you guessed it, my trip! This happened the other night too. A tornado hit four miles from the house. Was I afraid for my life, afraid for my daughter and granddaugter's lives? NO! I'm thinking is this going to cause me to miss my trip!

Now, tonight, it's happening again! There's tornado warnings right now and I'm still DISing! Which has got me thinking. Would it still be appropriate if I still took my trip even if..............

!. The house was destroyed but we all survived?

2. My daughter's house is destroyed but they all survived?

3. What if someone is hurt, not badly but hurt. Would it still be appropriate to go?

I'm so bad! I think I would still go! Would you?

If the house was totally destroyed, and no one was hurt, I'd probably still go. Assuming everything was a total loss, what could you do about it if you stayed?

If someone was hurt, I'd probably cancel...unless it was a very simple superficial injury, any broken bones or deep bruises, I'd stay and look after the injured party.

1. You have no where else to go then so why not take a vacation to WDW? Go for it!

2. They would be at your house anyway. If your gonna hang out together make the best of it. Go for it!

3. If they will slow you up, leave 'em! But go for it!

I'm just playing with ya ;) I hope you have a safe and fun trip!

ROFLMAO... the other day, the sirens were going off & we had to take cover. I grabbed the laptop & ran. Hubby was like - why did you bring the laptop? I replied, because all of our confirmations and itineraries for the trip are on there! He wasn't all that amused  .

But hey, if I gotta be crazy, I'd rather be DISNEY crazy!!!

I would go.. I mean the best thing to do when something sad happens like that or when you leave Disney and don't want to leave is to go on a trip.

I'd go.... after I called the insurance agent!

Are you okay???

I'd go, you have nowhere else to go but a cheap motel. Wouldn't you rather be at Disneyworld?

There are tornados all around us as well, but we'd definitely still go to Disneyworld as long as everyone was still okay!

I'm okay! It was a long night of sleeping with one eye open to watch the reports on TV. I haven't heard yet if any touched down or not. The lightening and thunder was horrible though. That whole line of storms look like they're heading southeast. My luck, they'll be in WDW when I get there.

Same thing is happening in our area and I also had the same thoughts as you. I grabbed my purse with all our disney stuff in it. I had even told our kids if we all survived we would go even if the house was gone. If you lose everything else why not enjoy something that you have looked forward to. But I have to agree with you we might have a illness to feel this way. HA HA

Boy I've been watching the weather reports--sure glad you're all ok!!

But, hey, if you're going to escape reality, there's not better place to go to than WDW!!

(AS LONG AS there's no hurricanes or rough weather hitting FL at the time!!!)

:moped: You go girl! Get outta there and go!! Go if the house blows down and again when they are building it back up!;)

Seriously though, I am glad you are OK and the house is still standing!::yes::

Hey Jenifer we are in Barbourville just down I-75 from you and it was a rough night indeed. I have never seen weather like this. We awoke last night to our town siren blaring but luckily no major damage here in town. I'm glad everything is okay at your house. Can't have anything interfering with our Disney trips, natural disasters or otherwise!! Have a wonderful trip!!

Quick, grab some lettuce and ranch dressing and . . .

Oh, I thought you said you were surrounded by TOMATOES.

Hey, neighbor! Glad you survived the storms too! Looks like we'll be in the world at the same time!

ROFLMAO! This is the THEME PARKS BOARD not the restaurant board, RLewis! Somebody feed him!

Hi Jenifer and MickeyEars - I'm glad you both made it through the storms okay. We didn't have any problems either, other than a lot of worrying. :bitelip:

Jenifer, so you don't feel alone obsessing about your WDW trip at times like this, I'll tell you what I did last night. I gathered supplies that we would need in the downstairs half-bath: blankets, flashlights, a battery-powered radio, and my WDW cash and tickets!! If the rest of the house blew away, I at least wanted to make sure I had our cash and tickets for the trip! ::yes::

Hi,
I can join the Kentucky crowd! I'm in Williamsburg (close to the Tenn. border). When the sirens went off and then our power went off last night, I was really worried. Besides my family, the only thing I got ready to grab was my tickets:rolleyes: I guess I just felt they were worth too much to blow away. Luckily, we are okay. I hope everyone else is too.

Hi neighbor! I know it got rough down your way too. Glad you're okay. I had all my WDW ressie papers, passes, and even have my suitcase already packed. I had it all there ready to go if things got rough!::yes::
