There's a Pin for Oct-Dec. in the System for me!?!

I just called WDW reservations to check on availability for a Jan. trip not planning to book it today. The CM told me that I had a pin in the system for use between Oct. and Dec. She couldn't tell me what it was - it hadn't been released yet. Can't wait to see ....
 
Anyone elso call in today? Tempting! Really don't want to pay rack rate for October! Hope this is an official discount pin code! WooHoo!! :sunny:
 
so there was a pin for Oct./Nov. for you but it is not offical yet?
did the CM said when you could call back and what the delails are ....

I just called, but i gotta really bad csr. She was unable to find my existing reservation and i ended up being transferred to guest relations. Guest relations was uable to tell me about any discount codes or the like. She said that previous department had access to that information. I didn't feel like being tranferred back so i just hung up. I'll call tonight when i can get my reservation and contact a regular service rep. to inquire about this new code and to check up on my existing ressie.
 
The CM did not know when I would be notified or what the rate would be. It does sound like it is for the offers that they send out to individuals rather than a general code. I would expect to see some sort of Fall Fantasy rates come out soon though. I will let you know what my offer is when I get it.

I am so curious about this just had to hop on. We also are going mid november and hoping for a code or discount. We go at least once a year and have had a pin code for us before. Praying for one now!
 
So, do you guys just call and ask if there is a pin code attached to your name? Is that the wording you use? Just want to be sure, because we are staying at the Poly in October and I could use a discount!!

I wonder if this is something with the Year of a Million Dreams, did you sign up on the website?

I want to know what this PIN is. :confused3 I keep hearing about it but no one has ever told me. I booked through WDW website, should I call periodically to check on my ressie and hope they give me a code. :scratchin

First trip this November 18-25. I need any advice and insight anyone can give me. I welcome any tips. Please help me.

I believe a PIN is a code given by random selection to guests on Disney's database. There's no sure way of getting one. I've read posts from guests who were at WDW 20 times and never got a PIN code and from those who were there once and got one. Totally random!! I guess if you are calling CRO anyway, you could say that you've heard of PIN codes and could she/he check to see if there's one attached to your name. Sometimes people get emails informing them that they have a (PIN) code, other times they ask CRO. It wouldn't hurt to ask but chances are slim by all accounts. Oh, and when someone does have a PIN code attached to their name, it's non-transferable so only that person can use it.
 
Thanks a bunch DebIreland. :thumbsup2 I've heard so many different things from so many people just wanted to make sure I was on the right track. I think I'll have to call CSR tonight, hoping for good news.
 
This reminded me that we used to get these in the mail but have moved and they did not get forwarded. Does anyone know if you can call and give them the new address?
