This pic is a riot!

Notice that someone decided to take mom's advice today and put that hot hair up.:rolleyes1

smart girl!

I took Amelia and Ian on Goofy’s Barnstormer, the only rollercoaster Ian was tall enough to ride. Turns out that wasn’t such a bad thing. He was NOT impressed with the Barnstormer AT ALL! In fact, I thought the poor boy was going to have an aneurism half way through. From this time forward every ride was subject to Ian’s Standards for an Acceptable Ride: Is it fast? Are there downs? No? Let’s ride!
aww, poor Ian!

We raced right over and were first in line to see Marie.

so cute!

We were second to see Stitch.

Stitch the Belly poker.

:thumbsup2

Does he not look deranged?
135.jpg

VERY deranged, scary :scared1:

Sorry, no pictures, but we pretty much inhaled the food. I would have faced major mutiny if I'd have made them wait for a picture. The burgers were meh, but the toppings bar was great, and the fries and carrot cake we got for dessert were extra yummy. With hunger satisfied, we had a choice to make: Do we try to replace the stroller or do we have Ian walk the rest of the day?

Next Post: More MK and a missing child!

yeah, sometimes you just have to EAT and whatever is closest will do. What a drag on the stroller and :scared1: a missing child?

BTDT and my heart stops just reading that.

I love the Buzz picture... that is one of the best trapped ones I have seen.

Marie... I had heard she is sometimes out how fun- Hannah likes that movie a lot!

Sorry about the misunderstanding on the FPs....

Missing Child- yikes!

MISSING CHILD I haven't used a stroller there in a while but never knew that you could leave it and get another at a different stop.

This picture is great! :lmao:

She was absolutely awesome, telling the girls that HER daughters would never make the faces that the princesses on THEIR shirts were making. She also asked Ian if he would like to marry one of her daughters and he said YES! She told him to come back tonight and he promised not to forget. ;)

I love it! I really want to meet Lady Tremaine and her daughters one day -- the interaction is always hilarious!

Notice that someone decided to take mom's advice today and put that hot hair up.:rolleyes1

Amazing that we sometimes know what we are talking about, isn't it? ;)

Ian would probably name this Goofy's Death Defying Ride of Doom.

I am right there with Ian! I am not a fan of Barnstormer!

We could feel the heat and hunger sucking all of the civility out of us.

It happens to the best of us! ;)

Next Post: More MK and a missing child

Great update. Lots of character interaction. I love riding Buzz, DS gets so mad if I beat him.

I'm pretty sure George was our high scorer.

Great meet with the Stepmother! Watch out for your future daughter-in-law:rotfl: That Goofy's Barnstormer is a little deceiving. It's short, but does go really fast. My thrill seeking 4 year old loves it, but he also loves Splash Mountain so he's definitely not your typical 4 year old:lmao: I remember my 7 year old went on it when he was 4 and felt the same way as your DS. Oh and how fun you got to see all those characters with no wait! Your own secret character spot:thumbsup2 I hope you get another stroller.

I couldn't believe Ian said yes! He usually says he's only going to marry me!:rotfl:

I love these two pics.

Thanks.:) Don't you just love that castle?:cloud9:

Wouldn't Lady Tremaine be a hoot as a tour guide of MK ?

Yes!:rotfl:

:lmao:

Poor baby.

Marie!

We  Marie!

Oh. My. :scared:

It's just so hard to understand why he wasn't mobbed.

I hope you got another stroller and a missing child ?? :scared1:

The answer coming soon...

135.jpg

Say, isn't that the missing pin on her purse?

Hey Miss Sharp Eyes, you're right!! Ok, I guess I described it as a tiger stripe. It's a giraffe print. Or was.:sad1:

Okay first, great update! I had a few comments to make but I cannot remember what they were cuz you said "missing child"!!! :scared1: Please don't leave us hanging too long!!! :guilty:

I promise.:)

Oh my goodness! I love character jackpots! I hope to hit a few in the Fall! :woohoo: Those country bears are scary looking. Very unDisney like.

Goofy and Donald Duck were there as well, but we'd just seen them at Chef Mickeys.

Too funny about the hair being up today. Hehehe. Totally something I wouldn't have listened to my Mom about either until I learned myself. :rotfl2:

Yes, sometimes natural consequences are the best teacher.;)

yeah, sometimes you just have to EAT and whatever is closest will do. What a drag on the stroller and :scared1: a missing child?

BTDT and my heart stops just reading that.

It's not a fun experience..

I love the Buzz picture... that is one of the best trapped ones I have seen.

I love how every one of them has a different expression.

Marie... I had heard she is sometimes out how fun- Hannah likes that movie a lot!

She's sweet, and who doesn't like to hug a kitty?

Sorry about the misunderstanding on the FPs....

I was not impressed with my DH just then, but it worked out.

Missing Child- yikes!

Totally!

MISSING CHILD I haven't used a stroller there in a while but never knew that you could leave it and get another at a different stop.

The rentals don't fold, so they can't be brought on the railroad. I think it was too early for many people to have left Frontierland for Fantasyland, so there just weren't any strollers there yet. Either that, or I just missed them which is also entirely possible.

This picture is great! :lmao:

I like it too.

I love it! I really want to meet Lady Tremaine and her daughters one day -- the interaction is always hilarious!

She was an unexpected bonus and I'm so glad we stopped. She was just awesome.

Amazing that we sometimes know what we are talking about, isn't it? ;)

Occassionally.:rolleyes1

I am right there with Ian! I am not a fan of Barnstormer!

Barnstormer is the one rollercoaster at WDW that doesn't scare me to death.

It happens to the best of us! ;)

I thought you might understand, CP.

Yes, indeed!

Buzz is such a fun ride!! Love the pics behind the bars!!!:thumbsup2

Poor Ian on Barnstormer.:sad2:Glad Amelia enjoyed it though.:goodvibes My boys love that ride!! We usually try to get to ToonTown when it first opens so they can ride it over and over with little wait, since the ride is so short!!!

Yay!! for the secret character spot!!!:yay: But I must admit Wendell from the Country Bears does look a little deranged!! :lmao:

Oh no!! A missing child???

Yes, I have a very dramatic bunch!

I felt bad that Amelia didn't get to ride it again right then because she wanted to, but she got another ride later in the week.:thumbsup2

Yay!! for the secret character spot!!!:yay: But I must admit Wendell from the Country Bears does look a little deranged!! :lmao:

We never went to see The Country Bears after that enounter.:rolleyes1

Oh no!! A missing child???

Yep, but it may not be quite what you think.;)

AWW what fun character photos!!! Mine are just not interested in the characters.. not sure why! Maybe when they are a little older I can get them to ham it up. But your DS looks so happy! We like barnstormer! It is a neck jerker to be sure, and sooo short, but I think they like the plane!!! :rotfl:

We have a photo pass share, too. so ours are coming, can't wait to see yours posted! Lunch, a good thing -- we only did QS at MK once, at Casey's, but I have heard good things about Pecos Bills!

I promise to have an update posted later today. Yesterday was one heck of a day. Our water heater failed, so since mid morning we've been without hot water AND had a flood on the mechanical room floor.:sad2: We've got a friend who owns a plumbing business coming over today to replace the heater. Thankfully it didn't fail when we were on vacation.:scared1:

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

What a mess:headache: Don't worry about your TR fans. We can wait as long as you need us to:hug:

Thankfully it didn't fail when we were on vacation.:scared1:

Thank heaven for small favors! OK, let's call that a small to mid size favor... that is not something you want to come back to after vacation.

Take your time! We'll be here. :grouphug:

We were at MK that same day. We were all the way to the left at opening. That's why we didn't see each other.

I can't believe you saw Evil Stepmom and Marie. I would have loved to see both. Very :hippie:

Please don't tell me about a missing child. This is my worst fear.:scared1:

UGH! I've been through that twice and once while I was out of town. :hug:It's just amazing how much damage water can do in such a short amount of time. No worries, we will be here!

Thanks guys.:grouphug: We STILL don't have a new water heater. After driving all over, it became clear that 50 gallon LP tanks are not easy to find, so our plumber friend is going to call his supplier tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be able to get it as inexpensively as we could through a large hardware store, but who knows? SO, no hot water yet, but we're hobbling by and should have it restored tomorrow. And now I'm going to work on posting my next update.:thumbsup2

Okay, Christine! I loved your update until I got to this...

Now I am so anxious to see what happened! :worried:

Kathy

p.s. I think that Wendell Bear looks deranged, too!!

I'm posting shortly.:)

Ian LOVED the characters. I never had to prompt him to go say hello. In fact, we had an experience with a character later in the trip where Ian was a little TOO over exuberant to meet him.:rolleyes1 Ooh, when is your CD coming? I can't wait to post some of our pictures.

We were at MK that same day. We were all the way to the left at opening. That's why we didn't see each other.

Bummer.:sad2:

I can't believe you saw Evil Stepmom and Marie. I would have loved to see both. Very :hippie:

It was especially nice since seeing them was a complete surprise.

I will just say, all's well that ends well.:thumbsup2

We decided………..to get a new stroller. I knew Ian was getting tired and we wanted to have somewhere for him to lay his weary head if he needed to. The stroller rental set up in Frontierland was odd. It was located inside a store, there were no signs posted, and the cashier brought a stroller out from the back. Anyway, after sliding our name sign into the new stroller, we were off for a ride on a pirate barge.

137.jpg

Ian scolded me for not telling him about the one “down” but I honestly forgot, and he loved the rest of the ride. After our pirate cruise we decided to explore Tom Sawyer’s Island. George was going to run ahead for Haunted Mansion fast passes and meet us over there. I remember loving TSI as a kid, with all of the caves and bridges and places to explore. My crew felt the same way. We explored the cave first, walked the barrel bridge and saw the windmill, I think?

138.jpg

George called then to say that he was on his way over, minus fast passes because they were all gone.:sad2: We met him down at the dock and the girls and I were really done. Did I mention it was hot? It was hot. I told George that Ian really wanted to explore the fort and its accompanying guns, which we hadn’t gotten to yet. Maddy, Amelia and I would wait. George and Ian took off to find the fort. The girls and I waited. And waited. And then for good measure we waited some more. Finally the boys came back.
“Hey guys, how did you like the fort?”
“We didn’t find the fort.”
“What, you were gone forever.”
“Ian wanted to explore the mine, and then we couldn’t find the fort.”
“Oh. Remember the map of the island that I pointed out to you before you guys left?”
“I didn’t look at it. I figured it wouldn’t be hard to find.”
“Oh. Well, let’s get going. We’re fried and would like to be done waiting.” Grrr.

Oh look. It's the map.

We took our raft back to the mainland and decided to use our fast passes for Splash Mountain and then go back to the Beach Club for an afternoon break before dinner. We got a child swap fast pass and the girls and I took the first log ride. None of us had ever ridden before and we all loved it! I was surprised at how long it was. We got a little wet, but during the first drop, not the big one. We then went to find George and Ian near the ride's entrance. Ian had fallen asleep in the stroller so I stayed there with him while George went to take another zippidy doo dah dandy ride with Madeline and Amelia. It was quite comfortable there in the shade and I was relaxing and people watching. A family with 4 small children had their two double strollers parked close by and the mother was talking to a tour guide they'd hired for the day. I'd never actually seen a tour guide in one of the parks, so I was watching and listening to her interaction with the family. The dad began looking like he was casually looking for something. He wandered around the entrance area to SM, then up near the restroom area, and finally down on the path where Splash exits. Finally he called out to his wife, "Sissy wake up! XXX is missing!" The mother looked at the children near her, as if to confirm that one was actually missing, and asked the tour guide if she'd stay with the others. Both of them began searching. My heart was in the pit of my stomach at this point. If you read my PTR you know I had my own missing child experience 4 years ago that I NEVER want to repeat. Soon, the dad was back with a security CM, pointing out the other kids' tshirts because the missing boy was wearing the same thing. A few minutes after that I noticed that the mother was back talking to the tour guide, so I asked her if her son had been found. She said that he had. He had wandered all the way to the TSI boat dock! We talked for a few minutes about how scared she had felt and grateful that her little boy was back. They left shortly after that and I kissed my little boy, so grateful that he never decided to wander off in WDW. When George and the girls were done with their ride we returned the stroller and hopped on a waiting bus for the BC. Our dinner reservation was fast approaching and I was hoping to call and move it back an hour or two so that we could swim and rest first.

Next Post: Kona Review and a magical MK evening

TSI looks like a lot of fun! I must, must, must take the kids there sometime!

That poor woman -- losing a child at Disney has got to be the worst feeling EVER! I am so glad she found him!
