There's room for two (or even three) favorites in our lives...

I'm a Disney freak, I admit. But lately with our finances, etc. and Disney constantly raising the prices of tickets, rooms, food, etc., and going there once or twice a year for the past 10 years, I'm ready for a break. We've been to US/IOA for a day here or there (maybe four times total), but have never taken an exclusive trip for just those parks but I think now I'm ready. I was thinking of getting an offsite timeshare for seven days and doing mostly US/IOA and maybe Sea World or Discovery Cove (or the new Aquatica once it opens) thrown in. Of course, if we could afford the Royal Pacific for a week by the time we go (we have annual passes and maybe we can get a discount?), I'd be up for that too. Then maybe a while from now we can go back to Disney with refreshed eyes...It's a thought anyway.

Any tips for a week long trip to US/IOA would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hulk- One of the best coasters I have ever ridden.
Spidey- really cool 3-D interactive ride.
Dudley- as good a "splash ride" as there is.
MIB- Very fun shoot-em-up
Indiana jones & Posieden's fury- good shows to entertain
Dr. Seussland- Fantastic theme, perfect for all ages
Dueling Dragons- Great double coaster ride
Twister- survive it, if you can..
and on.. and on.. and on....

Can't wait until February:woohoo:

Sounds like you have a good start. You could do all parks in seven days including USF, IOA, Sea World and Aquatica. Just make sure you save two full days for Universal but if you stay onsite you should plenty of time to do everything several times.

I can relate to that :headache: I am planning our trip for next fall , staying on Disney property but spending a couple of days at US/IOA and hopefully a day at Aquatica :thumbsup2 Disney seems to get harder and more stressful to book everytime IMHO. I know on our trip in 2005 the days we spend at US/IOA were the least hectic and tons of fun.

For a week long trip....I think I would take my time in the parks and really soak it all in. Also I would plan some time to do City Walk ( I love shopping!) and if you stay on site I hear they have wonderful pools so that could be fun. We have not done Discovery Cove but I have heard great reviews of it and Sea World is good for a day of entertainment. :)

I would absolutely LOVE to do DC but it's so damn expensive...even for us FL residents. :sad2:

I agree with you metro when we were down in june I wanted to take the family to DC until I seen the prices:scared1: and on our tight budget and even when we go in july 2008 we still won't be able to afford it.
Oh well at least we will be at universal. :yay: :dance3: :yay:
