Belle's teacher just emailed me (I love love love her) and said that the little boy that sits right across from Belle tested positive for the flu last night after school.

Just a question for all of you, as moms...when I was homeschooling my kids, and one of them got chicken pox -- mind you, this was before there was a vaccine -- a couple of homeschooling moms wanted me to bring him to their house to purposely expose their kids to the chicken pox -- both families had 7 or 8 kids. I guess they figured they'd like all their kids to get it and be done with it. But sheesh -- why would you want to make your kids sick on purpose? What if they never got chicken pox? And what about the other related diseases or problems they might get later, like shingles? Maybe another mom on here can provide a different perspective?
Would it be worth it to not have a monorail, and have to go by boat to the MK and then switch at TTC to go to, say, Epcot? Which is what we would do.
I like the Poly- although I haven't stayed there- but from what I can tell- it is a neat resort. I just kinda feel like--- okay--- people are probably gonna think I'm nuts-- but it sort of reminds me of the 1970's Brady Bunch goes to Hawaii kitschy theme thing going on.

I'm really anxious to hear what you think, Shelly, about going right before the hustle and bustle of Christmas, as opposed to going right after the hustle and bustle of Christmas. It was nice to still have something to look forward to last year, even when Christmas was over.
Maybe I just need to screw it and go in January again!(Just not to DHS on a F! day!) I don't know how Mr. Trixie would feel about potentially cold temps again, though.
Last year was just a fluke, right???
Shelly--- word.
Crowded to me is when you go into EPCOT and there's a line outside and winding around to go into Spaceship Earth.
That = a bad day to me.
May has spoiled me--- of course- I'm seen the MK so crowded it looked like a sea of people moving in tandem, so...... I guess it's all relative.
I think that is what is bugging me and keeping the WL in my mind.

Sort of .... hokey? i don't know. After being at the Grand Wailea resort in Maui-- I just don't know about it.
Of course- I don't think any WDW resort is worth the $$$$ they ask for them, but that's just my Opinion.
OMG one of my old neighbors just called to tell me that there were 4 accidents in front of our old house yesterday. And one of them involved 2 of the neighbors. They (2 ladies) were in the same car coming home from Church group and someone hit them as they were pulling into the development. One of them is in our local hospital and the other was life flighted. She didn't know where. Probably Pittsburgh. I can't believe this. Well, I can, but still. How terrible. I hope they are alright.
He's also had Strep throat and the flu at the same time, but I'll leave that one for another day.![]()
