Thermostat Override Code?

I'm melting in my room at the Contemporary... does anybody know the code to enter so maid service wont turn it back up each time we leave.

This is what I copied off the DIS about over-riding the thermostats at CSR. I hope it works for the CR, too!

Over-ride the a/c sensor in the hotel room:
"on the thermostat push the power button and the down arrow (that adjusts the temperature) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly there will be the letters "bp" where the temp #s usually are. You are now bypassing the room sensors. You can set the temperature whereever you want and it keeps it that cold whether or not you're in the room. You may have to do this once a day if the system resets."

Try this. Not sure if you have the same thermostat as CSR.

On the thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (button that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly, you will see the letters "bp" where the temp normally shows. You are now bypassing the sensors in the room. You can then set the temp to whatever you want and it keeps the room that cold whether you are in it or not. The maintenance man said that you might have to do this once a day as the thermostat tends to go back to sensor mode after 24 hours. The CM that did this for us said it was not a problem doing this as they do it for people all the time.

Just note that none of this will prevent the maid from changing the temperature on you. This only works to over-ride the occupancy sensor in the room.

FWIW, we've never found it necessary to do this.

if you tip housekeeping, you could leave a note with the tip money asking that they leave the themostat alone.

After you get it to the temp you want, just leave a note (and a tip) telling Mousekeeping that you are very hot natured and would like the thermostat to stay cool.
