The kids and I are headed to see the Olympic torch as it runs through our town this afternoon.
We have our Canadian Pride red mittens all ready for it as well.

Such a great exerience for the kids.
Its travelling through SW Ontario this week, as it heads towards Vancouver.
Now when the Olympics are on TV and we see them light the flame, they will feel that much more part of the experience.

I hope everyone is having a great day, and almost ready for the holiday.
My cooking will begin again tonight with desserts and stuff for the 20 I will have here for dinner and gifts tomorrow. I'd better remember to make Santa some cookies too.

Jo - I hope your mom is OK. Glad you are there to take some extra special Christmas care of her this year.

Lake - Have fun at the Olympic torch run. We saw that when we had the Olympics in LA in 1984. BTW, we love Whistler, it is a beautiful place and the drive up there from Vancouver is breathtaking. I want to go back there again someday.

Shelly- I'm sure your DS8 was the cutest little elf in the play! Hope DS10 is enjoying his party today! You only got a little snow? We got over a foot of snow this past weekend. Isn't that a switch!

Lake- Phew! I'm tired just reading about your 2 parties! Hope the second goes well too!

NC- What a sweet hubby you have! Enjoy your Christmas Eve dinner! Hope your MIL recovers quickly and sending prayers your DH is well soon!

Mari- Congrats on 1 year on your ticker!

I've been getting things cleared up with Chase- they've been awesome at helping me through all of this. It was only about $150 charged but still it's the principal of it. You don't take what isn't yours. Geez- my 5 year old could tell you that. Some people must not have had a good mama to teach them. I've decided not to dwell on it and let it ruin my holidays. I am rethinking my online life though. I'm keeping the DIS but have dropped Facebook. I don't like my real name and such out there for these creeps. Plus my FB account was hacked into twice. I'm not going to live in a bubble but I don't want to make it too easy for my info to be taken. Off the soapbox now!

Oh and Sea- you can keep your sunshine and 80 degrees! I like my snow! I'll be wishing for those temps by the end of winter when I've had enough of the cold though.

Yep, we only got about 3 inches. We really lucked out on that storm compared to what everyone else got. That's a nice change!

I'm glad Chase is handling things in a timely manner for you. It's a scary world out there. It seems we have to be on guard all the time. I don't have a facebook account for the reasons you mentioned, too much personal info and too easy for others to get to it.
