once it's approved I can move the microwave, other high chair and other kitchen necessities from upstairs. This has been a year long project so cross your fingers for me that all goes well with inspections!

Hi everyone. I just need a moment to gush about my children for a second.

I just returned from the kids school, where our son
Ethan was awarded the literacy award.

Ethan along with the rest of the school was given their provincial literacy testing last week, and Ethan did a fantastic job and was in the 100 percentile for Grade 2 students across the province. He scored the highest score possible, and even surpassed most children in Grade's 3 and 4 as well.
We are so pleased, excited and proud.
They are looking at placing him in an advanced class next year.

Emily is also soaring...though in kindergarten they do not do the provincial tests yet. But we have two very good readers who love school.
We have always told them if you can read well, then you can do or be anything you want. Afterall, if you can read about it in a book or online, then you can teach yourself anything!

I'm such a proud mommy.

Hi MAYers!
We are having quite a toasty day here too. It's probably near 90.

I sat through a 1 1/2 hour long Awards Ceremony at DS11's school this morning in the steaming hot gym. Of course his award was last! But it was all worth it to hear the principal read all the great things his teacher had to say about him and why he was chosen for the award. I'm so proud!

Yesterday was his field trip. Tomorrow is his field day. It's been a crazy week.

I am totally freaking out! I just got a PIN!!!! I have never got a PIN before!

I have no idea what I should book. I am so thinking AKL with two queen beds.

Any thoughts?

(FYI - if I can book a standard room at AKL it would cost less than a moderate. Freaky!)

Hey NC! Which PIN did you get? Is it a larger % off the deluxes? That could probably make AKL ot WL cheaper than a moderate since they are the cheapest deluxes! I don't know what to tell you about AKL. It is the one resort that has never appealed to me for some reason. We have never even been there. I really need to make it a point to go visit it this next trip. You just never know. POR didn't really appeal to me at first and we ended up loving it!

Hi everyone from drizzly and foggy SoCal! This low pressure should be gone by this afternoon and then the sun and warmth comes back for a great 80-85 sunny holiday weekend.

Tonight is Chris' "Grad Nite" at Disneyland. They leave from the school about 9:30 pm then take a bus to the park. I think about 20 other schools will be there. Live concerts and fireworks through out the night. Midnight to 6 am!!!

And remember I told you I won??? (nobody asked about it) Anyways, this is what I won:

Lena and I are going down to DCA this afternoon for the meet-up. In the confirmation email, they said there will be "special surprises"!!!! I am crossing my fingers and toes that one of those surprises will be a World of Color preview. I can hardly wait for this!

On top of everything that is going on, my car had a flat this morning, but I got it fix, but it took almost 3 hours. At least it didn't cost me anything because I have a road hazard warranty.

Yes, I got the same feeling after reading this book. I thought I knew a lot about the Studio history, but this book really opened up my eyes to a lot of the nitty gritty stuff that went on to make such wonderful films. WD had a persistence of vision, unrelenting and always thinking out side of the box.

It is a 20%/30%/40% PIN. That is exactly why the AKL is less than a standardview mod. I have been to AKL just to look around. It seems very WLish to me.

I think it is beautiful but it has never been like I have to stay there before I die. That was CR and GF for me. I probably for some stupid reason have a crush on Yacht and Beach Club, but it's not a "My Life Is Not Complete" sort of thing.
