Thanks Cheryl! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I can't believe it's only 19 days either...you are right, I am pretty much going nuts thinking about it. I keep thinking how Monday is already December, then Tuesday we'll be at 2 weeks, which means soon we'll only be at 10 days, which means single digits and then we're there!

I am so bad. We're only 18 days away from our trip and I had to do some Disney shopping. I was thinking about ordering some more pins for trading (of course if I did they would be doubles of ones I have, we all know what happened the last time I ordered trading pins! ). Well, I came across this set of Christmas pins on ebay...they are all hidden Mickey ones too and are only available in Disneyland. They are super-cute and only cost $26 for six pins! Not a bad deal, hey? I was thinking that when I got them I could maybe find some sort of wreath and put the pins on them and have a custom Disney Christmas decoration. We'll see though...just trying to be a little creative!

Since I'm in a shopping mood, I've already made a list of souvenirs I'd like to pick up when we're there. There's no better place to shop than in Disney World! I'm sure my list will grow once we get there (hopefully I can control myself though), but here's what I would like to look for:

a Christmas ornament of some sort...I know they have tons to choose from, especially at the Christmas store!

Pins...here is where I really need to control myself. There are 3 that I want for sure: a Beach Club pin, a 2009 pin, and a MVMCP pin.

the event music CD...It has the music from MNSSHP and the P&PP. I am hoping they still have this. *crosses fingers*

maybe a t-shirt????? We'll see.

We get an ornament every year from the Ye Old Christmas Shoppe (my favorite in Disney!) Last year it was of Chip and Dale putting up a Christmas tree Six pins for $26 is an AMAZING deal!
Shopping in Disney is the most fun!

I can't believe we leave in just 24 days! And now that it's getting really cold here I really can't wait for December 16th. The other night it was 22 degrees. No major updates to add. We haven't heard anything more about airline changes so that is good. I also told the principal at the school where I've been subbing just to let her know that I'd be gone then (OK, I also wanted to see if she knew how long the teacher is going to be out...it sounds like she doesn't even tell the principal anything! ). She was very nice about it and said they'd work around it. I'm kind of sad that I'm going to miss their Christmas concert but hey, I'll be in Disney World so I guess I can't really complain!

I've been reading my Imagineering Field Guides and looking at my Disney pictures. AHHH I am so excited! I'm even starting to plan my shopping list for what I want to get. I know, that is kind of pathetic...I was just looking at the Official Disney Pin Trading site and saw all the holiday pins that are coming out. Ohh boy there are so many cute ones. But I'll have to see what they have when we get there.

Oh yeah, I also wanted to share this...the other day I was on iTunes and just randomly did a search for Disney World and came across a cool CD. It's by the Disney World band. I bought a couple of songs from it that I need to add to my ipod. I think you should check it out. You'll feel like you're on Main Street!

I am going to miss our school's holiday concert, too. But, I agree with you! You can't compare that to being at WDW!!!

We used to always get Disney ornaments then for a while we didn't...now I'm back to getting tons of Disney ones. I will definitely have to check out Ye Old Christmas Shoppe.

Thanks! Mom and I went out to Michael's today and I looked at wreaths but unfortunately they all seemed too big...I didn't want the pins to get lost in it. So instead I got one of those foam rings and some ribbon to wrap around it and that'll have to do for now.

I know! I feel sort of the same way. As much as I'm enjoying subbing (the kids are all awesome!) it'll be nice to have a week off.

Hopefully the pins will arrive early this week and I can start putting my creation together. But usually when I come up with a good idea it looks better in my head than in reality.

Only 16 days to go!



I am getting more and more anxious the closer we get...I don't think I can wait any longer! Especially with all the snow we are supposed to get overnight and into tomorrow. We might get up to 10 inches. If we do get that much maybe there will be a snow day. Hey, I can hope, can't I? But I guess as long as we don't get that much snow the day we're supposed to leave it's all good.

Last night I watched the Disney holiday special from the Travel Channel (yes, we recorded it and put it onto a DVD...). Love that show! I can't wait to see all of the decorations/shows/special holiday touches in person. I just realized how much stuff there is to do at Epcot for Christmas...it's going to be awesome being just a short walk away from there!

Guess what I found today when I got home? My pins!!! They are already here! I just ordered them on Friday and they came already. I'm kind of afraid they're fake since they seem lighter than usual (I know I've seen that's a sign of counterfeit pins) but whatever. They have an official stamp on the back and it's not like I'm going to be trading them anyways. They are adorable though! I can't wait to get started on my little project now.

Have any of you heard of the Old Spice Classic? If not, it's one of those college basketball tournaments and it's played at the Wide World of Sports during Thanksgiving week. Well, Dad said a while ago that he thought Marquette is going to be playing in it next year but he couldn't find anything that confirmed that. When I got home today he said that Emma emailed him some article saying that they are! Hmmm, I am thinking about another trip to Disney next year...how cool would that be?! Marquette basketball and Disney World...two of my favorite things. I know that we aren't going to be going before that so it would be perfect. So I'll keep my fingers crossed and drop some hints.

Ohhh we got some of that too yesterday before it turned to snow. It is strange because it's like we go from one extreme to the next. Last year when we came home in January I swear it was warmer here than it was in Florida (we were lucky to be there when FL had their record low temperatures). Gotta love Wisconsin.

Hi everyone!

We're less than 2 weeks away now! I swear I have a one-track mind now. I keep picturing myself in the parks and can't really seem to get Disney off the brain. I am so excited and am not sure how I am going to make it through these last few days (13 to go!).

There are a couple things I need to do before we go. I've been saving some change that I need to take to the bank to have cashed and then I'll need to pick up a few things from Target like small toiletries and maybe some snacks to take along. Oh yeah, and then there's the whole packing thing. Maybe I'll actually get it done before December 15.

I made my pin wreath tonight when I got home from school...it turned out kind of cute. I'll post a picture for you guys once I get it uploaded.

Oh yes, and I kind of got some more info on how much longer I'll be subbing. The teacher I've been filling in for is still not supposed to be working full day and she said I could be there for the next 12 weeks...so that's almost into March! That would be really nice. I am not going to want to leave that school!
