Theres a (real) mouse in my house (Update)

The construction drives them out of their natural habitat. We live next to a cornfield, get tons of mice in the garage and basement, sometimes in the walls. They stay out of our living area, thank goodness. When they were building next door we had them really bad that year. We keep poison traps baited all year.

Well, little Mickey was found.

We came home yesterday and found the cat with her big rear end sticking up in the air jammed half way under the recliner.

We shoed her away and got some tupperware and caught him. We missed him the first time and he ran between Jeffs legs and then behind a bin filled with toys. We chased him into the Tupperware then and I carried him outside. I just let him go by the back fence (I know , he will probably just find his way back in) and he hopped away. At first I thought maybe he was a pet mouse because of how he looked, but when I put him down and he hopped, I knew he was wild.

My overdeveloped sense of worry made me wonder if he would be cold, Jeff rolled his eyes and said they hadnt made it this far in the evolutionary scheme of things if they got cold in the winter of Southern California. I suppose hes right.
