There's No Crying in Disney! ***Completed

OMGosh, I just spent the last two hours catching up on your trippie. I left off on you all heading to Mexico in Epcot for your ill-fated, non-existent dinner. I have laughed and cried thru every installment...good thing everyone is sleeping in my house! ;) There is so much to comment on but you seem like such a fun good-hearted person...I bet we would click if we met! So wanna go to Disney in Dec 2008??? Well just wanted to say I have loved every installment. I think my fav pic was the one of Hook in the parade...seriously it looks like he recognises you and is really stalking you :rotfl2: I loved the videos and you guys really had an awesome MK day. Glad you didnt forget your phone when you were recharging it! Glad you all got in a little nap...so funny!
OK can't wait to hear about your MGM day!!! :goodvibes

We are put in our holding cell waiting for the show to start and Collette has once again channeled Moody Collette (MC) again.

***!?! She was fine like 2 seconds ago. Oh my little goodness here we go again….:sad2:

So MC still has her glasses on while we’re inside the holding queue and we’re finally let in and she still has her glasses on.

I haven’t seen TLM in about 6 years so although I remember bits of it I don’t remember everything. The show starts and the audience is misted. Seriously it’s a misty spray that’s washing over us. But MC and Monica let out the biggest screams and are immediately annoyed and complaining loudly that they’re getting wet (or more specifically that their hair is getting wet). I do not remember this part of the show at all, so I wasn’t able to warn her. DC looks at me and whispers to me, “She’s so exaggerated.” :rolleyes2 I shake my head in agreement::yes:: and we kinda laugh amongst ourselves and sit back and enjoy the show.

Now I love TLM the movie, and the show is cute, but our Ariel for the show was a horrible singer. She might as well lip sync. Otherwise the show was good and it was nice to get out of the sun and heat for a bit.

We check the times schedule and we’ve missed LMA again. We don’t really care about Playhouse Disney so we don’t do that, I did Sounds Serious last time I visited MGM and that was boring and it looked closed anyway so we didn’t care to do that either. Nobody, but me wanted to see the Narnia thing and One Man’s Dream or visit the animation studios. So I said well let’s go to The Great Movie Ride (TGMR). We went on over, but the line was hideously long, so we nixed that idea. Our RnR FPs time was coming up so we decided to head on back to Sunset Blvd. and get that out of the way before we had to eat.

Collette, Monica and I were the only ones who would be riding this because Yani and DC are wusses when it comes to rollercoasters. So we dumped them with our bags and designated a spot to meet and we were off. We passed all the suckers…err people in the standby line and were soon loaded into our Limousine. Collette and Monica sat together and I sat next to this guy who asked me if I’ve ever ridden and I told him I hadn’t and he said it was like his 4th time riding today or something and that it was awesome and quoted me some statistics on the ride. I just smiled, was told by a CM to put my glasses away and tucked them inside my shirt and we were shot off!

That ride was awesome!
77.gif
The only thing that sucked was the music wasn't really blasting in my ears and I could barely hear it, and that sucked ‘cause I really like Aerosmith:rockband: and was looking forward to that part of the ride. Also my ear hurt because it kept on banging into the harness thing whenever we curved, so I suggest to be wary of wearing earrings (or at least non stud earrings) on this ride.

MC had temporarily departed Collette and she was smiling and laughing again after the ride and she and Monica had to make a quick bathroom break. So I hunted down a Photopass guy and got my pic in front of RnR:

By this time the parade had started so we made our way down the sidewalks looking for Yani and DC. When we couldn’t find them, we waited at our designated waiting spot and they ended up finding us. We watched the last 2 minutes of the parade and DC told me that Yani went on another shopping spree in Villains and Vogue for all things Jack Skellington. She also found her Man:
DSCN0778.jpg

It was almost time for our Mama Melrose ADR and I had no clue where it was. Yani and I consulted the map and went in search of the restaurant. We wandered around New York and San Francisco:
CIMG1374.jpg

I love this pic it's hilarious because DC looks so lost :lmao: (she's on the right)
P4180278.jpg

Wandered some more and could not find the freaking restaurant. :confused3 We knew we were close but we could not find our way to it, I felt like I was in an RPG game.

We eventually found it and I went to check us in and asked to combine the 2 ressies I had because I had to book Yani by herself when she rejoined us at the last minute because they didn’t have availability for 5 when I called Disney Dining, but they had no problem adding her to our ressie. The CM wouldn’t let me check in early, so I had to wait to check in and then actually check in about 10 min. later and we were promptly seated.

Well MC:cool: came back for an encore and Yani, DC and I just gave each other the “*** is wrong with her” eyes and proceeded to enjoy our dining experience.

Well Collette apparently doesn’t eat pasta. Which surprised the heck out of me because this is the same person who while I was planning all our ADRs said “Don’t worry about me, I’ll eat anything.”

Chyeah, Not! (think Crush)

Can you believe she asked our waitress if they had burgers? Oh my little goodness, she did not just say that. I wanted to die of embarrassment.:faint: The waitress gave told her no in a “duh, your in an Italian restaurant” way. Luckily there was steak on the menu and she ended up ordering that while everyone else had pasta.

Here's DC and I waiting for our food:
CIMG1378.jpg

I forgot to take pics of the food, but did remember the dessert:
CIMG1382.jpg

CIMG1383.jpg

Our meal was delicious and luckily MC decided to have some wine :drinking: and regular Collette returned back to us. Thank goodness.

Monica was having some drama crisis at home, so we took explored a gift shop where we encountered a CM who began to flirt with us via a Stitch doll. It was funny and weird at the same time. He actually did a really good imitation of Stitch and his name tag said he was from Puerto Rico which is DC and my roots and we said that to him. He was kinda weird though and then gave us some statistics on Disney merchandising of both Stitch and POTC (‘cause Yani and I had Pirate’s shirts on). We were able to finally ditch him and were still waiting for Monica to finish her home drama on the phone.

I found some snow, which I hadn’t seen for years and decided to do a snow angel:
CIMG1389.jpg

Monica finally got off the phone and we hit up Muppet Vision 3D:
CIMG1385.jpg

Yani was craving coffee, so we went in search of a coffee place and found a really cute one where we bought coffee and some really delicious cookies.

We walked by Star Tours and decided to ride since there was pretty much no wait; Yani and Collette opted out.

Then we headed back to TGMR and this time it had a shorter wait and we rode that. I think I was the only one that really enjoyed that, well Monica and Collette enjoyed our Gangster that took over our car.

The shows had all ended and so we wandered around some more and when our food was digested enough we made our way back to ToT to ride. Monica and I were the only ones who rode that one because everyone else wussed out.

There was a 10 min. wait by this time, so we walked all the way through and were soon in our elevator of death. Bwahahahahahaha! It was absolutely fabulous! We dropped like 5 times and our adrenaline was through the roof and Monica and I were laughing and shaking so much by the time it ended. Meanwhile the rest of our group was waiting for us outside the ride exit in a little shady sitting area doing this:
DSCN0773.jpg

It was almost 7pm by this time so we decided to go to our special Fantasmic! seating. DC bought herself a caramel apple and we killed some time in the shops:
P4180311.jpg

Then strolled back towards the entrance and to our top secret entrance and made the loooooooooooooooooooooong walk to the Fantasmic! arena.
Sheesh! The place was packed already! We found some good seats though and settled in for the long wait. There were annoying little gnats all over the place bothering us so DC and I decided to hide from them. Here’s DC:
CIMG1392.jpg

Much people watching later, the show finally begins! Woohooo! I have never seen Fantasmic! and all I have to say was it was so cool! Really enjoyed it. This is the only decent pic I got with a teeny tiny Mickey and the Dragon (which you can only see it’s eyes):
CIMG1395.jpg

After the show we flowed with the crowd out of MGM, and since it was still a little early I suggested we check out the Boardwalk and take the ferry to it.

But we run into a problem.....

So we get on what I soon find out to be the slowest :snail: ferry in the history of ferries. I wonder if this is the famed slow ferry from s’lates TR. Anyhoo it takes us FOREVER to finally make it to the Boardwalk. My plan was to check out the Boardwalk, maybe hit up Beaches ‘n Cream or one of the bakery’s and grab the ferry back to MGM to get a bus back to our resort.

Yeah, didn’t quite work out that way.:sad2:

While we were getting off the ferry I asked one of the CMs what time is the last ferry back and he said, “This is the last ferry.” Holy Carp!:scared1:

Now because the ferry took FOREVER to make it to the Boardwalk, everything was closed:guilty: , except for some bar/restaurant looking thing. We did wander around and I coveted the YC/BC resorts because we were supposed to stay there until my little vacation went over budget, but I vowed that I would one day stay there.

So I told everyone that we could probably catch a bus through Epcot. I knew the International Gateway was nearby so we headed in that direction, but it looks closed. OMG, now what?! Collette channels her inner actress (you know she has one people) and ups her British accent and approaches the CMs and security guard at the turnstiles. She tells them that we were lost  and desperately needed to catch a bus back to our resort :sad1: and some other BS and they ate it all up and voila!:wizard: We were allowed entrance to the closed Epcot to get to the bus stops!:woohoo:

We all thanked him and Collette continued BSing them and kissing their ****/flirting and we ran through England and into Epcot laughing :rotfl2: our butts off because we couldn’t believe we were allowed through. We all congratulated:worship: Collette on her marvelous performance and it was soooooooooooo cool to be in an empty Epcot.:cloud9: Actually it wasn’t completely empty, there were like 5 other people still making their way to the front, but that's still pretty empty.

As we were walking through and enjoying the empty Epcot atmosphere an announcement goes off. We freaked out a little, but then the announcement said that to close Epcot they were going to set off some remaining fireworks from Illuminations (or something). So we stopped and looked toward the WS lagoon and there was a countdown and then a humongous BANG as the middle of the lagoon went off in one big explosion. It was awesome! :cool1: And we cheered and whooped and laughed some more.

We tried taking pics of empty Epcot, but all our cameras had run out of memory :sad1: (we had recorded Fantasmic!) and the little memory that I had I couldn’t get a decent pic, which sucked so much because I would’ve had a perfect pic of DC in front of the illuminated Epcot ball.:sad2: Oh well. We finished our little adventure through Epcot and immediately hopped onto a bus back to our resort and called it a day. :goodvibes

Oh wait....When we got back to the resort there were some packages in our room and guess who finally arrived!

We finally got our little croc
Animaux67.gif
Fauna Focker! :woohoo:

Woohooo you finally got Fauna :yay:

Can't believe Collette ate 2 breakfasts  We normally share 2 between the 4 of us :rotfl2: You guys sure do spend a lot of time shopping, should I look in the stores for you in a few days time :rotfl2: That's awesome about getting into Epcot and the huge firework :thumbsup2

Hmmmm...psycho traveler??? Donald??? Cinderella???

Nope, read on! :surfweb:

come on lurrrvvv. who? who?:confused3

Hey, I need to do some cliffhangers every now and then. At least I won't keep you waiting for a week :rotfl2: I've only got 1 day to finish this sucker! :scared: Read on! :surfweb:

I love Beauty and the Beast. There must be something wrong with that Monica girl if she doesn't like Beauty and the Beast not to mention being snarky with you after you planned such a wonderful vacation for everybody

I don't know what her deal was. I think she may have been tired still. Oh well, I was having a great time and that's all that mattered! :goodvibes I gave up on making sure they were enjoying themselves, because basically all they had to do was show up and be led to magic.

OMGosh, I just spent the last two hours catching up on your trippie. I left off on you all heading to Mexico in Epcot for your ill-fated, non-existent dinner. I have laughed and cried thru every installment...good thing everyone is sleeping in my house! ;)

Thanks Cathy, I know I've been on a writing frenzy the last few days. I blame my ticker. LOL :rotfl2:

There is so much to comment on but you seem like such a fun good-hearted person...I bet we would click if we met! So wanna go to Disney in Dec 2008???

Don't even tease about that! :santa: I'd be there with bells on if I could! Who knows, I'd have to see what next year will bring. ;)

:goodvibes

Thank you! Yeah I thought it was funny when he looked right at us. Got a little skeeered  . DC and I started laughing afterwards though. :)

I know finally, too bad we only got to travel with her for such a short time. :guilty:
Actually it was Monica that got 2 breakfasts, and I couldn't believe it either.
Don't remind me of all the shopping, but we are females :rotfl: . Sheesh. I'm surprised we got so much stuff done on top of all the shopping. Sometimes though we had nothing better to do so killed time in the gift shops.

Next installment Very Soon!

The next morning we woke up bright and early because we had a date with my Main Man…..well, everybody except Collette. She decided that she wasn’t going to be joining us on our last park day. Whatever, fine your loss. Laterz!

The rest of us were ready for our next day of fun filled activity with our new little traveling companion Fauna! We headed out to the bus stops for our destination of the day
Fauna was very excited:
CIMG1407.jpg

A short bus ride later we arrive on time (woooohoooo) and take some pics before walking in:
CIMG1409.jpg

CIMG1411.jpg

We tell a CM that we’re here for Donald’s Breakfastosaurus and she directs us where to go to check in. We’re granted entrance and given Earth Day buttons (cool!) and once again we’re in an empty park and take advantage for some pics:
CIMG1414.jpg

CIMG1439.jpg

We follow the rest of the breakfastateers and stand in line to get checked in. Once we get called we’re led to our table, given the character shpiel and settle in to meet the fab 4 Disney style!

Monica and Yani head off to get breakfast and DC and I meet our first character. Well whaddya know! It’s my Main Guy! Hello Donald! I Lurrrve you! :
CIMG1418.jpg

There are characters visiting other tables, but nowhere near us. So when Monica and Yani come back DC and I head out to grab some food. While I’m standing in line, DC calls me over and tells me that Goofy is coming by so I get out of line and go meet the Goofmeister. Yani is very excited to meet her Main Guy:
CIMG1427.jpg

I head back to the line only to be called back by Yani for another character meet
I’m telling him the best kept secret in Disney:
DSCN0784.jpg

I check to make sure there aren’t any other characters nearby, which there aren’t, so I get back in line…again and finally get to get me some breakfast. The breakfast was uhhhh o.k. Not the best, we’ve been spoiled by our other ones and this one just did not live up to them. It did it’s job though of giving us our fuel for the day. As we’re eating a little parade/song/dance thing goes on for kids to participate. It was cute and loud, but the place was a little crowded to actually get up and do anything. When we were almost done with our meal, the Big Cheese himself graced our presence:
CIMG1426.jpg

So with no more rumbly in our tummies and all characters met, we head out to start our day in AK. I make a quick shirt change and don my limeyness. The park has just opened, but we’re...

One jump ahead of the parkgoers
One swing ahead of the crowd
We tour as fast as our feet can go!

Ahem…ok forgive my lame Aladdin parody.

I refer to the Expert of AK (Yani, who’s been to AK 3 times within the last 6 months) and we head off to grab some FPs for Kilamanjaro Safaris. DC and I decide to wait for her and Monica to get them. While we’re waiting Stitch comes out for a meet and greet, so we hop into line for our first impromptu character meet, even though DC didn’t care to meet him at all:
DisneyPhotoImage34.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage30.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage25.jpg

CIMG1449.jpg

Stitch was very loveable, and DC’s opinion immediately changed from not liking him to thinking he was cute. LOL.

Monica and Yani soon return and we head off to ITTBAB which has no wait. Here we are with Fauna:
CIMG1455.jpg

Love that show, it’s so cute and funny! As we exit I refer to our Expert tour guide and she quickly checks the times guide and says we can catch the Pocahontas show; it’s a cute show and educational I suppose, and they did a good job casting Pocahontas. We decide to head on over to Festival of the Lion King since a show was about to start and it was right there. Fauna enjoyed it:
CIMG1481.jpg

Our Safari FP time is up so we head on over to Africa. We pass the all the poor people in the standby line because by this time it is soooo freakin’ hot and I really do feel sorry for them. Glad we’re not standing in that line…haha suckers!:p Thought I wasn’t gonna say it didn’tcha? So we board our Jeep and off we go to save Baby Red before the evil poachers get her.
Some safari pics for your viewing pleasure:
CIMG1506.jpg

CIMG1499.jpg

Tour Guide Yani (TGY….who needs TGM when I have her!) says it’s time for some FPs to EE. As we’re heading that way we spot King Louie and Baloo. DC grabs my arm and starts jumping up and down and shrieking. :hyper: She absolutely Lurrrrves Baloo. So Yani and Monica head off to get the FPs for EE while we get in line to meet DCs Main Guy. King Louie left for a break, but Baloo was totally on, the CM wrangler for him pointed out DCs "Bare Necessities" (which is spelled wrong..doi)shirt and Baloo ends up proposing to DC:

Great character photos, Baloo was hilarious when we met him but proposing that's got to be the best ever :rotfl:

I'm glad that you enjoyed Fantasmic, I absolutely love it, it is my favourite nighttime show!

That whole ferry thing was must have been super annoying but at least Collette was able to work her charm and get you guys into the empty Epcot which is really cool. Too bad your camera memory was all used up:sad2:

I had heard the the food at Donald's was not all that great but it looks like you had some great character interaction!

I love the Baloo pictures, too cute!

Great updates.

You had better luck than us at MM's, we thought the food was really bland and will never return. I loved fantasmic.

Donald's breakfast we were supposed to go to then did not and after reading yours and others reviews I am kinda happy I did not.

Pics. :thumbsup2

Great updates...and I hope that Colette learns that Disney is not a place to be in a bad mood. Not that I would ever do that...;)

Great pictures! Great fun!:cool1: Bests thing of all.....according to your "ticker", you only have 1 day until your P and P party trip! :woohoo:  Have a magical time! pixiedust: Can't wait to read that TR too! :surfweb:

Sorry so Late to the Fun...But I am Subbing Now!!!!!

I have to read so would you please make No More Posts untill I Catch Up!!!!!!

Thanks

Yeah DC really enjoyed that! I felt like a mommy watching her child interact with Baloo. :goodvibes
BYE JO!! HAVE A MAGICAL TRIP!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU!!!

I'm glad that you enjoyed Fantasmic, I absolutely love it, it is my favourite nighttime show!

I thought it was amazing! There was actually a guy who worked for Disney who was talking with Collette and he was part of the engineering or technical aspect or whatever of Fantasmic! and told her that it took over 100 people to put on the show and how much Disney spends on the Fireworks and how the water stuff works. Amazing all it takes to put on that show.

That whole ferry thing was must have been super annoying but at least Collette was able to work her charm and get you guys into the empty Epcot which is really cool. Too bad your camera memory was all used up

I know I was so sad about not being able to take pics. As soon as we walked out of Epcot, I got the bright idea to take out my memory card and just use the camera's memory which holds about 5 pictures and I was like D'oh! :headache: I could've taken pics.:sad1:

I had heard the the food at Donald's was not all that great but it looks like you had some great character interaction!

I love the Baloo pictures, too cute!

Honestly I booked Donald's just to make sure I got to meet him. I would've been bummed if I made this trip and didn't get to meet him, so that was a way of ensuring that I did meet him. ;)

Gotta love Baloo!

Great updates.
You had better luck than us at MM's, we thought the food was really bland and will never return. I loved fantasmic.

Pics. :thumbsup2

MM's is good enough, I don't expect much from Disney restaurants after reading a lot of the reviews from the DIS now that the DDP is in effect, apparently it's affected a lot of the quality of "Disney Fine Dining" food. :confused3 Anyway, MM's had the most appealing menu for me. I wanted to try Hollywood Brown Derby, but it's 2 TS and I would rather use 1 TS. Glad you're enjoying my TR! Stay tuned!

Great updates...and I hope that Colette learns that Disney is not a place to be in a bad mood. Not that I would ever do that...;)

:rotfl: Of course you wouldn't act like that Jen! ;) Later I found out she was actually going through the same thing that you were though. So she was slightly forgiven.

Great pictures! Great fun! Bests thing of all.....according to your "ticker", you only have 1 day until your P and P party trip! :woohoo: Have a magical time! pixiedust: Can't wait to read that TR too! :surfweb:

I KNOW!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
I finally packed this morning :faint: and am working right now, but will be leaving bright and early in the morning! THANK YOU!!

Sorry so Late to the Fun...But I am Subbing Now!!!!!

Thanks

Could this be a first in TR history? Someone not asking for more updates! :lmao:

:welcome: Disneydad! I'm subbed to your TR too, but it has 100+ pgs! :scared1:and I've only read the intro. You're one popular dad! Luckily you don't have too many pgs to catch up on.

Plus that pesky ticker in my siggie is kinda pushing me to get this sucker wrapped up. :scared: I could torture everyone to wait a week for an update though......:rolleyes1

Whatever shall I do?! :scratchin

this is so fun...what is the deal with reading other people's trip reports....I just love it:)

You're not evil. You are just misunderstood.

Thank You Me Lady!!!!!

That was another great character meet. We waited a bit longer for Yani and Monica to return and watched some kids play on the African drums and sweated because it was suddenly blazing hot until they did. They told us that they met Flik, awww darn! I missed a meet.:guilty: Oh well, next time!

I have no idea what happened after this, but I’m pretty sure it was around 12:30 pm, it was so freakin’ hot too so we decided now was a good time to go and grab some lunch. We trekked back towards Dinoland to where Donald’s Breakfastasaurus was because I had noticed that it was a McDonald’s when not doing the breakfast thing. We were all starving and it was sooo nice to get out of the heat and into the lovely air conditioned restaurant. It wasn’t too busy and we took our time resting in the cool restaurant. Lemme tell you, the Disney McDonald’s burgers are much better than regular McD’s burgers. That’s a huge compliment because I am not a McD’s fan at all, but this is one CS I am more than happy to do again.:thumbsup2

After lunch I think we headed to watch Nemo the Musical because TGY (Tour Guide Yani) said there was a show starting in a few minutes. So we slowly made our way to wherever the Nemo Musical is (don’t remember where it was, I was following Yani and the AK maps on the websites are old….:confused3 ). I took this pic of my Main Guy and Yani, I actually don't know when I took this, but it seems like a good time to insert a pic :lmao: :
CIMG1463.jpg

We got to the show’s theater and they were directing people in which surprised me because the times guide thingy said to arrive 45 min. early, and when we got in the place it was freakin’ PACKED. There were absolutely no seats left! People were directed to the standing room only area WAAAAAAY in the back and even that was packed. I thought that was ridiculous and bad handling by Disney,:sad2: they really needed to cut off the people being allowed, yet after we came in they were still telling people to come in. We ended up finding a little spot in the standing room only area that was really uncomfortable. The show started and I had no idea what to expect, but thought it was going to be like TLM show from MGM. Uhhhh, yeah I was totally wrong. DC and Yani ended up getting bored and sitting down. My feet were starting to hurt and I wanted to sit too, but if I sat I couldn’t see. Monica then sat down too. I was falling asleep watching the show, my feet hurt and I knew the show was long, so I asked everyone if they wanted to leave. They all said yes::yes:: so we quietly exited the theater. So unlike so many people on the DIS, I give the Nemo Musical a thumbs down.:snooty: Nope didn’t like it at all.:sad2: I thought the person playing Nemo had an annoying voice and the person playing Dory sounded stupid. It was boring for me and I even though I may have been falling asleep from having just eaten and the heat and the dark theater, I usually don’t fall asleep if something is truly entertaining and this failed to do that in a big way.

We took a bathroom break and I changed my shoes to my new Croc sandals and TGY suggested we see what the wait was like for Dinosaur which ended up having a 10 min wait. I didn’t remember this ride from the last time I had visited AK so was happy to go on and it sure was fun! I do not suggest the ride to anyone who has back problems though because it does jerk you around a lot. Didn’t redneck the ride pic though.

TGY suggested we check out to see what the Kali River Rapids line was like because our EE FP time was not up yet. So we trekked on over to Asia and the Kali standby line was I think 30 min., but we decided to be the suckers:scared: this time and get in it because we were waiting for our EE FP time. That was one long line, but the queue was entertaining and it was covered. We had bought ponchos earlier that morning in the resort gift shop and since we didn’t want to be too wet we put them on right before we loaded our raft. Here’s Fauna donning her Poncho:
CIMG1544.jpg

I had never ridden Kali because last AK visit the line was way too long to wait in and I don’t think FP existed then, so I didn’t know what to expect. Luckily we weren’t the unlucky backwards drop victims, a father and daughter on our raft were the recipients of that fate. Heh heh heh, and after they joked that we were chickens for covering up; well I for one was happy not to be wet. Now you know if we weren’t wearing the ponchos that so would’ve been us. Kali was ok, thought we were gonna get wet more. That other park that-shall-not-be-named Popeye raft ride as mentioned by other DISers gets everyone soaked. Anyhoo, Kali was a nice refreshing ride though with the all the heat.

We had brought extra water that day because I know AK gets hot and we ran out completely that’s how hot it was that day that all we were doing was constantly drinking our water. Anyhoo, noboday cared to do the Maharajah Trek so we moved on.

Our EE FP time was almost up so we went on over. We spotted a Photopass guy and took a pic:
DisneyPhotoImage10.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage14.jpg

We took our time getting to EE since our FP time was still a few minutes away. We decided to goof around at the EE sign
Here’s Monica and I acting Skeeered:

Yani and DC saying “No Way”/“Crazy” that we were going to ride it and not them:

We checked out some of the gift shops to kill time and finally got to ride EE. We dumped our stuff with DC and Yani and we passed all the suckers….err standby people and quickly got on.

This is the first time either of us had ridden EE so we screamed and laughed our butts off. It was so fun! Loved it and this one is a must at AK for me now. :thumbsup2

We were tired and hot, and nobody cared for the parade but me, so decided to call it a day. On our way out, there were a whole bunch of characters so DC and I took some pics with 2 of them because the other ones had too long a lines and we already had pics with them.
First we let our conscience (does everyone always say “con” then “science” when they right that word? ) be our guide:

And we finally met up with Minnie!:

On our way back to the bus stops, Collette calls us to tell us she just woke up and where were we. We laughed and told Sleeping Beauty that we were already on our way back to the resort. I have no idea what time it was, but it was still early so the plan was to go to the resort, shower and hit DTD for some shopping and a CS dinner.

That was the plan, keyword being “was”.:headache:

Glad to see that I am not the only person on the Dis who does not care for the Nemo show.

Everest is a blast! I feel sorry for people who chicken out and don't ride, they have no idea what they are missing!

I like the picture of you and Monica acting all scared it is great:thumbsup2

You are so lucky you met Jiminy. I really wanted a picture with him but I never saw him. I thought you could only meet him out at Rafiki's Planet Watch and I was so not taking the train out there:rotfl:

Collette is too funny! Shame she slept through the AK, she missed some good times!

We showered off or glistening (sweaty) selves and got redressed to go to DTD. Collette had decided to go down to the food court and get herself some breakfast/lunch after she woke up. We had to leave bright and early the next morning so we all decided to pack up all our carp, so that we didn’t have to do it in the morning.

I don’t know what else we did but we ended up leaving late to DTD and now only had very little time to shop and grab a CS dinner. We get there and I really wanted to go the famed scrapbook store that’s supposed to be huge. I had no idea where it was and we had parked near the entrance to PI. We went into a store and looked around and bought some stuff. I got a frame that has a lot of places for pics that says “Our 2007 Walt Disney Vacation”. DC wanted to buy me a birthday present (awwww:hug: ), so I picked a Disney Scrapbook Album.

Side note: Collette and Monica had given me birthday cards and gift cards on my birthday, and Yani had bought me my Pal Mickey at Epcot. End side note.

Yani and DC bought some stuff too. I asked the CM at the register where the store that sells the scrapbook stuff was so she pulled out a DTD map and showed me. It was aaaalllllllllll the way on the other side of where we were. Ugh! She said we had to hurry though because the stores where closing. We all ran/jogged/power walked over to DTD Marketplace.

As soon as we got there I asked everyone if they wanted to grab some food first because I didn’t want the restaurants to close. Collette and Monica said no (remember this) :teacher: and Yani and DC didn’t really answer me. Alright whatever.:confused3 We found the ginormous World of Disney that DC wandered off to and we continued to search for the scrapbook place. The CM had told me it was by the Rainforest Café which we found, but had a hard time finding the store. Finally we found the store and it was a complete disappointment! :sad2: It was not a big deal and it looked cheapy and expensive. I was such a let down. I bought a few stickers and that’s it.

DC caught up with us and then it started sprinkling, but luckily didn’t start raining hard and was over quickly. By this time I see a lot of things closing up and ask everyone again if they want to eat. No one really answers. Oooookay. (remember this) :teacher:

We checked out the pin trade store and Goofy’s candy shop. I saw all the CS restaurants around us finally close. Then we went into a store and I asked the a CM where I could go upgrade to an AP and check out or photopass pics (I had read on the DIS you could do that in DTD). She directed me where the guest services area was and I went over to get my AP because I knew I would be making a few more trips this year.

The CM at guest services asked me for my KTTW card and I was reluctant to give it to him. He said I had to give it to him. I asked him how I was supposed to get back in my room and he said I could get another one at the resort. This guy was rubbing me the wrong way  and kinda pissing me off and being snarky. Which I was not liking at all.

Anyway I reluctantly handed over my KTTW card and he gave me a paper ticket with The Incredibles on it.

HUH?!

What’s this?!

The Disney AP is a freaking PAPER TICKET STUB! ***!

I was so disappointed with this and asked the CM incredulously (like my big SAT word there? ;) ) “This is the AP?”
He looked at me as if I were dense and said, “Yes.”
Me: “Why isn’t it plastic like my KTTW?”
CM: “If it were plastic like another parks’ then we’d have to charge you extra for it.”
(okay Mr attitude) Me: “Huh, but what if it rips or something.”
CM: “It’s cheaper to replace those than a plastic one.”
Me: “If they were plastic like the other parks’ then they wouldn’t have to be replaced more often.”
CM: made some snarky remark that they replace more KTTW cards than APs
Me: “Well this is disappointing because my friend’s AP for another park is plastic, cheaper and has her pic on it. Disney gives me a paper ticket. That's kinda cheap. Thanks.” and I walked away.

I know it’s such a stupid thing to get worked up for and argue but really!
This multi million probably billion dollar company gives out thousands and thousands of plastic KTTW cards, but they can’t give AP holders a nice sturdy plastic card because it costs more?!  Makes no sense to me, but whatever.

I go off to find the gang. Collette and Monica have found the Photopass counter area and are talking with the CM there and looking at the pics. They tell me that we can order a CD for $139 or whatever it is and all that other shpiel. I nod::yes:: my head because I already knew this from the DIS.:disrocks: Collette and Monica were disappointed that they didn’t get more pics with the photopass. Hey, not my fault because I did tell them at some point during the trip about the photopass thing but they probably didn’t pay attention to me or not understand.

Anyhoo the CM suggests that since we’re 4 we could split the costs and buy 1 CD and then burn a copy for each other. Collette and Monica find this to be a great idea and I was going to suggest it too, but the CM beat me to it. We agree and she went on to tell us about all the little logos and borders you could put on the pics (but did not mention the character siggy things! ) Our Test track pic was on our Photopass which was a surprise and I asked her if there were other ride pics, but she said no, but that Disney was trying to see if they could add that feature to the photopass (which would be an awesome idea IMO:) ). So we bought our CD just as the store was closing and then guess what happens?

Wait for it

Wait for it

Wait for it

Wait for it

Wait for it

Collette and Monica want to eat.:headache:

Oh my goodness, I swear. I just wanted to laugh.:rotfl2:

I said it was too late because everything was closed now. They looked a little annoyed, but I offered food TWICE and they refused.

As we were leaving DTD Collette spots McD’s and says we can get food there. I tell her I don’t want McD’s but she can go ahead if she wants plus I don’t think they’re part of the DDP. She starts walking towards McD’s and the rest of us sit down at a table to wait for her because they didn’t want McD’s either (we already had burgers at AK for lunch). Halfway to the entrance she turns around and sees us all sitting and asks why we’re all sitting there. Monica tells her that we’re waiting for her and she asks if anyone else is going to eat. We all shake our heads no and Monica tells her we had McD’s for lunch. So Collette gets a little annoyed and says that if nobody else was going to eat then we should just go. Monica tells her to go ahead and get food that we’ll just wait for her. But she insists that she’s not going to alone. Ok, here’s some more separation anxiety? :confused3

Whatever.

We have to go back through PI to get to our car, but we’re stopped by a security guard or cop or something and we’re asked for our ID’s. We show her our ID’s, but tells DC that she can’t go through because she’s not 21. What?! What is this? I tell her she’s with me, that she’s my sister. She says she can’t go through. Collette hears this and starts arguing :furious: with the cop/guard lady telling her that we came this way a few minutes ago and are just going back to our car. The lady is pissy back to Collette saying that DC can’t go through. More arguing and more being denied and told to go around through the parking lot.

Ugh, how annoying!

We leave with Monica and Collette still arguing. I grab Collette and tell her to just let it go. They’re probably doing that because it’s a Friday night in DTD/PI and they don’t want minors going into the clubs or drinking or something, which is ridiculous because DC has gone into PI with me before when she was 18. Whatever, she finds it completely ridiculous and is annoyed. So do I, but I’m not about to continue wasting my time arguing with the cop/guard lady.

We find our car and head on back to the room and hoping maybe the food court is open. Unfortunately it’s not (why do food places close so early in Disney?!). Back in the room, DC, Monica and I have some microwaveable Chef Boyardee that we brought. Collette didn’t want that and Yani wasn’t too hungry.

We settled in and had our last night’s sleep in Disney before heading out in the morning.:sad1:

Oh, Fauna accompanied us at DTD and she bought some stuff too:

Then settled in with her new Pal:
