There's no place like "home" for the holidays...*updated 3/18 p. 43 and 44*

Great 'past pics' I really want to see the All Stars Resorts, they look like so much fun just walking around :goodvibes

That t-shirt is lovely, but if you're not going to wear it again :confused3 Maybe you'll find a nice one at WDW :wizard:

Not sure if you've heard but the Merry Member Mixers are on Fridays this year. We're still hoping to go luckily it didn't conflict with any other plans :santa:

I can't believe how close it's getting :yay: in less than a month we'll be there :woohoo: Must start packing ;)

The All Stars are a lot of fun to walk around...we took so many pictures at the 3 of them...so many great photo ops!

I do think I read that the DVC mixers are on Fridays. I would like to go too. It works out well they're on Fridays this year because Thursday we've got MVMCP.

I know, on Sunday it'll be exactly one month for us. :dance3:

If you want a tshirt to wear for cheap, you could always make one. I did an iron-on for the P&PP and it turned out really well. I put a small graphic (I'm not one for going overboard!) on a black fitted tshirt ($4 at Old Navy) and I loved how it turned out. Very simple. There are a ton of designs on the dissigns boards here!

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. Thanks for the tip!

Hi everyone! It's time for another update. hehe First, just a random note that Thursday night we went to the Tour of Gymnastics Superstars show. It was so cool to see some of the Olympians. Some of the stuff they do is just amazing. They also had some musical entertainment...some new Disney band called KSM and Jordan Pruitt (also a Disney singer). We all agreed that we could've done without them, especially the band. :crazy2: But overall it was a fun show. The best part was when some of the guys were dressed like the Jonas Brothers. :rotfl: Here's a couple pictures I took...sorry they're not that great but I wanted to share. :)

Nastia Luikin and Shawn Johnson starting the show!

Shannon Miller...does anyone remember the '96 Olympics?

The entire men's team!

Tonight we're going to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular...I'm really excited to see this! There was also a show on Thursday night letting out at the same time the gymnastics show was and people were saying the Rockettes were amazing. Can't wait!

Now back to the trip...
I can't believe we're only 31 days away now! Tomorrow it will be exactly one month until we leave. :goodvibes Emma and I went to the mall today and we saw this little girl wearing a Cinderella dress...that got us talking about Disney World. haha We are both so excited about being at the Beach Club because it's so close to so many things: Epcot, Hollywood Studios, the Boardwalk...it's going to be great! :thumbsup2

Anyways, here's our Epcot must-do list:
pooh: Test Track and Soarin...a couple of our favorite rides. Soarin' might be the best attraction ever. :teeth: Emma and Dad will do Mission:Space for sure...I'm still debating if I want to try. :scared:

pooh: Tree lighting...we've never really seen any of the special holiday shows and this one seems pretty neat!

pooh: Innoventions...this was on my list for our May trip but we never went in there at all. It's always interesting to see the exhibits they have.

pooh: Maelstrom...another attraction we haven't done in a while.

pooh: Holidays Around the World...I think all the different Santas are really cool. Again, even though we've been to WDW during the holidays before we haven't spent a lot of time taking in all the seasonal events.

Stay tuned for more...popcorn::

Staying at the Beach Club is going to be amazing! Your plans look great.

I'm so excited today because we'll be in Disney World in EXACTLY ONE MONTH!!!!!

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Isn't that crazy?! I forgot to mention that last weekend I got a new suitcase that is going to be a "Christmas present" but obviously I'll get to use it for our trip. I am so ready to pack it up right now.

Since we've hit another 10-day mark, it's time for another picture! It's a rare one that has Mom in it. She just does not like being in pictures for some reason but sometimes we'll make her. :teeth:This was taken in 1993.

On our first couple of trips we loved meeting the characters and getting their autographs. I also must say that I liked it better when I was shorter than the characters. LOL.

Well, I'm off to bed to get ready for another school week (maybe I'll have some nice Disney dreams :))

The World Showcase Santa's are very entertaining! :thumbsup2 We haven't seen them all yet, but one of our favorites from last year was Father Christmas from England, he was very funny! ;) Your trip will be here before you know it, I'm already looking forward to your TR! :lmao:

Ok, I think we might have posted at the same time I almost missed your flashback picture! ;) Nice picture!! I love the old ones you post.

Yeah, we've only seen a couple of them...I know we have a picture with the one in Canada and maybe one other. Only 4 weeks left...I can't wait and it'll be fun to relive it with you all once we get back. :)

I can't believe we leave in just 24 days! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: And now that it's getting really cold here I really can't wait for December 16th. The other night it was 22 degrees. :cold: No major updates to add. We haven't heard anything more about airline changes so that is good. I also told the principal at the school where I've been subbing just to let her know that I'd be gone then (OK, I also wanted to see if she knew how long the teacher is going to be out...it sounds like she doesn't even tell the principal anything! :confused3 ). She was very nice about it and said they'd work around it. I'm kind of sad that I'm going to miss their Christmas concert but hey, I'll be in Disney World so I guess I can't really complain!

I've been reading my Imagineering Field Guides and looking at my Disney pictures. AHHH I am so excited! I'm even starting to plan my shopping list for what I want to get. I know, that is kind of pathetic...I was just looking at the Official Disney Pin Trading site and saw all the holiday pins that are coming out. Ohh boy there are so many cute ones. But I'll have to see what they have when we get there.

Oh yeah, I also wanted to share this...the other day I was on iTunes and just randomly did a search for Disney World and came across a cool CD. It's by the Disney World band. I bought a couple of songs from it that I need to add to my ipod. I think you should check it out. You'll feel like you're on Main Street!:thumbsup2

Wow, 22 degrees! Just a little cold, right? ;) :lmao: I'll have to check for that, I love listening to park music! :goodvibes This month flew by, it's almost over!

Hi Sarah,
All caught up now - 1 month to go!!!! Yay!!!
I'm excited for you!!!! I want to go back!!!!
We made it into the confectionary this trip on the last night and I got some fudge, but I forgot to take photos!! My bad! :sad2:
Didn't go into the bakery though! We just found it hard to fit everything in! I kept saying we should go in and try and find the cupcake Shawna's been talking about but we never did.
Next trip! It's good to know even people who've been more often than us haven't gone in. I know we nipped in for breakfast to the bakery last trip but I don't really remember it at all!

Hi! Welcome back from your trip. :) That is cool you made it into the confectionary. I remember seeing something about those cupcakes...maybe I'll have to try to get one. It's so hard to see everything in WDW...but that just gives us more reason to go back, right? ;)

Hi! Subscribing! We leave in 20 days for our trip! We also ordered the custom maps and I LOVE the set of 3 finding nemo ornaments! We were there for the 25th Anniversary too, can't forget that pink icing castle! :thumbsup2

Hi! Welcome to my PTR...I'm excited to have another reader. :thumbsup2 Aren't the Nemo ornaments cute?! :goodvibes I am probably going to be putting up my mini Christmas tree this weekend...I can't wait to get them out. Our trips are so soon! :woohoo: :woohoo:

20 DAYS!!!!!!

:mickeyjum :figment: :goofy: :simba: :tigger:

Our trip is right around the corner now! We've got half a day of school today then 4 1/2 days off for Thanksgiving...when we go back to school on Monday it's already December.  Oh yes, and of course tomorrow we'll be in the teens! :dance3:

Here's my flashback picture of the day...it's not from Disney World but instead from Disneyland. It's from 2006 when Dad and I went to California to see Michigan play in the Rose Bowl. We went to see some float decorating for the Rose Parade, the parade itself, Universal Studios, and of course Disneyland!!! This was taken right after we got off of Grizzly River Run (pretty much like Kali River Rapids). Can you tell we got soaked?

n20305212_31350064_3845.jpg

Also, here's our must-do list for Hollywood Studios (it's still so weird to write that instead of MGM!):
:wizard: TOY STORY MANIA!!!!!!
This ride is a blast. I'm hoping we're able to ride it more than once...

:wizard: Rock 'n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror
It's funny how I used to be terrified of both of these. Now I must say that they're a couple of my favorites even if I do still kind of freak out before the launch on RNRC and the first drop on TOT.

:wizard: Eat at Pizza Planet
We love this restaurant and we didn't get a chance to eat there in May.

:wizard: See the Osbourne Lights
Kind of a no-brainer! The lights always amaze me.

:wizard: High School Musical Pep Rally
A new movie calls for a new show...can't wait to see it!

Have a great day!

Hey GIRL! Your trip is coming up so soon! I can't believe December is almost here already!

Haha, I love how yall are in jeans & hoodies... and SOAKED! ;) Was it bad having to walk around like that? Or did yall not even really notice a difference in being cold?

I love your MGM (yes, I still call it MGM!) list. Everything you listed is stuff we definitely don't wanna miss!

I know...it seems like Halloween was just here, now it's the end of November. Crazy!

haha yeah, I think you get more soaked on Grizzly River Run than you do on Kali River Rapids. The first time we went on (this was a different trip) it was pouring rain and we were already drenched and figured we couldn't get any wetter. I think all my wet clothes must've added an extra 20 pounds. :rotfl: As for being cold, it wasn't all that bad...really I think it was in the 50s or so. And we did that last so we didn't have to stay like that. LOL.

Yep, and I just realized that I forgot to put Fantasmic on there! Haven't seen that show in a couple of trips...I think we're due to see it again.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!
Hope everyone has a good day. :goodvibes Don't eat too much turkey! ;)

Who wants to join in the teen dancing with me?! Only 19 days to go! :yay: :yay:

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
