Thank you Jo! Chris really loves the dancing. I am glad the lessons we got for him have paid off.

I think they do the "Boo to you" song during the parade at the Mickey's Trick or Treat event at DCA. Our tickets are for the 23rd. I have to figure out my costume...I have no idea what to do.

Have a good night!

Hi Sea- glad you're doing better!:goodvibes
Chris was so cute out there, cuttin' a rug. I like his shirt.:)

Somehow, I rememeber you posting the fireworks video and at that moment, I couldn't watch it- and planned on going back and then forgot. I'm sorry.

I love that fireworks show. Hallowishes in the MK I think is a spin off of it. It is so fun and festive.
I love the part when they're singing "Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" and the white spinny things are going. For some reason, that has stuck out in my head the few times I've seen it in person.
Thanks so much for sharing it. Now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head for days-- just like if I was at the parks.

I love Fall in the Parks.
Hey at your Halloween party out in DL- so they do the Boo to You song during the parade? I love that one as well.

Thank goodness for Subsonic radio-- they play them every now and then.

I'm going to try to get some sleep- didn't sleep last night at all.

Have a great night!

Jo

Thank you KB! I am sure Chris would be more than happy to give a few lessons.

Yes, next year come after they put up the Halloween stuff up...it is really good this time around.

Chris and Lena send their greetings to you, Mike and Tim. They are glad you had such a great time and made great memories together.

Sea -- glad you are feeling better! :goodvibes The castle pic is great, one of the best I've seen :thumbsup2 Loved the vids, too...Chris is quite a dancer. Poor guy, he tried so hard to get me or Cornelia to dance with him. I can't dance AT ALL and I'm a horrible klutz. Maybe next time, he can give me a brief tutorial  And the Halloween fireworks are so great! I think when I do a future bday trip, I'll have to make it for the end of September, beginning of October, so I can enjoy the holiday festivities. I want that AND a mid-December Christmas trip, omigosh I'm so greedy. :lmao:

Please let Chris and Lena know what a great time we had, and how much we appreciate the stuff you guys did for us, like saving places at the fireworks and Fantasmic, and Chris being such a good sport to run ahead for FP's. You really made Mike's first trip in 10 years special, and you guys are so much fun to hang out with!

Absolutely, Chris would love to dance with you! Glad you enjoyed the video.

OMG Sea! Your son is too cute dancing!!! He has to show me some moves when I finally make it out your way. :goodvibes I can dance, but it's more of the 'drop it like it's hot' kind of dancing. ;)

He'll have to show me how to be a little classier. LOL. :lmao:

"Is this bathroom actually stretching or is it the beans you had for dinner?" :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Great pics!!! I want to redecorate my house now with about half of the stuff I saw in the gallery... I think I could do the bathroom in "Haunted Mansion" theme, and the living room as Adventureland, complete with Tiki Birds...

Wanna come to Arkansas and watch it in my theater with me and Mcat? We could have a par-tay, with snacks and everything.:happytv:

I have decided I'm waiting a looooong time before I see it in the theater. Either that, or I will go when I know no squealing teenaged girls will be there.:headache:

:rotfl:

Jo

Trixie

or join my movie group and come with us... all twlighit lovers.

Morning Everyone

Welcome Kim...don't be scared this is a wonderful group of people I am proud to call friends.

A little tired this morning from staying up and watching the Steeler game.

Busy weekend.. renovations are underway, walls are going up. Our family room is about to get a bit smaller, but I'm gaining a spare bedroom and an office/scrapbook room. :) It's kept us busy, sorry I haven't checked in lately.

Emmy had a great birthday... my baby is now 5. Not quite sure how that happened...I didn't get any older.;)

Sea - glad you are ok.
Jo - good for you , making sure he was.
Heather- looks like that will be quite the trip you'll have,
Shelly- Suitcases...are they out yet...:rotfl:
Trixie- nice dip in temperature we've been having... we may be in snowsuits by halloween.:scared1:
Nc- how is Chris's arm doing?

Cool Gallery pics, Sea! I'd love to see them in person.

Lake- you'll have to show us pics of the new rooms! Hope it all turns out well.

Hey KB- I'm off to read up on yout TR next.:goodvibes

Hello to all MAYers near and far.

Today I'm off to the Dr--- for me this time--;) for an antibiotic for my sinus infx. Gross.

But I have lots of energy so that's good.

Must have something to do with staying in my pj's in bed all day long yesterday.:confused3

Laaaaaa-zy!:lmao:
But sometimes you gotta have those kinds of days.

Jo

ooohh - look at my ticker! We're going on our minivacation where I get to see Tebow in 19 days!:goodvibes

Yay------!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually- I think we are leaving in 18 days, we're driving to Little rock after Mark gets off of work on that Thursday so we don't have too far to go all the way down into Mississppi the next day.

I'm excited, y'all. I hope he's all better by then.:guilty:

And Erie? wow- hope your weather is nice for the drive and game. That will be an all day occurance. Hope he does well tomorrow and shows the coach who he should be playing.:goodvibes

Jo:banana:

Yes, that was one long BEHIND drive. I said that to DS on the way - boy this is a long BEHIND drive. He just looked at me like I was nuts and laughed! :confused3:rotfl: Guess he never heard that expression before!
Hey guys. It's chilly here today, but the sun is starting to peek out. :goodvibes I just got back from the grocery store. I'm trying to re-create Max & Erma's chicken tortilla soup today.

Mmmmmmmmmmm........ I can't wait! I need to get it simmering! :cool1:

Ooohhh I love Max & Erma's. Never had the chicken tortilla soup though. Sounds good!

Hi -checking in. I am feeling a lot better today. No dizziness or nausea today.

Anyways, went to see a friend who is a doctor yesterday afternoon. - I didn't want to battle ER on a Friday. He checked me out and said I might of got a mild concussion, based upon the symptoms - so I am taking it easy this weekend.

No head banging or bumper cars. The extra strength Tylenol is helping too.

Thanks for checking up on me Jo.

Sea

Glad you're okay Sea! :goodvibes

Has anyone done a spa treatment at WDW? I am seriously considering getting a sweedish massage and a pedicure while we are there in October next year.

But, this is becoming an EXPENSIVE trip so far.

:scared1:

The 'extras' that we have discussed doing

1. The Grand Tea at the GF for my aunt and I for her birthday ($25 pp/not so bad)
2. Golf for Bob and my Uncle and Cousin the day that the ladies are having afternoon tea. ($89 pp + the cost of renting clubs $55, buying balls $7, renting shoes $10 = around $160 pp)
3. Spa for me $120 for a 50 minute sweedish massage $65 for a pedi (a little over $200 with tip....)
4. MNSSHP (I think it's $55 pp) = $110 for both of us
5. Universal Studios/IOA (2 parks/2 day tickets $99 pp) = $200 for both of us
6. Haunted Halloween party at Universal ($70 pp) = $140 for both of us

  :scared1: :scared1:

I'm gonna have to do some trimming somewhere... that's like an extra $800 on top of everything else.... :scared:

I'm gonna have to get a second job to support my addiction. :lmao:

Wow, looks like that is becoming quite the trip!

I've got a ticker.....:goodvibes

It says the Poly. For now, at least.:lmao:

Love the new ticker! :thumbsup2 (Although I think you'll change your mind about the resort before then :rotfl:)

You lucky girl.. and a big happy birthday greeting from Ethan and Emmy!!!!!

Thanks Ethan & Emmy! :cool1:

Shelly- Suitcases...are they out yet...:rotfl:

Of course they are!! :yay: I even posted their picture on my PTR! :rotfl:

Nc- how is Chris's arm doing?

His arm is doing great! We go to the orthopedic doctor tomorrow. I hoping they will say that he doesn't have to do any rehab.

First, I just have to say that I love the pink ribbon at the top of the page by the DISboards.com logo!

I have been very busy with the boutique for Race for the Cure. We sold almost $11,000 worth of stuff on Friday. Every year it amazes me!!!

This weekend my in-laws were here with my FIL's army buddies, one from MA and one from NY. They get together every year and this year was my FIL's turn to host. My FIL is 80 and he and his friends served in the Korean War together. They are now down to 3 who are alive and well enough to travel. It was a hoot to hear some of their stories.

I have parent teacher conferences today and I need to go by Race for awhile. We will see how it all goes.

At some point, I need to catch up on this NEW thread...

Hope all is well in MAYer land!

Good Monday Morning Mayers. This update is from my nice warm bed via my Blackberry!

Lake - When will your room be finished? We are going to do some remodelling this spring.

Shelly - five weeks! We will wave to you when we fly over WDW.

NC - glad to hear the RFC events are going well. Congrats on raising so much money.

That's great news! :goodvibes

Shelly ... I guess I have to get caught up on your PTR now too.. haha

Yes, you need to take a look. Things got pretty crazy over there Friday when JO & Trixie started talking about "drawers"!! :lmao: I tell ya, you can't take those 2 anywhere. . . :rotfl2:

Good Monday Morning Mayers.

Shelly - five weeks! We will wave to you when we fly over WDW.

Morning Sea.

I'll be sure to give you a big wave!!

Good Monday Morning Mayers. Lake - When will your room be finished? We are going to do some remodelling this spring.

.

Hopefully before we have a ton of company for christmas.
Plus we want to get it all done before feb 2010. We can claim home renovation cost on our income tax then. :)

Yikes I forgot to subscribe to the thread and thought you were tired of me already and hid :lmao:

Thanks for all the welcomes everyone and thanks Shelly for the lovely description- although I don't know about the *awesome scrapbooker* part.

Trixie- I'm sorry you felt left out of the intro. Here's a little something to make you feel better
PHELPS.jpg

I forgot you were such a huge fan! Next time I see him around town I'll tell him you said hi ;)
