Hey y'all! I'm phlppians413, formerly known as PeaceLuvTheMouse. And now...
"It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. And now, we invite you to relax; let us pull up a chair as the DIS proudly presents..." :dance3:

"THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME" an OCT. 2014 PTR! :cool1:

This will be my second PTR/TR (my first -- for which you can find the link in my signature -- is under the old account).
Let's get started!

First things first: the cast of characters! :thumbsup2

Me :tinker:: I'm a teenage Disney fanatic! No, actually, I think it's more of an obsession... :rolleyes1

Anyway

Some of my favorites...

Park: Magic Kingdom & Blizzard Beach

Ride: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad & Space Mountain

Attraction:
Mickey's Philharmagic & Festival of the Lion King

Movie: ummm...wow, that's a tough one...I guess either The Little Mermaid or The Lion King/Lion King II, but that's only if I have to pick one (which is practically impossible)....OH! I almost forgot Frozen! What is wrong with me?!

Character: again, really hard...probably Tinker Bell or Kiara or Ariel or Nala or...well you get the idea

This is me on my first trip in 2003:

And on my most recent trip in 2013

Next up on our cast list...

DLB :stitch:: he's not quite as into Disney as I am :confused3 but he does have fun when we go! Except when it comes to "thrill rides" that is (like Splash, or BTMRR, etc.) He doesn't want anything to do with those! :confused3

Some of his favorites...

Park: Epcot

Ride: Test Track...which he's never ridden, but whatever :sad2::rolleyes:

Attraction: Festival of the Lion King (which he has deemed the Tumble Monkey show)

Movie:
all 4 Pirates of the Caribbean pirate:

Character: Captain Jack Sparrow pirate:

This is us in 2013

Next up...

Mom ::MinnieMo: 2Monkeys here on the DIS & the other Disney fanatic in our family! She & I are practically the same person...& I'm not exaggerating! :rotfl:

Some of her favorites...

Park: Magic Kingdom

Ride: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Attraction: Mickey's Philharmagic

Movie: umm.. all of them!

Character: Sorcerer Mickey:smickey:

This is the 2 of us on our most recent trip in 2013

And finally...

Dad :goofy:: the biggest kid in our family! He's been affectionately dubbed "Goofy" & is the true thrill-seeker out of the 4 of us!

Some of his favorites...

Park: Blizzard Beach

Ride: Rock 'n' Rollercoaster

Attraction: Lights, Motor, Action! & Festival of the Lion King

Movie: ummm... he couldn't give me an answer haha

Character: Goofy, of course! :goofy:

This is us on my first trip...

in 2013

Well, that's us! We are one crazy, fun-loving family! :thumbsup2 I'll be back later to fill you in on some more details about our upcoming October Disney adventure!

Until then, see ya real soon! :wave2:

Hey, y'all! It's time for another installment of this PTR! :thumbsup2 Oh, and just in case you were wondering, we leave in.....

135 DAYS! :cool1::cool1::cheer2::cheer2:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Now, on with the show!

This is our plan as of now. Mom & I have talked a lot about it recently, so we're pretty sure this is how it's going to go. But who knows? :confused3 It's very possible that this could change.

But for now...

Thurs. Oct. 2nd: ARRIVAL DAY! :cool1: DLB & I still have to go to school this day, but Mom will probably check us out around 2 PM, because our flight is at 5:30ish (I'm really not sure what the exact time is, haha). We'll check into Pop Century and hopefully take some pictures around the resort.

Fri. Oct. 3rd: Animal Kingdom! There are morning EMH at 8 this day, and we have an ADR at Tusker House for 10:10 AM.

Sat. Oct. 4th: This day we're going to sleep in a little, maybe go to Downtown Disney to do some shopping. Dad is running in the Tower of Terror (I think) Run that night and has to go to DHS around 7 PM. While he's doing that, Mom, DLB, & I are going to my favorite park....MAGIC KINGDOM!

Sun. Oct. 5th: Again, sleeping in this morning. Frankly, it's going to kill me to "sleep in" two days in a row at Disney; I just don't do that! Anyway, we have an ADR at Kona Cafe at 2:00 PM, and then that night we're going to MNSSHP!

Mon. Oct. 6th: Typhoon Lagoon!

Tues. Oct. 7th: Seaworld!

Wed. Oct. 8th: Epcot! This is our only all-day Epcot day, much to Mom's dismay. She is so excited about F&W!

Thurs. Oct. 9th: DHS! We have an ADR at Mama Melrose for 12:15 PM. Hopefully we'll get to see Fantasmic! that night.

Fri. Oct. 10th: This is going to be our lazy day (supposedly). Dad practically insists on having one every trip, but I'm hoping that I can convince Mom that the two of us can just go on to MK without the guys. Fingers crossed! We have an ADR at Whispering Canyon for 12:00 PM.

Sat. Oct. 11th: MK! This is the only day we're rope-dropping MK, and I have every intention of being there from open to close. We have an ADR at Be Our Guest for 4:30 PM. Mom's talking about cancelling this, but....I really want to meet the Beast!

Sun. Oct. 12th: Check out of Pop and board the plane back to reality. Again, not sure what time our flight is really, but I think it's around 9 AM.

Well, that's all for now. Until next time!

See ya real soon! :wave2::wave2:

Hey, y'all! I'm back with some more details! Oh, & a side note before I get started -- if you're following along with this PTR, please feel free to post back & let me know. The faster I get to 10 posts, the sooner I can post pictures. :thumbsup2 Anyway....now on with the show!

So, in looking back over my earlier posts, I realized there was one "character" I had left out of the introduction. Now, this is something new that I'm trying, so hang in there with me!

In November, we went to see Disney on Ice: Princess and Heroes. princess:princess: I LOVED this show! But that's not what this post is about.:offtopic: While walking around and looking at all the Disney merchandise you could buy before and after the show, I spotted something I knew a had to have...a miniature stuffed Flounder! Yes, Flounder as in Ariel's best friend. :jumping1::sail::fish:

Well, (and I am stealing this idea) I decided that Flounder is coming along on this trip. He'll be part of a photo journal of sorts. He fits easily into my backpack that I carry around the parks, so it'll be easy to carry him around to take pictures with.

This picture is from the night of the show. Sorry it's such a bad quality picture; I took it on an iPhone...in the dark. And my hair looks ratchet.

So, that's all for now!

See ya real soon!

:thumbsup2 132 DAYS :thumbsup2

Whew! Now that I'm at 10 posts, I'm going to go back and add the pictures back into to previous posts.

See ya real soon!:wave2:

So we're 119 days away, and our plan has changed...drastically. Okay, maybe "drastically" is a bit dramatic,:rotfl: but it has changed quite a bit. Here's why: every trip I remember, we've always gone to MK first. Always. And if you look at our original plan, you'll notice that we aren't doing that. Um, problem! :confused3

So, Mom and I decided to re-work the plan in order to allow us to take advantage of more EMH as well as go to MK for our first park. Well, as we started talking about it, things began to...evolve.:upsidedow So now, we've changed park days, ADRs, & added park hoppers to our tickets.

Now, I give you: our plan! (again!)

Thurs. Oct. 2nd: fly into Orlando & check into Pop:cool1:

Fri. Oct. 3rd: MK all day; hop over to DHS for Fantasmic! at 8

Sat. Oct. 4th: morning EMH for DHS; Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano at 12:00 PM; Dad has the ToT 10-miler at 7; Mom, DLB, & I to MK for EMH until midnight

Sun. Oct. 5th: Kona Cafe at 2:00 PM; MNSSHP

Mon. Oct. 6th: Typhoon Lagoon; Epcot for F&W

Tues. Oct. 7th: DTD & Disney Quest; Boardwalk for Beaches & Cream

Wed. Oct. 8th: Epcot all day - evening EMH until 11; possibly hop over to DHS for a little while.

Thurs. Oct. 9th: Seaworld & Sweet Tomatoes

Fri. Oct. 10th: AK - morning EMH; Tusker House at 10:10 AM

Sat. Oct. 11th: MK all day; Be Our Guest at 4:30 PM

Sun. Oct 12th: check out & board the plane back to reality

So, that's where we're at at this point. August 3rd is our FP+ date, so that's our next big thing.

See ya real soon!:wave2:

Our travel dates are almost identical. We fly in on 10/1 and fly home 10/11. So of course I have to join and follow along as you make your plans. :thumbsup2

Hey y'all! So we're....96 days away!! Unfortunately, I don't have a real update for you just yet. Instead, I'm asking for advice. Our FP+ booking date is just barely over a month away (August 3rd). So, of course Mom & I have started talking about WHAT we should get a FP+ for. So now I'm asking you, the people of the DIS.

Are there certain rides/attractions that we should AVOID getting FP+ for?

Is the FP+ for meeting Anna & Elsa worth it?

Answers to these questions as well as any other advice y'all can give is greatly appreciated.

Until next time...

See ya real soon! :wave::wave2:

I think thinks like Living with the Land Boats don't make a lot of sense for a fast pass. Anna and Elsa probably are worth it if you want to see them. From what I understand unless you have a fast pass... you basically will be waiting all day to see them. My best advice is to have the ap on your phone so you can change your fp+ on the go. I can't tell you how many times we had a set of fast passes and ended up going to a different park.
